The station helps add to the character of the immediate surrounding area of heritage of the unique (albeit small) city centre. It has GO train service, and recently they've added all-day, 2-way service on weekdays during business hours which is great. The GO bus terminal is right beside with several routes offered. The train station serves as a VIA rail station and you can get to places like Montreal from this station. Tip: Closer to the bus station is The Village Bake Shop, which is a great place to get coffee, baked goods and such. You'd need to set aside a few extra minutes to go on a run there if you were getting on the train however. One frustrating thing, and for all GO stations for that matter, are the ridiculously slow ticket machines. There's a stress that cannot be compared to anything else when you hear the train rolling in and the machine takes half a minute just to bring up 'Union' station on the search. Practically a couple minutes just to get your ticket.

I use this station fairly often, as it has good direct connections to downtown Toronto. You can get…read moreregular buses to Union Station, Yorkdale, and York Mills among other places, and the train service is both ways on weekdays, shuttling you quickly and smoothly into the big city. Looking forward to it being evenings and weekends if that cargo bypass ever gets built! Anyhow -- the station is well organized and has elevators for those who aren't able to use stairs, and ample signage so commuters don't get lost. I recommend using your Presto card instead of the ticket machines if you are able, because the machines are super clunky. That's everybody though, not just this station. There's lots of free surface parking if you need it, but Brampton transit has many buses that go to Brampton Bus Terminal/Brampton GO so you can ditch the car entirely if you want! The area has a lot of good shops around it, but there are a few dodgy bits, so keep aware of your surroundings.

Lakeshore is under maintainence this weekend (and Milton still doesn't travel into town in…read moreweekends) so we're grabbing a train into Toronto via Bramalea. Nice station, although a waiting room would be nice. And a washroom. The food truck is cute too.

As a new user of the GO Train, I needed detailed information regarding Presto use, buying a ticket,…read moretrains, etc. I was told by a phone rep that the Bramalea GO station was staffed from 5:20 am to 8:10 pm. I arrived at 7:30 pm fully expecting to see a live person in attendance to assist me. However, I did not see a person, nor a staffed ticket booth. That was very, very disappointing. A bus driver told me that there should be a person with a reflective vest walking around to offer assistance. He didn't see anyone. I walked in circles for about 20 minutes. There was absolutely NO GO employee with a reflective vest anywhere, neither inside, nor outside! A kind caretaker showed me how to use the Presto machine, where to look for the Platform notice on the television monitor, and how to get to the train. He should be commended! Without his kindness, I would have just left! Then, as I was still thanking the caretaker, we saw two GO staff persons, a man and a woman, wearing reflective vests. They were in a corner, facing one another, chatting!!! They were not walking around. They were not even looking around to see if anyone needed their assistance. Disgusting. Supposedly, the woman had just returned from her break, right before it was the end of their shift at 8:10 pm! Really?! As I kept repeating that it had been quite some time that I had been looking out for someone in a reflective vest, the man began making an excuse that he had taken people to the university stop. This made no sense whatsoever. Regardless, I did NOT see either of them for at least 30 minutes! The bus driver and the caretaker also had not seen them. I had also asked numerous persons in the station and they had not seen any workers anywhere. These two GO individuals needs to be spoken to about being conscientious in doing their job. Standing around chatting with one another, wasting time until their shifts end, is absolutely NOT acceptable!

Saw this post on Facebook…read more Hi everyone! Just want to share my wedding day experience with Toronto Limo Rentals Inc. so that hopefully no one makes the same mistake as us! We've been in wedding parties who have used their services, and being familiar with their buses we decided to use them for our wedding. We ordered a 32 person bus to accommodate our big group. On our way to Church, our bus stopped on the side of the road. With many people pulling over to help, we got back on the road, which didn't last long as the bus AGAIN broke down. After a while, we were told to get off the bus and walk. Yep, WALK. Down a busy intersection in my wedding dress! Thankfully we had wedding-goers behind us and my husband and I were able to climb into the back of a car. Many of our remaining bridal party had to walk, or have people come from church to collect them. After the ceremony, we were pleased to find that there was a new bus waiting for us ... but this bus maxed out with 20 people, and had a stripper pole in the middle, because what else would you want for your wedding day? And the ceiling dripping all over my wedding dress! When all was said and done, we didn't have enough room to accommodate our bridal party and many had to organize rides to pictures since they didn't have their cars, assuming they'd be on the bus. We were late for church, had 20 minutes to take pictures (we were schedule to have 1.5hrs) and then were even late to our own reception. I get mistakes happen and stuff is out of control at times, but the customer service is what baffled me. When I initially contacted them after the wedding, their response was that "the first bus they sent us was technically an upgrade"... as if that bus didn't break down. And then when I told them about the second bus being insufficient, they said that the bus could've fit 35 people when we barely squeezed in 20. Even sent pics to prove it. Overall appalled at the customer service, especially when this was one of the biggest days of our lives.
