I feel like this is an accurate review of the BS we've had to put up with for the past year of this…read morecompany. This is supposed to be the cleaning service for the building I work in and the cleaning person is terrible. We've complained well over 20 times about them not cleaning and being lazy and nothing has changed at all. Our customers are disgusted by our restrooms to the point that they would rather hold it and be uncomfortable than use the restroom. I've seen gas station bathrooms be cleaner than what we have right now. A clean place to use the restroom shouldn't be a hard ask. The current cleaning person for our building is terrible, they have sent us another cleaning person who did an incredible job and communicated with us in great detail about our restrooms, however the "new" (they've been here at least about a year) cleaner has done nothing but occasionally empty trashes and put an out of order sign on the door because they're too lazy to unclog a toilet; which my co-workers and I have had to unclog the toilets at least 8 times in total for very easy unclogs too! Especially when they're supposed to be here almost every day around 3 and I can personally say in the past 6 months I think I've seen them here maybe 4 times around 3pm, any other time they're here around 8pm-11pm ish and that's if they even show up! We have spoken to our building manager and the managers of this company and nothing is changing. So I will gladly take this review down when something is solved until then my statement stands as this company sucks. Who knew it would be this difficult to have a clean place to use the restroom.

It would be very difficult to give an accurate estimate that way because there's a lot of dry rot underneath the steps which needed to be inspected in-person. R&B Framing was the only company which showed up to take a look at the steps. Two days later, Jose Cedillo emailed me an estimate and thoroughly answered my questions. His company uses Redwood or cedar wood for Victorian homes, though cedar does cost extra. We were surprised by how fast his crew finished the job. They showed up on April 9th, early in the morning and worked until the evening. They arrived the next day to finish the rest of the steps and the banisters. He also painted the banisters according to the original white creme color. If it's a legacy house, they'll stick to the originality of the Victorian architecture. (Per building code regulations, when a house is considered a legacy house the paint must be the original--or close to the original color--of when the house was first built.)

They didn't come in as the lowest bid, but their presentation and cost were within project budget so they were selected. I'm glad we chose them, their team of subcontractors were on the job site every morning on time and ready to go. They handled the work efficiently, with skill, and we could not be happier with the results so far. They have to come back and do a little finish work, and some additional work we would like them to do that was outside the original scope of work (yes, we asked them to do more, that is how much we liked their service).

They cleaned up at the end of every work day. When we thought they were done, they came back out and touched up the paint where it needed it and rehung the cable/phone lines and exterior lighting. We appreciate all they did and will definitely be calling them back for our next project.

If you're looking for a reliable contractor, look elsewhere…read more I contacted Good Life based on the great reviews online. Their admin person is very responsive and got back to me right away to schedule an estimate for our project, which consisted of a lot of smaller stuff on a new home. The estimator was scheduled to come out between 12 and 1 on Monday, August 24. We hurried back from a camping trip to make it on time. When he didn't arrive by 1:13, I followed up. I got a call right away saying he couldn't make it until around 3. 3:00 rolled around and I get another call saying he couldn't make it until 4:30. Third time's the charm, I guess - he did finally show up at the end of the day, walked the project, and said they would love to handle it for us. He promised an itemized bid by Thursday. Thursday rolled around. Crickets. Friday. Nothing. I emailed again on Sunday to check on the status of the quote, and got an email back Monday morning saying, "The proposal is still in progress on our end. However, I just reached out to the estimator for an update on when it is expected to be completed. Our proposals typically take 3-5 business days, so you should receive it sometime this week." Fast forward to the end of Friday and still nothing. 9 business days, no quote, no updates, after completely blowing the initial appointment. Very disappointing.
