The owner likes to…read moreget reviews taken down or untag his company from other social media platforms and then block you when you complain instead of owning up and fixing his mistakes. If I could give zero stars I would. They cut my internet line leaving myself and my husband to not be able to work, as we work from home. When asked what they are going to do about it Ryan told us it's not his problem. We asked for some type of reimbursement for our neighbor as she is the one that hired them and he said absolutely not. We were interested in getting a quote for a new deck but not now. Not after this treatment. Ryan was extremely rude and unprofessional in this matter. Not the type of company I would personally ever do business with. Edit: Ryan, based on multiple Google reviews you have the same MO of telling people it's not your fault and not your problem if you or your crew messes up in these circumstances. The initial contact with your crew was nice and we understood accidents happen. Profanity was not used until your tone and reaction to the situation was it's not on you it's on US to get it fixed. Your crew also used profanity towards us. I also want to point the fact out that WE DID NOT HIRE YOU. WE DID NOT SIGN ANYTHING STATING YOU ARE NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGES. You can state that you contacted the internet service but you and your crew told us we had to call and figure it out, which we did not you. Regarding reimbursement, you said it was outside your responsibility. It was YOUR equipment, YOUR crew that cut the line, YOUR responsibility. I did not hire you, but yet I'm liable for YOUR mistake, don't think so. You have extremely poor customer service, and you and your crew lack professionalism. You should own up to your company's mistake, take responsibility, and do what is right. Also, we had to pick up after your crew left boardS with screws and nails. AGAIN, we did not hire you. I'm glad your customer was happy but did you even look at the pictures because this is what you call a professional job? SECOND EDIT: This incident happened back on April 9, 2026. It is now May 29, 2026, and we STILL have exposed lines. I was contacted via text by what I assume is office personnel about having the lines buried back on April 22, 2026, stating that they put in a ticket to have them buried. I text back on May 21, 2026, asking if someone was coming out to get this resolved. I received no reply. I have personally contacted 811 three times, and they keep referring me back to the owner, Ryan, as he is the one who exposed them, to make sure they get reburied. According to Ryan, today, May 29, 2026, it is not his responsibility and there is nothing else they will do. You and your whole staff should be extremely ashamed of how you treat people and the poor quality work that you provide. Seeing how the conversation went today, May 29, 2026, with you on the phone, where you admitted that you use a power auger and you knew the lines were there, you just do not care what you ruin or how crappy your work comes out, just shows you have no business owning a company. Ryan, you continuously put in your comments that if there are any problems, reach out to you to be resolved. Well, that's a little hard to do when you block my number. You also blocked my wife's number. Your crew came back out to address concerns that my neighbor had with your work, as apparently it was not up to her standards, as you wrote up above that it was. There was one entire panel of fencing that was not properly cemented the first time. Your crew told my 86-year-old neighbor that she had to clean up their mess by hosing or sweeping it up. You also changed the property line by at least a foot. I am still unsure how my neighbor's pool lines will be buried back on her side, as they now lie in my yard, and the fence is up. Seems like if people complain about your work, you have an excuse like oh, well, sometimes lines get mis-marked and get cut. Well, maybe if you weren't using a power auger (which, according to 811, is not allowed within 18 inches of marked utility lines, and you definitely were within 18 inches), and actually hand-dug to find the lines, you wouldn't cut so many.

We did have a few hiccups/issues on the initial permitting and early dig, but we were able to adapt and overcome, which I appreciated Steve's flexibility on.

We first hired him back when he was known as "Steve Beam Handyman," and it's been amazing to see him grow and expand his services with the launch of Denver Remodels Inc. Over the years, Steve and his team have tackled everything from small repairs (like anchoring heavy drapery hardware into our finicky plaster walls) to major renovations (like restoring the exterior of our 1908 Craftsman). One of our favorite projects was transforming our mudroom by removing a wall and building a custom breakfast nook. This was a complex project, but Steve's expertise and creativity shone through. He even suggested a design element in the booth walls that perfectly complemented the Craftsman lines of our home - it's those little details that make a huge difference. What we think truly sets Steve apart is his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and his consultative approach. He takes the time to truly understand your vision and offers expert guidance throughout the design process. Whether you're tackling a small project or a major renovation, Steve's deep knowledge and experience are on display with every project he does. He's always there to answer questions, offer suggestions, and steer you in the right direction, ensuring that the final result is even better than you imagined. His team is equally fantastic - professional, efficient, and incredibly skilled. If you're looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional remodeling experience in Denver, look no further than Steve Beam and Denver Remodels Inc. They're a standout and I'm so glad we found them.

