The last time the truck was there they hit something with the truck (I'm guessing a rack) and wrinkled the front fender and broke a headlight. When confronted about the damage they denied doing it and would not fess up to any part of the damage. We know they had to be aware they did it because we could tell the headlight had been replaced and they left a chunk of the glass in the bed. I used to have a lot of respect for those guys and suggest them everywhere. but the diagnostic price plus quote of $2000+ was fricking absurd for what was actually going on. it was professionally fixed elsewhere for under $1000, correctly.

He and I took a quick ride and he had a good idea what the problem was. We returned to his shop and he got under the truck and started shaking the drive shaft around and said the truck should not be driven. He said repairs could be somewhere between $800. to $1,400. and it would take a day or two. My truck was not safe to drive. He then gave me a ride home about 4 miles away. I then received a call from the owner several days latter who told me he was able to adjust and tighten and lock a nut and the damage he expected was not present. He surprised a retired guy, on a fixed income with a bill of $116.00. I was so surprised and grateful that honest people like him still exist. Places like this are rare today. Took it in to a mechanic and learned the oil plug was loose and the oil filter was misaligned. My car had leaked 1.5 quarts of oil in less than 2 months. I would expect something as routine as an oil change to be completed without errors. Unfortunately I would not trust them with any further vehicle care. **Update in response to comment** There were signs of fluid leak early -- I have a drain in garage but also thought it was A/C condensation mixed with garage dirt and never investigated further until another person pointed it out to me. The dealership fixed the issue free of charge and I believe their assessment was valid. I do understand mistakes happen but this is my honest review -- I don't typically write reviews but will admit I was frustrated with the time wasted.

Upon taking it in, it was a routine check in/drop off procedure. They got back to me the same day, but here's where they won me over. My repair was fully covered under Jeep warranty, so taking it to the dealer would cost $0. Al, who advised me of my options said I could just go get it fixed free at the dealer (which he communicated to them before I went). The point is that these guys could have easily gone the "shady auto shop" route and charged me for something the warranty covered, but instead these guys were honest.
