Our dishwasher leaked while we were out of town, warping the hardwood floors in our kitchen. Our whole first story had the same hardwood so we needed to have a large section of hardwood replaced due to the water damage and then the rest of the first floor sanded and refinished to match the new section. We went with New Perspective based on reviews and the fact that Evan was able to come by to give us an estimate the same week we reached out. Evan was able to get the work started just a few days later and was very communicative about the timeline and process. The guy who tore out and replaced the damages flooring and Cruise, who refinished our flooring were awesome. They were respectful of our house and sleeping baby. Cruise went above and beyond and even helped my husband move furniture we hadn't gotten to in time. He was very kind while I was upstairs working from home and I felt comfortable with him in the home. Both Evan and Cruise helped is make some decisions on the flooring which we are happy with. I hired New Perspective Painting to paint the entire interior of my 2800 sqft home, including ceilings. To say the job was bad is an understatement. The entire house was painted with flat paint, including bathrooms, satin or egg shell was what was asked for, bathrooms should be semigloss, lines were not clean, uneven paint, paint was splattered on brand new hardwood floors, tile ruined from chemical used to get paint removed, doors were spot painted, not fully painted as paid for, the list goes on and on. The company did return multiple times to try to "fix" mistakes, more issues were created than fixed. We continue to find additional things that weren't done correctly, the job was done 6 months ago. The crew was very unprofessional, family members showed up to help, though they were not painters. When I hired this company it was based on knowledge, honesty and efficiency, none of which were expressed once the crew came in. We used New Perspective Painting to repaint the interior of our Victorian house in the Highlands built in 1890. Not an easy job. Evan Wilson, the owner of the company, came to our house, did a thorough walk through, and provided us an estimate that was more affordable than the other companies we talked to. But just because it was cheaper does not mean the work product suffered. We used five different colors and painted six rooms, two bathrooms, two hallways, stairs, ceilings, and trim. Evan and his crew were able to start just two weeks after we signed the contract, and he his crew finished the work in 5 1/2 days! They even repainted a significant portion of the kitchen (at no extra cost) after we decided we didn't like the color we chose. The work was terrific. They have already been out to the house one time for minor touch ups, and now that we had some carpeting on the stairs replaced, they are going to come out one final time to touch up around the new carpeting.
