Let me start off by saying I've been a loyal patient of Dr. D'Janbatian for the past 13 years. Even though the ladies at the front desk have always been rude and dismissive, I've gone back for the doctor. My last visit was a completely different story. The first issue arose out of my apparent "lack of insurance coverage." After a constant back and back dispute with the front desk, who claimed I had additional co-pay (despite the fact that my insurance company REPEATEDLY told me I was fully covered), I decided to just pay for the services myself and dispute the coverage later. Long story short, I only ended up getting a portion of my money back, but that isn't why I'm upset. My visit with Dr. D'Janbatian lasted all of five minutes. I had been seeing a different optometrist under insurance coverage I had with my university, and I told Dr. D'Janbatian the prescription I currently had, including the brand of contact lenses I was buying. He determined that my prescription had stayed the same and there were no changes necessary. OK fine I thought. Yet, I was a bit concerned since the university optometrist had told me I had astigmatism (a fact Dr. D'Janbatian failed to mention until I brought it up). Fast forward a few months later, and I have had to see another optometrist who has, in fact, determined my prescription is not the same at all. I find it highly improbable that my eyesight significantly diminished within a few months. So, not only did Dr. D'Janbatian charge my insurance company, collect the so-called "co-pay" I owed, but now I have had to spend additional out-of-pocket money to get a correct prescription. It has become evident that the motivation for monetary gains has completely overshadowed patient care for this facility. After 13 years, I will not return. read more

I did not have a good experience at Brand optometry at all. The doctor Janbatian would not let me talk and listen to my concerns. I'm not even sure what he prescribed me. He seemed like he didn't care he just wants that money. If my prescription is not correct since he rushed through my exam I will file a complaint with my insurance company. Also the assistant who was checking my eyes did not walk me through the exam. I do not even know what kind of drops she put in my eyes but I am still seeing blurred vision. They also did not have enough selection of glasses. They gave me the cheapest brand and told me that its all my insurance covers and mind you my insurance is really good. Not going there again. I will find a good optometrist who listens and explains things well and who has a calm demeanor. Not worth my trip. Also there is a mean lady I think her name is Hilda and she's a mean manager. I think its his wife. She will talk over you and not let you say a word. No manners. read more

I'm only giving it 4 stars just bec of 1 employee named May. If not, i will give them 5 stars. I felt discrimination from her as if I dnt have money bec I was just wearing a t-shirt & jeans. Okay I may look poor but still I'm a customer! And I did get an expensive branded frame! Just ask help from the other staff to avoid that unpleasant experience. (How would you know? May looks like Kim Kardashian & as b***h as her! I'm guessing same ethnicity also. Easy to spot bec she never smiles!) Just to be safe, seek help from the guys or older ladies. I'm rating Brand Optometry 5 stars because of Dr. Bruce Hornstein. He's been my optometrist for several years now and I used to see him at his previous work place and will follow him to wherever he goes!!! Dr. Hornstein is honestly one of the greatest optometrists I have ever visited. His exams are very detailed and not rushed, and he MAKES SURE you are comfortable with his prescription. You can really tell that he loves what he does and genuinely cares about each and every one of his patients. I've read both excellent and bad reviews for Brand Optometry, and while I don't discount the opinions of those who weren't too happy with the service, I must say things have improved tremendously since my first visit 2 years ago. I got some glasses a few months back and I have never gotten so many compliments on them! They have great frames and the staff is very personable. I was greeted at the door when I came in. One of the best experiences with a doctor I have had. Dr. Hornstein was knowledgeable and professional. I would certainly refer others to the practice. The diagnostic and testing equipment is state of the art. They truly give you a thorough exam, even take images of your optic nerve. I would definitely recommend Brand Optometry. It's in a good location (right across the street from a Porto's so that you can get your cheese roll fix after your appointment), the office is nice, and, most importantly, everyone on the staff is amazing. Ivon, Elvira, Vartan, and the rest of the staff really know how to make you feel like family. You can tell that helping anyone who walks in their door is their first priority, especially with how patient and helpful everyone is. I had a fantastic experience at Brand Optometry, whose staff and doctors are so kind, welcoming, knowledgeable and caring about their patients' needs. I needed an exam and new glasses, and also was having issues with redness in both eyes. Dr. Torossian diagnosed the issue (dehydration), gave me a regimen to follow, and also adjusted my contact lens and eyeglass prescriptions for my needs. My loyalty to the staff at Brand Optometry spans many years. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. The quality of service is top notch and they care about the health of my eyes. Dr. Djanbatian is very knowledgeable. He was the first optometrist to introduce me to progressive eye glasses that gradually moved from reading to distance in the same lense. And his prescriptions have always been spot on. When I got insurance, I forgot to tell the office and I paid the bill. Months later I realized that I had the insurance. The office manager was very nice about it. She reworked all the paperwork and refunded me my money. Now that's what I call cheerful service! This place has AMAZING customer service! They were very friendly and patient with me as I picked a pair of glasses, and were more than accommodating when once I actually received the glasses, I realized they didn't match me as much. After that whole process, instead of being annoyed that I wanted to switch it out, they were more than happy to accommodate me and help me find another pair I liked, saying they just want me to be happy with my pair so if it means swapping it out, then so be it. Luckily I had not worn them and they were still in perfect condition, but still, they were so polite and quick to help me in any way possible. THIS is why we have to keep supporting small businesses-- they go the extra mile that some other big chains just don't do. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and told myself I need to write a review when it was all over. Now I have the perfect pair of eyeglasses, and nothing but great things to say about this place, the optometrist that helped me out was so sweet, and the gentleman who was patient with me as I picked a pair was so kind. I usually hate going to the eye doctor, but I just came back from a contact fitting and examination, and I couldn't be happier. All the assistants are very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable (they made that puff-of-air test somewhat bearable). And for the examination and fitting, Dr Ida was so sweet and friendly! She really knows her stuff- she was sure to explain everything and was very pleasant to talk to. Great visit! I definitely recommend dr Djanbatian. I have been coming here for about 3-4 years for regular yearly eye exams and for contact lens evaluations. He is very nice and patient and respectful to his patients. The staff has always been nice as well. The lenses/ glasses usually have never taken more than a week to arrive, so that has been nice. They also have a free 2 hour parking with validation on Lexington dr. He is definitely one of the best optometrists I have had, and I have gone to many of them in the past 15 years. read more

Dr. Djanbatian is fantastic, he obviously has a love for what he does. He explains everything and makes you feel extremely comfortable. The rest of the personal is very friendly as well. This was my first eye in years and it was very thorough, they even give the option of a back of the eye exam. My only complaint is how long I was there for. From the time I got there to when I finished paying it took 80 minutes. Extremely excessive for a routine eye exam. Even with this downside I would still highly recommend them. read more
