Fortunately, early in our journey to outfit our little one's room, we discovered Castle Kids, and we quickly transitioned from not finding a single option we liked elsewhere to debating which of two options to purchase from their store. DJ was honest and incredibly easy to work with, making us feel comfortable while shopping without ever feeling pressured. Their selection effortlessly caters to anyone's decor and budget, and the furniture itself is of such high quality that even a year after our purchase, it still looks as good as new. If you're in the Westchester area, do yourself a favor before settling for one of the national chains and pay Castle Kids a visit. You'll be glad you did! The store attendant/owner was incredibly rude to my partner - a polite inquiry about the price of a piece and any possible discount was met with an exaggerated exclamation of "No! No!" and being instructed with a bit of a condescending tone to put the piece back. A far kinder and more respectful response would have been more appropriate, welcoming, and effective (something like the following would have been more called for: 'no, I'm sorry that is the price I must sell it for, let me know if you're still interested or if i can show you another piece at your price point'). After the reaction, as my partner was putting the piece back and we were already moving toward the door leaving, the attendant/owner half-heartedly offered the piece could still be had (for the stated price), but the damage was already done. Though it is hard to know for certain, and she could have been having a bad day or have this character with everyone and would like to give benefit of the doubt, it is possible that there were some unconscious racial dynamics involved as my partner is a Person of Color. My partner felt deeply embarrassed/humiliated and upset - and the incident left a bad taste. Warning to others and suggest the owner/attendant to examine their behavior toward customers and to treat them with respect and kindness.

She spent a great deal of time guiding us through a huge selection of carpets. She came to the house to take the measurements and outlined the specifics of installations (i.e. locating seams). She remained in touch with us while awaiting delivery from the production mill. Installation was perfect and included floor prep of the plywood subfloor left by the contractor. The number of seams was limited and are not at all visible. Installers cleaned up completely. We had visited 3 or 4 other local carpet and flooring establishments in Northern Westchester and Connecticut. Service, selection, and pricing were the best by far at Westchester House and Home.

I showed him what I wanted and he make me aware that would not fit up the stair in condo.. His suggestion was to get recliners since they come apart to better fit. I was not sure I wanted recliners ..I said I would think abou it. I came back two days later and was met with Steve I requested I look at recliners as suggested . I did like the choice he provided I decided on gray sofa and love seat..
