Bait and switch, dishonest: I called in for a quote on a known issue (clutch going out), quoted $1500-$1800 on the phone and told I'd get a formal written quote when I bring it in. I had two other quotes at $2000 so decided to go with them. Call back with a quote of $2002, so I went ahead with it matching the others. Get in to pick it up and the bills $2450. Just another scumbag shop lying their way through and ripping people off. Steer clear. read more

This is the same great shop that used to be in Wheat Ridge on 44th, and nothing has changed - a great, honest and knowledgeable business to correctly diagnose and repair your transmission, which is one of the most complex components of modern automobiles. I called and spoke with the manager Ron for an appointment and knew within minutes of being on the phone with him that I could expect the same quality of service and fair pricing I had experienced at their old location. He got me an appointment within a couple days and by late that morning had the news - the leak another shop had spotted and told me it was due to a 'pin hole' in my differential was in fact from the engine area! The other shop wanted to dig in but fortunately I got the car back and called Advanced to give it a look or who knows what would have resulted. He left the car up on the rack and showed me the real problem - and didn't charge me a cent, not even a diagnostic fee for their time which I would have been glad to pay. I've been recommending this shop for years after they worked on my previous Corvette transmission, and I'm glad to continue to do so. read more

We were directed to Advanced Transmission by an auto repair company who told me the problem is that my transmission needed replacing. When I went in Ron, the manage, met me right away. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I told him I was sent here because I have to have a new transmission. He asked if he could keep the truck and check it out and then call me to approve ordering parts. Well the next day Ron called and said he has good news. I don't need a transmission at all. When I went to pick up the truck Ron gave me a read out of what the truck actually needs to have done. Transmission Ctr. and a recommendation from a different transmission shop; a competitor, that could not schedule me, I called ATC. They towed my car, free of charge. The car was fixed within 24 hours. The price quoted was near exact. It was/is a great thing to talk with people (Gary) that can explain the process , so that it is easunderstood. My daughter's 2008 Honda Pilot broke down on her way to work. I went to rescue her, and I immediately suspected the Pilot's transmission had gone out. The vehicle has 184,000+ miles. I had it towed home and immediately started calling transmission shops. After getting estimates from a few, I decided to have Advanced Transmission do the work. Their estimate was a bit higher than some of the others, but it was the only shop with which I felt comfortable. They agreed to pay for the towing to their shop. I met the tow truck driver at the shop, and I left the vehicle for Advanced to diagnose the issue. Imagine my delight when they called me later that afternoon to tell me the issue was not the transmission. Instead, the right CV axle had broken. A CV axle is a fraction of the cost of a new transmission. I asked John at Advanced if they could do the work . He said they could, and he gave a very reasonable estimate. They completed the work the next afternoon. The vehicle drives like new. I am extremely happy I chose Advanced. Other shops could have changed the CV axle, and charged me for a transmission. I appreciate John's honesty and his friendly demeanor. If I have any other drive train work, I'm taking the vehicle to Advanced Transmission. read more

Just as my 2013 Infiniti JX35 was nearing 200,000 miles, my transmission - the CVT type - began to "burp" every few days. When cruising at low speeds, the RPMs would rev up as if the CVT was stuck in low gear. Whenever that happened, I would pull over to a complete stop, turn my car off and on again, and then the CVT would operate normally. I would also get an occasional CEL with a P0776 code. After that began to happen more frequently, I decided it was time to visit some local transmission stops. When I showed up at ATC, Gary offered a free evaluation which his team was able to complete in the next hour or so. Of course I was hoping to hear that it was just a faulty solenoid or sensor, but when I returned to the shop, Gary explained their evaluation process in detail and stepped me through how his team arrived at the conclusion that the transmission itself was beginning to fail and that the only solution would be a full CVT replacement. ATC's advice helped me decide that my best course of action was to sell my car for cash which I did yesterday. Thanks Gary! Kev! read more

I dropped my car off for an assessment of the manual transmission. It definitely needed some work or a replacement. Advanced gave it a complete look over, and called me to let me know that they wanted me to see some other damage before moving forward on the transmission. They wanted to make sure I was OK to invest in a new transmission given the other work that was needed. I really appreciate the fact they didn't just replace the transmission without letting me know of other problems. I can't thank Matt and the crew at Advanced enough for their heroic efforts to help me out. I was driving through Denver with my kids and a dog on a road trip with 900 miles to go to get home when a dashboard indicator went off indicating transmission-related issue. I went to four other shops in search of assistance, none of which had time in their schedule, but several of those shops suggesting it sounded like a serious problem. Advanced Transmission was also fully booked, BUT they understood my predicament, with young kids back at a hotel room climbing the walls, and made time to help. They then diagnosed the problem as only a small sensor being out. And when they realized the part couldn't be obtained for four days, they went McGyver on the issue, creating a temporary fix so we could make the 900-mile drive home. On top of all of this, they suggested there was no charge for the analysis and temporary fix, though they eventually agreed I could buy them lunch. I can't thank them enough and only wish that I lived in Denver so I could go to them for any future transmission-related issues. Thank you, Advanced!!! read more

