It feels luxurious because you can always find a seat. However, they're only available at 7:19am and 7:49am. This station is much busier than it used to be in the past. Parking is full by 7:30am. GO Transit has also introduced reserved parking spots for close to $100/mo. There are still plenty of free parking spots available, but GO will keep adding reserved spots as more people request them. The number of free parking spots will only diminish. Illegal parking in the parking lot is not worth it, as I hear that tickets are close to the same price as a reserved parking spot. Parking in residential areas is also not recommended due to bylaws. From what I hear from a co-worker who takes the train from Maple station, the Maple parking lot is almost all reserved parking. The station has free wifi now. They always show CP24 news on the TV, which is a great distraction while waiting for the train to arrive. I also enjoy the humor of the customer service reps on the train. "Tracks are for trains. If you're not a train, you shouldn't be on the track." "Thank you for choo-choo-choosing GO."

Commute to downtown Toronto by GO Train. There is free parking, which is nice considering the…read moreticket is a little expensive. But, the train is reliable and there is only one stop from here to Union Station. It's also clean and has nice seats. During non-peak hours, it changes to coach bus service. Takes ~45 minutes to here from Union compared to ~30 minutes by train. You can buy your tickets here from a teller during peak times or anytime from the machine.

Since the opening of this station and the York University subway station, buses are no longer allowed on campus. Buses stop right here instead and students have to take the subway to campus. That's an extra 3.25 per commute just for 2 stops. You might be thinking "sounds like a YorkU problem!" But let's keep it real here it was probably mutual. On the bright side the campus is no longer crowded with buses and line-ups. Though the commute is a hassle now for GO riders.

After ten years this station finally opened in December of 2017. this station has to be the most…read morevisually impressive of all the new stations, not for nothing but the dual stained glass portions of this station, mixed in with the concrete all around makes this station a sure stand out from all of the other ones. the main/large piece of art was installed with the idea that it would bring natural light down to the platform, which it does effortlessly. this station has a good sized private parking lot which you will have to start to pay for from march forward. this station services ttc buses, york buses, and go transit buses. i would consider this station to be strictly a drive to station, given the close proximity of the highway 407, and hwy 400 via steeles or jane. one of my new favorites just for the artwork alone, and the pictures do not do justice to how breathtaking it truly is

I think it is quite disturbing that they are just sitting there sprawled out all over that entrance or in the shelters and lighting up and smoking. If they require help then the city should do something and fix that problem. The amount of homeless people at the station is increasing day by day. Also I would like to point out the waiting area for the GO bus, the kiosk/convenience store owners need to practice some courtesy, they are always on the phone gabbing away so loudly. There is also the NASCAR Speed park located here, Which I haven't been too. I think Vaughan Mills has a little bit of everything here and I come here once in while, when I'm in the area.

Finch station is usually decently clean, with underground paths leading to bus terminals and passenger pickups. The underground paths have a couple of Tim Hortons so you can grab your drink and go (no seating area). The passenger pickup area is also quite nice. There are a few benches that you can sit on while you wait, and a spacious lot outside for your pickup driver to park while waiting.

These days, I visit the passenger pickup-drop-off area to pick up and drop off friends. For four years, I commuted to both York University's main and Glendon campuses through Finch station. It was easier to get a seat if I simply took the 53 and 60 buses to and from this station, rather than getting off at Yonge and Steeles, and feeling like a sardine in any bus that had room for me. Going home from Glendon, I'd take either the 124 or 162 bus to Lawrence station, and then take it northbound to Finch. Sure, there were times where the 53 Steeles East buses, both regular and express, were running late and were packed at Finch station. I waited for a while on the platform for a free bus, but it always took me home, no matter how rough the day felt. One time, I had left my wallet on the subway. It was highly unusual for me. It was pink. My heart sank. I was at Finch and decided to go back to Lawrence to see if I could find it. Nothing. I reported it being lost with a TTC employee at Lawrence. He contacted someone at Finch station and said that my wallet was there. I was relieved! I was a broke student that I'm sure no one wanted my plastic-looking wallet with practically nothing in it. Anyway, Finch station has a special place in my heart thanks to an honest person returning my wallet and my being able to fetch it there. Finch station has public washrooms. I had to use it once and it was decent. I do like the passenger pickup-drop-off (so glad that the name changed from kiss-and-ride) area. I never have a problem parking, waiting for my friend to arrive, or dropping said friend off here. I'm in. I'm out. There's a set of traffic lights that makes turning easy. I'm happy! I have parked here a couple of times on weekends. It's free. It helps when I don't feel like paying for parking downtown and I know that I'm not buying a lot of stuff while down there. I did it another time to see a concert. Although convenient to take the subway down to Scotiabank Arena, it makes for a long commute for me heading home. I'd rather take my car. I do like this station, which is the last top on on the Yonge portion of the Yonge-University subway line. It was nice to recently pass by and reminisce. (361)

It's quite difficult trying to find a parking spot on a weekday morning if you're taking a train…read moreafter 7:45 am. This is even with a 5 level parking garage that was newly built a few years ago. However, on a weekend there are no problems finding a spot to park. With more trains running starting at the end of the year the commute downtown is all the more convenient. I'd much rather pay $8.26, on the Presto card, than have to be stuck on the Viva and then TTC trying to get downtown. Edit: I forgot to mention that the bus drivers are some of the friendliest around. One even had a string of Christmas lights on his side of the windshield.

Requirements for a proper station by Translink:…read more - advertise wifi but ensure it NEVER works (cool cool) - have the MINIMUM amount of fare stations possible, the more bottlenecks the better (yasss Translink, save that money) - make sure that shelter heaters DON'T WORK in the winter (the best) All in all, just another shitty station. Oh and heads up, don't even think about getting wifi at the Go Bus station at Union either. Even the attendants think it's a joke when you ask.

Stops are clearly marked on the streets and clearly announced in the car. Easy to pay with iPhone or Apple Watch. The routes cover the central city very well. Too many able-bodied young mothers with their children, men and women hogging the "priority seats"…read morethat are meant for elderly, disabled and pregnant passengers. They do not offer up their "priority seats" and ignore those in need of it. Since when did children and functioning adults have first choice over the "priority seats" versus the elderly, disabled and pregnant women? This is absolutely reprehensible. I wish the TTC would be adamant that "priority seats" should remain vacant for whom it is designed--eliminate having to beg these able-bodied mothers, children, and adults to vacate. The entitled attitude of such mothers and families is out of control.
