I took my car there for a tire change and alignment, the tires came out good and the service was decent. However, the alignment was not done the greatest. Fast forward 4 months I came in with a flat tire to get repaired. Long story short they ended up losing my tire and sent my mom all over town on a wild goose chase. In the end, they found my tire sitting in their shop. Now fast forward 6 months I ended up getting a nail in my rear tire. I also noticed that the front right tire was already getting bald. So I took the whole car in and asked them to repair the tire with a nail in it and also to rotate the tires, and check the alignment. The lady said okay and I asked how much for the rotation which she then said its free. So after the tire was repaired I went to get it and noticed the tires were never rotated. Rather than going back in I decided to do the rotation on my own as it is not very difficult. Unfortunately, it was because the lugnuts on one of the tires were on there so tight an impact drill could not get it off so I used a breaker bar and a lead pipe. I was not able to get it. fast forward 3 months, The tire is bald on the outside meaning the alignment was never done. So I took the tire into the shop and asked for them to fix it. The guy there told me the warranty would not cover it because it was an alignment issue. I told him they had aligned it but he then told me it needs to be aligned twice a year. So on 11/05/22 the tires were installed and aligned then on 9/01/23 they were supposed to be aligned and rotated but weren't. I then gave him the tire and he gave me the quote and told me there would be a new tire on there when I came back later. I then went home and my mom called and explained to them how I should have had the tires aligned on 11/05/22 and aligned and rotated on 9/02/23. The lady then tries to say that I never asked her to do any of that back on 9/02/23. She told my mom that she was not there and basically called me a liar. My mom then asks her for her name and she then hangs up. Later that day my mom went back in to pick up the tire they were supposed to repair and nothing had been done to it. The guy told her he did not know if I wanted the tire to be changed or just inspected which makes no sense, I told him it needed to be changed. He also told me he would change it. read more

Had to have 4 new tires put on and wasn't expecting to pick it up until the next day. One of his appointments didn't show up and he was able to call me a hour later saying the car was ready to go! Very quick and affordable! He does great work and the team is very friendly! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE. I bought $1200 tires that lasted 4 months less than 8k miles. They dont honor warranty. Theyre so worn out that they wouldn't cover any part of their defective tires. Management is rude, dishonest company and employees. again go anywhere else you wont regret it. read more

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Quoted me at a great rate. It easily beat their competitors prices by A LOT. I highly recommend this Firestone location. read more

Called and was told that I didn't need to make an appointment. Came in 15 minutes later and the manager said that they wouldn't be able to get my car in. That's the reason why I called in the first place! To make an appointment/see if they had room for me and my girlfriends vehicles today! Have gone to this location for years, must be new horrible management like the other Firestone locations. Will not be back. read more

Took my daughter's car in for alignment. They had a printout showing how far off it was, and how they were able to correct it. I feel a lot better letting my daughter drive this car now. They did a great job an it drives like a new car. Thanks! read more

Had my two low beam lights changed here and one is already out, back here again and my car is sitting in the lot while 4 employees sit around chatting and eating mcdonalds. How long is your lunch break? A couple minutes it will take they say, like they did last time and I was here for over an hour for two light bulb really? Already been here 30 minutes and still my car sits. 2 hours and no update TWO hours com'on figure it out its head lights. I will never come back and I will tell people to stay away! I would love to call corporate and let them know how lazy their employees are! Labor is way to high for shitty service! read more

I called and made an appointment for an oil change with conventional oil. Check in, sign some form I would receive via email, and they took my car back for the oil change. No questions asked. An hour and a half later my car is done and I owe over $50 INCLUDING my "discount" for what I thought was a conventional oil change. When asked why it was so expensive I was told they used what was recommend for my type of car, synthetic blend. Not what my initial appointment was scheduled for. I was told I shouldn't use conventional after using synthetic blend in my car. I proceeded to let him know for the second time that my car has NEVER taken synthetic blend and now he is committing me to a more expensive oil change for the longevity of my car. I was told "maybe I should clarify" what I want when I come in. I let him know he should ASK what a customer wants without assuming. I am a woman who looks very young and it was eye opening to the "mechanic stigma" to be spoken to and taken advantage as such. That receipt that gets "emailed" to you as well? Yeah ask for that printed out. Two weeks later and I have yet to receive either the work order or my receipt. To top it all off, I called customer service immediately and was told the manager would be calling within 24 hours. It's been over 2 weeks and crickets... read more

