I knew that construction there had taken quite a long time, and was eager to see how it all looked. I can honestly say they did a great job in renovating this gym. Tons of machines all over the place, with massive fans cranking that nice air to cool you down. What I also saw that looked really neat was an area dedicated to 30-minute circuits. Apparently, they monitor this as to not let people hog these machines. I will have to check that out when I'm in a time crunch. Overall, it is a solid gym to work out with a price that really makes it easy to work with.

Coach Rodney Risner and Coach Michelle Mercer-Risner are terrific with kids of all age groups. They have adult classes too, and although that is not part of our experience, I hear good things about those classes as well. We didn't know what to expect, but it's been a great experience for my son learning martial arts and improving his physical fitness in a fun and encouraging environment!

They offer scheduled new member tours where the trainer will show you how to use the machines. If you don't want to do that, if front desk isn't busy they'll kindly take you around. I'd personally just hold off and go with the trainer though; he's thorough in answering your questions and helping you prioritize your health goals. No complains, only good vibes here. I've been to gyms where I feel eyes staring at me & it made me uncomfortable; I have yet to feel that way here. It gives me more of a YMCA-type vibe IMO. For $30 a month, I get to use the VIP room with the massage chairs, cryo machines, etc, have free training included, bring a guest with me, and feel comfortable here. I'm happy.

PITYFitness Pilates, an extension of PITYFitness, is a Pilates studio located in a stunning historic building that is over 100 years old. It offers a boutique experience with classes limited to just four people at a time, all using brand new reformer machines. Our group had varying levels of experience, ranging from professionals to beginners (like me), and Crystal managed to guide us effectively both as a class and on an individual basis. Crystal was amazing- she provided constant guidance, curated an excellent playlist, and delivered a solid workout in a lovely setting. I genuinely wish her and the studio all the best. I will definitely be booking more classes; I'm still feeling the burn! Just to note, since it may be hard to find -the studio is upstairs above Tang Soo Do, the martial arts studio and is accessible by both the front staircase or the one behind the building by PITYFitness.