    Payless Fence

    Payless Fence

    (17 reviews)

Absolute. Nightmare…read more I got 5 estimates on a complete fence replacement. Ended up choosing Payless because Ben seemed very personable and had good Google reviews... I learned pretty quickly that I had been duped, and not to always trust Google reviews. There were multiple changes to the start date. Originally 4/21, then 4/23, then 4/28, then 4/30, then 5/5. Communication was poor at best - mostly, it was only when I reached out to him that I learned it was delayed yet again. He offered stump removal as a service for $150/hr. He showed up with a small grinder that was in no way adequate for the large stumps and two day laborers who were in no way skilled to do it. Grinder kept smoking and cutting out, and the guys were trying, but could only shave off parts of the stumps little by little. Ben had left, so I called him and told him to have them stop. He came back and was extremely agitated and argumentative. I asked him to calm down and said we needed to be able to have a normal conversation, but he wouldn't... Why would he bring the wrong equipment and guys who didn't know what they were doing? "That's all Home Depot had," and yelled, "I'm a FENCE guy, NOT a stump grinder guy!" His behavior made me extremely uncomfortable... So much so that I asked if I could just pay him for the one section of fence he took down and cancel the contract. He sneered, "Go ahead and cancel it, but you're not getting your deposit back." Mind you, not one bit of material had been delivered at this point, even though he had said he'd be bringing it and never did... Later, I received a text demanding $225 for the grinder rental before he would proceed with any work. I paid it (regrettably) -- I just wanted him to finish the work and be done... I paid to have the stumps ground by Davey Tree Service. Once he resumed (3 days later) he arrived far later in the day than he said he would - this would prove to be an ongoing issue. There was no fence between me and my neighbors, and I asked him to let me know when he'd be coming so they could keep their dog inside - he didn't do that, either... All of the delays resulted in my having to take additional days off work and cancel a planned vacation. Days later, I finally had ONE section of fence done. The day he was to start on another section, he texted me to say he was "Still figuring out post situation. Going have to go a different route and dig and set 10 ft posts." When I questioned this, as the contract stated that 12 foot posts would be used, he replied, "Also I have to weld up 2 more feet onto 10 ft posts since we are going according to contract, because I'm not spending what they're asking for them." Total breach of contract!! What he did with the $9,000 I gave him, I'll never know... It sure wasn't used to buy materials for my fencing. At this point, I'd had enough - told him not to come back until he heard from me. I needed to speak with my attorney, for sure... I also started doing a bit more digging into Payless Fence (I SHOULD have done this before I hired him and gave him a ton of money - kicking myself for this everyday...) His website had been taken down (he had one when I hired him,) he has NO business license and his LLC is delinquent. Wondering if he's gone out of business, left town, or ??? The old fencing had just been piled up in the alley behind my neighbor's. I asked when he'd be taking it away, heard nothing, texted him back 3 days later, and he said he'd be coming to get it that weekend. He never did. So I called 1-800-GOTJUNK -- $980 to have it hauled away. AND - no pressure-treated rot board on the one section he did, as in the contract. AND he didn't install a gate to replace the old one he tore down, which resulted in a clear opening from the street into the backyard. So I had to hire someone to build and install a temporary gate immediately for security purposes. I'm now in a credit card dispute through my credit union, have sent him a demand letter for what he owes me, and will pursue it in Small Claims Court if there is no resolution. I will update here.

I apologize for this review…read more Apparently the Fence builders did not, in fact, work for Payless Fence.
