I hired Brakur for a remodel project on my new home. The cabinets were installed in summer of 2015. In 2019 I noticed the paint was peeling off the bathroom cabinets. I contacted Brakur and sent them pictures. They said it was water damage from steam in the shower. They will not fix or replace them unless I pay them. We have an exhaust fan in the bathroom that turns on with the light. Our bathroom gets typical use. I feel Bathroom cabinets should withstand typical bathroom steam and last longer than 4 years. My cabinets in my other house that is now a rental, have lasted 20 years and still look brand new. Shoddy cabinets made from a company that does not stand by the products they produce. I was referred to this place. I drove an hour from my home to get a quote because I called twice and the lady said I had to come in PERSON to discuss. I came with a picture and exact idea of what I wanted. The sales guy, Brian, was decent. He told me he would quote 2 designs. He even drew a sketch. Then he told me he's got about "30 other projects going on" so okay, you're super busy, but the kicker is that he NEVER got back to me after I emailed him dimensions. This was in October 2021. Then just for fun I figured I'd follow up in January 2022. No response from him AGAIN. I'll take my thousands elsewhere. We had an exceptional experience working with Brakur Custom Cabinetry as part of our kitchen remodel. We did a full gut kitchen remodel and one of the goals was to maximize our cabinet space. Our designer at Brakur (Andi) was extremely helpful throughout the entire project. She provided very creative ideas to maximize cabinet space while incorporating a variety of features such as a built-in cabinet door spice rack, knife drawer, etc. Andi was also very patient as we revised the cabinet layout a few times. The quality and craftsmanship of their cabinets is unmatched. Options such as soft close drawers and doors are standard with Brakur whereas these are considered 'upgrades' with other cabinet vendors. Their customer service was very helpful and responsive as two cabinets were damaged during the remodel by other contractors and Brakur promptly repaired and replaced the damaged cabinets at no additional cost. This is our second project with Brakur as we finished our basement 5 years ago and they provided all of the cabinets for that project as well. And the way they open and close (slow closing like the top of the line s550 Mercedes car door) is fabulous. Purchased cabinets 3 years ago, the sales person was wonderful, the cabinets were beautiful but within 1-2 years they started to show wear and today as I was cleaning them there is more wear around handles not including the trash cabinet which looks awful, A very nice service person came out to "touch up" with a marker that I could have bought myself at a big box store. So much money spent and the quality of the finish is not lasting more than a couple years. I went to their showroom choose the quality level and the cabinets turned out fabulous and one of the nicest I have ever seen About 9 years ago I purchased new cabinets from them. The sales person came to the house and I chose from samples. Even though I spent $18,000 I'm embarrassed to look at the poor quality of these cabinets. They are literally falling apart. Drawers and hinges coming apart. The poorest material imaginable. Wish I could get my hands on the salesperson as I believe I received a bait and switch. Total garbage product. I have four bathrooms and kitchen all Brakur cabinetry. I called to inquire on them fixing two drawers that were loose and misaligned. I was met with a I don't care attitude over the phone. Before I could even describe my situation I was told that it is $100 to come out (not applied to cost of the service) and the warranty is one year. I asked, so you don't want me to use you? The reply, please go to our website order the parts and fix yourself. I wish I would have had the opportunity to tell them I was to their website, ordered the parts and was unable to fix myself. I've seen this attitude with builders and contractors....we love you until the check is cashed. I do like the quality of the cabinets themselves but they need a lot of work dealing with folks who already wrote them a check. read more

We did a complete kitchen remodel with Brakur Custom Cabinetry. Our designer. Andi Cassem, was super easy to work with. We arrived in the showroom with an idea of what we didn't want and not completely sure of what we did want. Andi asked us about our lifestyle and suggested some ideas, discussed various options and gave us the opportunity to have the kitchen of our dreams. The whole process was smooth from choosing our cabinets and options, coordinating appliances, delivery dates and through installation. Brakur's installer, Ryan P., is amazing and a true craftsman. He made our beautiful Brakur cabinets even better with his precise trim work and attention to detail. The final result exceeded our expectations! We will be going to Brakur and working with Andi and Ryan again on future bathroom remodels. Customer Service after the sale is also top notch with Brakur. When our installation was complete, they sent someone out to align all our cabinets doors and address any concerns we might have had. We had none. The cabinets we ordered were constructed well in terms of the materials and hardware used. Unfortunately, one of the cabinets (master bathroom) was built different from the original drawing As a result, the middle cabinet of the vanity (above the vanity chair) was made so shallow that almost nothing can be placed in it - a comb fits, but not a brush, a toothbrush does not fit into it, only very small travel sizes of products will fit into it. All of items that had been stored in the original cabinet drawer could no longer fit into this new one, which measures half the depth. Unfortunately, Brakur did not notice this when they were making it, and we did not know this would be a problem until a very expensive limestone counter was installed onto it. In addition, the fake panels under the sinks take up 2/3's of the remaining space, so that, along with the shallow middle drawer, gives the unit a look over being out of proportion. I have asked them numerous times to come back and rebuild that section of the cabinet. Someone from the company even came out to look at it and said that it was possible to correct the problem. I have sent emails, telephone messages, and have talked on the phone to at least three different people including the original salesperson, design department, and the customer service manager. (My last phone call was not even returned.) One year later, the problem still remains. Needless to say, I am very disappointed that the cabinet was not built according to the drawings that were shown to me by the salesperson who wrote up the order. What makes it even worse, when I decided to purchase a new cabinet for this bathroom, I was hoping to get more space than I had in the previous one that was removed. Unfortunately after measuring this new one, taking into account the fake panels under the sinks and this shallow middle drawer, I now have less than 2/3 of the original space I had in the old one. Would I recommend this company to other neighbors? At this point, I'd have to say no, and I live in a sub-development in south Wheaton of 250+ homes built during the last 20 years ago - many of which are ready to be remodeled. I have already had three neighbors ask to see my remodel, and I have been hesitant to send them to Brakur because of my experience. As a single customer who went directly to them, I feel that I just don't matter to them and that they're hoping that given time, I'll give up trying to get this resolve and just go away. There are lots of companies out there who can build a quality product. Find one that is willing and able to correct mistakes or alterations that were made from the original design that was promised to you and that you paid for in good faith. read more

I returned to Brakur after we purchased a mantle from them. John Falconio helped us redesign our existing disaster of a kitchen and we now have a fully functioning kitchen. The cabinets were installed this week and the quality is amazing. The cabinets are ALL WOOD! I used Mike again for the install and probably the best installer around. He truly takes pride in his work. John took the time with us and came to our house several times to make sure everything was perfect. For the quality I purchased their prices are outstanding. It looks like we paid $50,000 for these custom cabinets, but we didn't. I told Brakur I would open my doors to anyone wanting to see their work! We just finished a remodel of our entire kitchen and our contractor suggested Brakur. We started the process with Andi and we couldn't be happier with the service and the product.. Though I worked with Andi for other decorating in my home, she was great when it came to our kitchen. We told her what we wanted and she made great suggestions that we liked even better.