I was looking for a transmission repair shop, and specifically a preliminary quote. I looked at the shops around my area, and decided to send an inquiry email to this shop. Peter, who sent me a response could not provide me with an estimate. He stated that I would have to bring my vehicle to them for them to even think about giving me a quote. I responded that I was not currently driving the vehicle, and I simply wanted an estimate. He then tried to sucker me into paying for a tow to their shop. "The company we use gives us a flat rate of $60-$70." I am not an ASE certified mechanic, but have worked closely with the auto industry and repair shops for quite some time, and can correctly diagnose my transmission problem. I just needed a quote. In addition, the emails from peter were not well written, and some sentences did not make sense. I do not expect a legal-firm quality of communication, but would have appreciated more professional communication. Needless to say, I was a potential customer that this company did not and will not do work for. These practices are troublesome and inconvenient, not to mention trying to charge me for a tow. Look elsewhere for a reputable transmission repair shop. I recommend DRK Transmission in Conifer, and they do pick up vehicles in metro-denver if need be. Much better service, great quality, and a pleasure to do business with. read more

Peter who works at this location is a great example that excellent customer service still exists. We've had about a dozen phone conversations before i decided to drop off my range rover for a tranny rebuild, and every time Pete was available to answer all my questions. Needless to say, repair was done on time, range rover drives and shifts like new, warranty given is amazing. And yes, i called around 30 rebuild shops around Denver area and half of them didn't want to do a work on my car and other half quoted around 30% more cost. This was the first time I ever took my car to a shop and got it fixed for free with a bonus of good advice. My transmission was stuck between 4WD and 2WD. I thought it was shot and was braced for the $2k bad news. They unstuck it and gave me an appraisal of about how long it'd be before it likely would go out, as well as some other under-the-hood observations -- which were hopes, because they weren't in the market to do the repairs. No charge. Auto repair shops get a bad rap, and these guys deserve a very good one. read more

I wish I could give them 50 stars! I found out my car had a transmission problem at the worst possible timing. It was at the end of the year and my husband was away and I was about to have a long road to trip to move to another state. I'm an Asian woman who never drove a car till recently and I was always intimidated by any car-related places, even a car wash...so, I was horrified that I needed to handle this problem all by myself. Semi-panicking, I called Advanced Transmission Center at night, and Gary answered the phone and he was so kind that he totally melted away my fear. He offered a free diagnostic and he and his team did a really thorough check-up and gave me a very good explanation about what's going on with the transmission. Gary was so patient with me, he even spent some time talking to my husband on the phone, never rushed me nor being impatient. In the end, I decided to sell my car, rather than fixing it as my car was super old and I needed to move very soon...and he was still amazingly kind, even though he knew that I wouldn't be able to give him any business. He topped off the transmission fluid as a temporary solution and didn't even charge me for the labor...after spending such long and quality time for me and my car. Oh, and my car was driving so much better after they poured nearly 3 liters of fluid! Advanced Transmission Center is absolutely the best place if you ever find any problem with your car's transmission. They're honest, kind, professional and full of human compassion. I found this shop online. They had overall great reviews, so I choose them. Big mistake! Had my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser towed there to have the Trans rebuilt. After they rebuilt it, my Toyota broke down 4 times times after they supposedly repaired it. I was left sitting on the side of the road waiting for a tow. Every time it broke down, there was a different reason why it broke. I honestly don't think they had any idea what the problem was. I ended up trading the car in to the dealer. It was clear they couldn't fix it. My advise is to stay clear of this shop, I am a very dissatisfied customer. read more

I would never recommend this company nor would I ever use them. I took my truck to them to have them repair the transmission and it sat on there property for 4 wks before it was touched while sitting there it was broken into and my console was broken, all me personal stuff taken from inside and left in complete shambles. No one bothered to let me know or anything. When they finally got to my vehicle and returned to me, it was not drivable (mind you I drove it there) and had to have it towed home, rags were wrapping pieces and parts on the transmission that are now leaking and were not leaking prior to this, as well as leaking from the underneath leaving a puddle where ever it had been. It was returned to me in worse condition than when I brought it to them and was trusting them to fix this. I have tried contacting them and no one will return my calls or answer them. They estimated me to have this fixed for aprox. $2300, they charged me $2200 and it was NOT FIXED, and told me it would possibly cost an additional $1000-$1200 to fix it further for something that was not needing repair before I took it to them!! Do not use this company, I was told it took so long to get to it because they were fixing many other vehicles that they had already "fixed" but being returned for not correctly being repaired correctly in the first place. They did nothing but cause me more money and I got nothing but a bigger issue than what I originally took to them. I had to tow my vehicle home of which they did not bother to offer to help or ANYTHING!! No apologies, no further help absolutely nothing not even a call!! read more

There was no hassle, no fighting nothing, they fixed it, and sent me on my way. Don't let anyone else fool you, if you get your car fixed by them, the tow is free.
