I am so relieved that I finally got my two piece suit tailored professionally cuffs. I bought this particular suit from my personal clothier. That's a fancy name for a guy who use to own a clothing store but now only orders and delivers from online. So I get these quality shirt and pants suits for only $40. So obviously It's not worth spending a lot on tailoring. However this one shirt and pant suit was made out of better quality. It was like a very heavy, tweed but almost like a herring bone or twill (I googled it). Anyway, it was uncut pants. The legs and arms were so long when I tried it on it made me look like on of those floppy balloon men in front of cell phone stores. I got mad at my clothier for selling me such a ridiculous outfit that would have to spend at least $100 to get fixed. I throw it in the back of my close for a whole winter and never took it out the plastic again. This winter while standing on the #34 bus on my way to work. I took a good look at the this time at the neon sign "Tailor". Next day off, I brought the suit. They had a very nice dressing room, with a Lazy Susan stand where I call see the full length of the pants unraveled like Rapunzel hair. I should have took a photo. I looked like "Mom who shrunk the kids?" The tailor was soft spoken and considerate. I even asked him to take the arms in a tad, not use just the Long stocking legs. There was another nice customer there. I came back week later, after a courtesy call from the Tailor and "Wha La". Fit for a King! Funny thing is I didn't have the dress shoes I was going to wear during the fitting but the length of the pant draped nicely. My Tailor saved my Clothier. I appreciate him so much and it only cost me $50 bucks. To be honest, that came about right since I got the set inexpensively. It would have probably cost me $250 full price. Anyway, it's a pleasure having a tailor and it wasn't 2 weeks before I came back to have my ultra cool blue and orange windbreaker suit pant leg fix. It torn in the legs along a dark blue stripe. He matched the color and it wasn't long before I got my courtesy call as soon as it was ready. I hopped on the bus and grabbed it as a price that was so nice I won't disclose. I just back on the bus and tried to hide it from prying eyes which was impossible because it's such a glowing, vibrant blue. I can't wait to wear it again. Thank You Golden Tailor.

I still use the ones from five years ago, but now I wanted ones that have a zipper on the side to make it easier to put on and off. I found the perfect pair. They're really actually very pretty too. They have the cool memory foam. Very comfortable on your feet. I also found a pair of slip-in sneakers. These are the kind that you can just slip right into without any laces or Velcro. What great innovation! This is my second pair of sketchers that are of this type. I have plantar fasciitis and I put in some inserts into the shoe for it added support and comfort. Excellent customer service! The woman helping went out of her way to make sure that I found shoes that work for me. She helped me try on many shoes until I found the right one. What great value! At this point I'm basically on a first-name basis with the clearance rack. This place is truly a magical hybrid of boutique, consignment shop, and small-town treasure hunt. They have clothes for kids, teens, and adults -- some new, some consignment -- and the consignment pieces are so pristine you'd swear the previous owner bought them, lovingly removed the tags, whispered affirmations over them, and then never wore them once. And it doesn't stop at clothing. Oh no. There's furniture, small appliances, baby items, exercise gear, bedding, health and beauty goodies (from really good brands, too). You name it, they probably have it. And if they don't today... check back next week, because the inventory changes constantly. One of my favorite things is how active they are on Facebook -- posting new arrivals, sale alerts, and little contests so you can plan your visit like a highly strategic shopping mission. The owner had her manager call me, who I had spoke to about these coats twice. Since they take your items and you get no ticket, ...they win! Bad business practice. Bureau not only sells fancy threads worthy of distinguished gentlemen such as myself, but they also sell exclusively fully customized suits. Head to the shop on Elmwood Ave. for a visit and I promise you'll be impressed. There is a small lounge area where you sit and discuss the design of your new suit that has the look and feel of being in a London flat, as if you just wandered into a snuggery in Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange. Also, said lounge area may or may not have a false wall that leads to a secret room where there may or may not eventually be a speakeasy where men can sit down, whip up old fashioned cocktails and discuss the ways of the world, hypothetically speaking. A pure testosterone kick. I stopped in and met with Joe and Mike on my first visit. I didn't realize how much time I would need, so I came back a second time to place my order. There are a lot of choices to choose from, from the fabric, to the buttons, to the pockets, to the decision of putting something cool and hip for your interior liner, such as floating skulls and your initials, or something more classic. I didn't realize how many subtle nuances could be added to a fully customized suit that not only make you look like a secret agent killer, but also these nuances can showcase that fact you're wearing a custom suit that you just can't get from Men's Wearhouse or Jos A. Bank. Suits they craft here are made utilizing the finest woven wools and other top materials of your choosing (e.g. tweed, cashmere). Expect a 4-6 week turn-around-time, as your personalized suits will be manufactured in Holland. With this level of service and quality, however, comes a price: two-piece suits start around $700-$800 and three-piece suits start around $1300. If suits aren't your fancy, Bureau also sells fully customized jeans, dress jackets and even leather goods, such as shoes and handbags, but the suits are Bureau's staple. My thoughts? Go to Bureau now and "suit up" like Barney Stinson. It will be "Legen...wait-for-it...DARY!"

I did my initial consult with Mike, and while I thought I had a good idea of what I wanted going into the appointment, the customization options were endless. Mike was super knowledgeable and down to earth, and really helped me narrow it down based on my vision. I opted to get the wedding suit package, that came with a three piece suit, custom dress shoes, white dress shirt, socks, knit tie, suspenders, and pocket square, and it's definitely worth the money. When I returned for my fitting and put the suit on the for the first time, I knew right away I never had a suit look and feel so good. Definitely will be returning to stock up on more suits with these guys. They're a riot, and the product is top notch.
