Horrible customer service, completely DO NOT know how work with insurances. The biller doesn't know where and how to send the claims. They sent me a bill over $1000.00 stating that my insurance doesn't cover anything. I called my insurance - there was NO claim from them. I've called and requested copy Of the denials from my insurance, no one sent me anything. The manager never listens to what you have to say. I've picked up couple of pairs of glasses for my daughter from them, and always paid for it. They didn't show any payments posted to my account. Finally, sent them a letter of my disappointment about their services,along with all Proof of payments, no one had called me back to clear the situation. Let me tell you - this place is one of the best places i ever been to have my eye exam and contact lens prescription. Whole experience was smooth and pleasant. From giving me an appointment over the phone in such polite manner to front desk paper processing, to optometrist assistant to the doctor itself, everything so professional. And my biggest thanks to Dr Bruce Hornstein, who is very caring, attentive, knowledgeable. I felt in such good hands. I had some history of eye problems and he spent time go over it and assessed current situation throughout, and it wasnt like 15 -20 min rushed eye exam I had at another provider. This time i had a real one!! I felt safe and got the best medical attention/ examination. Next step i go to check frames, they have a big selection i just didnt have time to try on anything. I've been coming to brand optometry since I was 12 years old... they taught me how to wear contacts and improved my vision. I see Dr Djanbatian and he's honestly the best. I had to change them at some point because of insurance reasons and no one compares he gets your vision to be 20/20. Also thank you for doubting how long I waited because I'm sure you were there to witness it. As a business owner, that's not what you want to say to a customer. Another irony. And the greatest irony is that you have an employee named "Aimee" who's birthday is the same day and who has the same husband who sent flowers to her. Wow, maybe you can also sell me a time share in Boca Raton! Let's get our facts straight. As for my friend's birthday gift, firstly, I was informed your employee's name wasn't Amy or Aimee but Armineh (which I'm sure that's what is on her drivers license - not an exact name match, is it?). She did NOT have the same birthday. Nor did she have a husband or boyfriend by the same name as my friend's husband. Secondly, the flowershop would have had to eat the costs. Thirdly, there was no apology even if your employee wasn't intelligent enough to assume it was not for her. Instead of using common sense, she stole the flowers. If you took something that didn't belong to you, I believe that's called thief! An eye exam is an eye exam to be sure. Ida was perfectly peachy as a doctor. However, I will never be coming back to this place. The customer service is beyond appalling. I made my appointment and had my exam and picked out the frames that I'd like. I explained that I would be traveling to Asia for a work research trip in 12 days. My prescription isn't complicated and with the assurances of all involved I would have my glasses in no more than 10 days. I cannot emphasize enough that I literally called this place EVERY DAY after day five to make sure that my glasses were progressing and that they would be here in time for me to actually SEE the landscape on my research trip. EVERY. DAY. And every day I was assured that they would be here on time and not to worry. As you can imagine my glasses were not ready for my trip to Asia, in fact they hadn't even been marked as a rush order. So I ended up having to go to Lenscrafters two days before my trip to get both the prescriptive sunglasses and the regular glasses Brand Optometry was supposed to provide. Unfortunately my insurance does not cover Lenscrafters so I payed $600 out of pocket because Brand Optometry couldn't manage to get my glasses to me on time. I still ended up paying for one pair of the glasses they had for me when I returned from the Asia trip. They apologized, but honestly it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. So terrible in fact that it has been 4 years since I've had an eye exam. I really need one (as I can't see) and made an appointment with a new doctor somewhere else. I really hope its better... TL;DR, this place was such a bad experience that I haven't been to an eye doctor in 4 years. read more

I dont think it has the best selection of glasses out there. The optometrist is great. He answered all my withering questions as this was my first experience ever having an eye exam. Late bloomer? Perhaps just late realization that squinting was not a fashion statement. Speaking of fashion, the frames here are not as updated and up to par as most eye places. And maybe it was culture but I wasn't used to being ignored. This particular store is placed in the middle of a heavily Armenian population so expect that all or most of the employees are Armenian. I did not feel like I was treated any different. As far as customer service, I must say I was disappointed on a few small notes. I had to return to try on the frames that were not in store. I was told to come back in a week, which I did. When I came back, the receptionist totally ignored me because she thought I was picking up glasses. When someone finally asked me for assistance, I told them that I was just seeing if my frames came in so that I can try them on. The receptionist overheard and apoligized profusely for ignoring me. Makes you go, "wow, okay at least she knew she was ignoring me on purpose. Am I suppose to be okay with that?" Oh well. So the lady checks my status and said, its not here yet and we'll call you when its ready. ..Another "wow, okay." So now I'm waiting on them to call me. Ring ring on Friday at 4:56pm. "Hi Ms Tran, your frames are here. Can you come in today to try them on?" I say, "Sure, what time do you close?" "I'm sorry, we're closing right now. Come in tomorrow." Yet again, "wow, okay." The next day I come into a place of stacked capacity. Waited 30 minutes for someone to ask me, "Have you been helped?" Do i need to say it? Yeah i do, "wow, okay" Eventually I got to try my frames and they cut it right then and there. I left within an hour. Finally. Hey thats my experience. He had stated that he had called a meeting to address this, and to prevent future occurrences. I'm a stickler for customer service, and to have been called by the doc himself, really just made a difference. We walked through the whole situation, and I couldn't be more pleased. He clearly is concerned about how his practice is viewed, and takes it seriously when something goes awry. His call & our conversation was a clear indicator of that. Things happen and mistakes can be corrected, and that's exactly what the Doctor did. I'd much like to go back for my next optometry need, to provide a fair & factual follow-up review. I came back from a trip unable to find my box of contact lenses. I only had a enough at home to hold me over for a few days. My prescription had just expired and I was due for a check up. First thing they told me when I called is that I would need to be seen before receiving a prescription for contact lenses. I explained to Hilda my situation and she was nice enough to let me purchase a few trial contacts until my follow up in a couple of weeks in which I'd be able to apply that credit to my next visit. I went to this optometry for annual check up. The dr. was nice, I did not get the right prescription. I was getting headaches after using the new eye glasses. I have to add that the adjustment of the glass was totally wrong, I went there to change my prescription and fix the issue. After about 2 months, I finally got the new glasses, but guess what!! The middle part had a crack! I was lucky to notice it. They send it back to replace. Vartan, and Edo were both very helpful on solving the issue.