These guys suck. I have never been here when it took less than 3 hours. Doesn't matter if it is an oil change, tire rotation or what. Today I had tires rotated and AC check. Three hours later after I called them twice they finally told me the tires were rotated but would need to bring car back for AC check . Yeah right read more

I used Firestone (near Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids) recently. This was my initial visit. They were friendly and tried to accommodate your time schedule by getting you in as quickly as possible. I will return. read more

I am due a oil change and stopped in and asked when there 1st available appointment was and was told they had two they were working on but would get me in within 45 minutes so I said I would wait. A hour and a half later they asked if I would like to schedule a appointment so I wouldn't have to wait. I pointed out I asked about a appointment to start with and was told 45 minutes which was why I waited and got a shrug and sorry. I wasn't amused and won't be returning. read more

They tried telling me I needed a new A/C compressor and quoted me over $1000. Naturally, I got a second opinion and as it turned out, the clutch just needed to be tightened. Their technicians are either liars, or incompetent. read more

I always have a great experience taking my vehicles here. They never recommend unnecessary services, like many other car places, and you can trust that they are telling you the truth about your vehicle. I'm very happy to have found this place to service my vehicles. I've even had employees walk out to the parking lot to check things quick for me (tires, brakes, run diagnostics on the computer) when I stopped in to ask them a question and didn't have an appointment. After taking my car to the dealership, where they try to sell me extra things I don't need every time, it's refreshing to take my car to honest people. read more

My husband made an online appointment to get his 2004 F250 serviced. They confirmed the appointment and when we arrived for the appointment the desk employee told us that they are behind schedule and it'll be 1 maybe 2 maybe 3 hours to get to his truck. We said "no biggie just give us a call when it's done". 4 hours later, we go back to the store and sit in their lobby to see what's going on because we hadn't gotten a call and it'd been 4 hours . The desk employee goes into the shop when we arrive and says "pull around the F250 they've been waiting for a few hours". THEY HADN'T EVEN PULLED THE TRUCK IN YET. The mechanic pulls the truck in and within 5 minutes of the truck being in the shop he comes back out and says "I don't feel comfortable with the weight of the truck on our lift system so we can't service your truck". WTF you couldn't have told us that 4 hours ago when we showed up with the truck or maybe on the website seen the truck information and canceled the appointment?! We saw 2 other trucks being serviced at that time that were similar sized compared to our truck. We won't be using FireStone again. read more

I have used this Firestone Twice now. First was with my 2004 Dodge Dakota, I had just bought it and it need a new value covers, tires, brakes, rotors and a caliber. When I took it to them I just was aware of value cover and tires. They had the truck overnight, for one night cause they were hearing a squeak. They discovered one of my calibers was stuck and fixed that without charging me labor. That was very nice of them. I have had the truck now for 3 months and running great. My second experience was with my 2009 Mercedes, I had to get new tires on a recent trip to Phoenix and I got them from Firestone. When I got home to Iowa I discovered a screw in my tire....I went to Firestone and he worked out the screw from tires and to my luck no replacement or plugs have been needed. I will use them again for sure. I am very impressed with how nice, flexible, understanding and quick to help. I will be coming back. read more

my bf and i took a day trip to cedar rapids (we're from illinois) when his car broke down. took it here to see if we could get it up and running but we got in right as they closed. we were told they would look first thing in the morning so we booked a room and stayed. get a call that it's the brakes and it would be $400. It would cost us $300 to tow home so we figured go for it. Get the brakes done after we wait 6 more hours, then we get a call. it's still making the noise, it's your differential (which only specialty shops fix) but here's your bill! We go in to see if they would work with us on the brakes since we didn't need them, the counter clerk said he didn't have the clearance for anything, called his service manager on his day off and the service manager said "i don't get paid to talk to them on my day off. they can come in tomorrow morning and i'll deal with it". problem is- we couldn't stay another day. after calling more stores and getting ahold of a district manager they gave us a free oil change. we tow the car home- it was the transmission that was making the noise. the tech had no idea what he was doing and cost us $400 on brakes we didn't need. firestone, tires plus and bridgestone will never again get my business. read more
