Andy Brown is a beautiful space, from the pond to the open fields, the sidewalk/bike path, multiple large pavilions, and fun playground. There are large, mature trees surrounding the park. We parked in the wrong lot and had to walk alongside the gym in order to get to the playground and I couldn't believe how beautiful the pathways were with all the trees and the small creek running alongside. Not what I expected from a city park! The playground itself ("Kid Country") is almost fully enclosed and is a sprawling assortment of things to climb up, swing on, and slide down. There is a play area in the toddler section with storefronts to spark pretend play. The ground is bark. There are large trees in the center of the play area that provide shade and make the play structure look more natural than your typical playground. Almost like a tree house. There are benches scattered throughout the play area and a large covered pavilion with multiple picnic tables underneath. The city of Coppell provides free WiFi there and there were multiple moms with laptops out, working, while their kids played. The only big negative is the distance from the playground to the bathroom. I understand that they probably built the bathrooms more toward the center of the park, but the wise choice would have been to also put an additional small restroom right next to the playground. It's too far of a walk for me to feel comfortable sending my younger kids over there alone and it's kind of a bummer to have to wrangle together the entire group every time one kid has to pee. Otherwise, a fabulous park. LOVE IT. Hats off to you, Coppell!

The walking path is easy and peaceful, making it enjoyable for everyone, including those who brought their fur babies. There's something so relaxing about wandering through the lights with an audiobook in your ears, it truly feels like stepping into the pages of a story. Vitruvian Park is beautiful any time of year, but during the holidays it's absolutely enchanting. If you're looking for a festive evening stroll, this is one of my favorite spots in DFW.

This course makes good use of The limited elevation that they have. The challenge of the course comes in if you play it straight up (on/in and beyond creeks and sidewalks is o.b.). All in all it's a good place to get in a quick round.

VERY expansive network of trails with lots of water features (ponds, creeks) and options. Lots of…read moreducks, geese, and bird life in general. Often a red tailed hawk to be seen, and always egrets and herons. You can get in a lot of miles if you want to, and there are several different ways to do it - different forks in the path and lots of ways to vary it up on different days. Walker and biker friendly (although 100% paved). Bikers, please be courteous and alert walkers when you're coming up behind them ("On your left" is standard). Our family has done some of these trails too many times to count. Some people have pointed out that it's flat. It is mostly flat, unless you head towards the big hill next to the frisbee golf portion of the trail. But it's still an excellent network of trails that covers a LOT of territory. You could take the trails far enough north that you head to West Plano, I think. And they keep expanding south as well. I really have to credit Carrollton with doing a great job with these trails over the years. (We lived in Carrollton for 9 years and I miss being walking distance to the greenbelt.) Last note - I'm not a frisbee golfer. We've solely used the trails, not the disc golf course. (Some people have only focused on the disc course, whereas the entire greenbelt has MUCH more than that - as previously mentioned.)

There is a fountain in the middle of a pond that is quite relaxing to listen to. The area is a nice and safe area so you don't have to worry about this either. It's located behind the shops at Legacy and the Marriott. It seems like a nice place to come to after you shop or eat at the shops. The ambience is relaxing and there is plenty of parking in the area, too. I love how clean it is and the water doesn't smell or anything. This place is well kept and you can tell. I can't wait to have date night here when this pandemic is over!

It was until i got a herniated dish and couldn't walk too far that i decided to check this place out. HOLY COW. This place is the most serene, quiet, calm, clean mini park i have seen. There usually only one it two other people here when i go, and it's like having the park all to myself. It's so tiny, so as you are walking you can see the entire park in a circle. This really helped me mentally when i herniated my disk, so now i come here when I'm stressed and need a mental break! I love this kil secret park.

My husband and I came here for a weekend trek, and it's easily one of the best outdoor spots in North Texas. What I love most is the versatility. Whether you're looking for a smooth, paved stroll or want to get your boots a little dusty on the dirt hiking trails, they've got you covered. It's a great mix of elevation and flat stretches. It's a great spot for everyone. Pets are welcome (on leashes!), and there is a fantastic playground near the parking lot--perfect for kiddos who still have energy to burn after a hike. You'll see a beautiful variety of plants and likely some local wildlife. Just a heads-up: they do have warning signs posted for snakes and poison ivy, so definitely keep an eye on your surroundings while you explore. The parking lot is huge, but this place is popular! We arrived around 1:00 PM and it was nearly at capacity. We were lucky to snag a stall, but I'd definitely recommend arriving earlier in the morning if you want to avoid the parking hunt.

Arbor Hills is a place near and dear to my heart. This is one of the best places to get away from…read morethe crowded areas and just enjoy nature. The entrance area is always crowded so people don't get to see how amazing this place is. It's incredible because once you go off trail, you can see for miles to around and the sunset views are phenomenal. There are plenty of shortcuts around this area if you just want to do a quick loop to the observation tower and back to the main entrance. I took my old dog out here years ago and went off trail to isolated areas. I hope other dog owners get to see how happy she is and how much joy dogs get from being in this place. It's fairly common to see people taking family photos here but again, I truly recommend walking in off trail areas for 10 minutes to get spectacular photos.

It was really refreshing to see, and for the most part, people there were also taking care of the park during its use as well. There are so many different areas, things to do, and experiences for kids to venture within the space. More of these everywhere!!
