I want to share here why we are SO HAPPY that we chose to use Branch Out Tree Care! For many years, we've had a problematical palm tree in our backyard, a Phoenix canariensis that was planted by the original owner too closely to the house. It had grown to the point where it was a serious issue to our home's foundation and to the power lines overhead. We met with Sal Sanchez from Branch Out Tree Care. Sal told us he had an experienced crew to do the complex job and he was absolutely right! Because of the size of the tree (approximately 50' x 5') and its location (wedged behind a two-story house and the neighboring property), there was no way to access it by crane. It had to be done by hand, carefully and in pieces, so as not to injure the workers or damage our house, the house next door, the power lines, or the patio below. Forrest and his wonderful crew worked steadily for 2 and a half days, carefully removing the palm in chunks and carrying the heavy pieces out to their truck at the street while taking great care to do so safely and thoughtfully. They did a wonderful job and when they finished, they cleaned everything up! We remain so impressed with their ability, courtesy, great attitude, and focus. This is the loudest tree service ever, all their guys bellow and yell on the roof and down below over the loud saws, chippers, obnoxiously loud equipment. They've been screaming and making noise all day and the neighbors are all upset with them. Would never hire again for any job. They are dropping huge tree trunk sections , trucks parked everywhere, workmen loudly talking on cell phones, disturbingly loud. Not a good value for the money. Be very careful--I got a bid and signed a contract to remove a 60 ft tree, 2 days before start of the work, Chris called and said "I am not doing the job" he said he doesn't have the equipment for that big a job. I now realize (as the person I hired has was less equipment than he does) he way underbid the job, and did not want to follow through with the contract we signed. Sadly, my insurance company agreed to pay his bid so now I am left paying $6K out of my pocket. Just know that a contract means nothing with this company read more

Our neighbors were using Branch Out last week, so I walked over and talked to the gentleman working. He had their estimator reach out to me and set an appointment to come by. Sal came by and gave me a great/fair price to trim up our Japanese Maple. Shortly after he called me and let me know they had availability that afternoon! He and his team came by and were so friendly, fast, and efficient - they even gave me some cool tidbits about my surrounding trees! They cleared all the branches, raked up my yard of fallen debris, and used the blower down my driveway to get rid of any leaves left behind. Got an estimate to take out a large yucca, and they said that they were about 2 weeks out. Crew showed up without calling ahead. I wasn't home while they did the work, and came home to huge mess, with yucca blown all over my deck, outdoor furniture, and surrounding plants. Had to hose down the deck to clean it off so that I wouldn't track into the house. Stump grinding was done unevenly. They came back quickly the next week to right the job and mess, but overall a disappointing experience. read more

I could not have been more satisfied with the service that Branch Out provided for me and my trees. I called for an estimate and Sal was out the next day, he took time to understand what I needed, as well as took into consideration the requests of my neighbor (we have a tree bordering our properties) The estimate was sent the same day that he came out. I was able to request service the next week (and we were in the middle of the holiday season-as well as all of the other setbacks experienced during these times) The tree trimmers arrived exactly on time, were extremely courteous, and cut the trees to my wishes. We hired them to do some simple trimming, shaping and clean up of an oak tree and three other small trees. Total hack job and a very poor effort on the oak tree. I had to get my chain saw and finish the job. Even worse was the fact that my wife called to let them know and ask them to fix it. They never returned her calls. Will never use them again and won't recommend them to anyone! Already told the neighbor across the street not to use them and they had a large project. read more

Branch Out removed 4 large trees from our property, including an ash that was already 40 ft high, 3 ft diameter, and growing like crazy. There were also branches hanging over our deck, which they safely removed. They were reasonably priced, professional, some of the most friendly working crew I've interacted with in any profession, efficient, cut up the wood for me to split (they would have hauled it away normally), and cleaned up nicely at the end. After a week or week and a half, I called the office number and left another message. Nothing. I can find no excuse for that, especially for a returning client. They lost my business. read more

I used this company because I was told that my plants and shrubs would NOT be destroyed or damaged, and everything would be cleaned up!!!! What a joke!!!!! They ran a blower through the middle and that was it. I spent days cleaning the incredible mess they left, along with sawdust covering everything!!!! I lost several plants and many others were crushed! I had to use my own blower to get to the front door! I called the man I dealt with and was not called back! I wanted a refund for the clean up I had to do, but received nothing!!! It was devastating!!!!!! read more

"We take care of you like one of the family. We guarantee our work", to quote the add on TV. I did not find this to be true. I had considerable work done ($4,500). They did a beautiful job trimming several trees, but on the invoice it was listed to leave firewood from oak tree. None was left. I was told I must pay in full that day before any wood had be returned. The following day at my request they came back to do some cleaning up. I have sent three Emails to Chris requesting wood, but no reply, let alone receiving the wood as promised. This is very impolite to not at least reply. The work was done on May 28. I had seen their ads on local TV and heard good things about them .after I was told how much the guy has to pay every day to pull out his trucks from their yard I kind of felt like he was telling me my small job might not be worth their time .after he came by my house and gave me an absolutely outrageously high bid to trim to 2 olive trees literally 5 feet from the street. I'm pretty sure that was the case. As a local business owner I know the easiest way to get out of doing a job you don't want is to give them such an outrageously high price they won't want you to do it .well done branch out tree service ! We had Branch Out Tree Service back again yesterday to take down a really large, tall leaning oak tree that could have fallen on the house. On Wednesday they took a look. 8Am Friday they were here, by 2 PM that huge tree was down. They saved me the wood per my request, nicely piled. Watching Chris high up in the tree with his saw, as he and his crew carefully rope each section of limb down to the ground, in our case avoiding the lemon tree and the vegetable garden, is really something. These guys are great at what they do. When they did tree trimming for us, it looked nice, not chopped looking. More light, and healthy. They get my highest recommendation. read more

Our trees definitely look better after being trimmed by Branch Out Tree Care. Wish I could say the same for the landscape around and near the trees. Branches were just dropped on top of many flowering plants (sage, lavender, hibiscus) causing quite a bit of damage and broken branches. Be sure if you do use them to get your bid in writing and as detailed as possible. I recently used them and they didn't deliver on what they promised. Being the tree experts as they advertise I would have thought they would have told me when they gave me the bid what they would be able to do or not. I paid them promptly and called about the work that wasn't done. I was promised a call back that never happened. I received no refund for the work they didn't do which I feel was not appropriate since they state they guarantee their work. The work they did do was good as they left things cleaned up however I won't use them again. read more
