We hired Taylor Made to repair leaks in our walls over cheaper bids based on their reputation and apparent trustworthiness but they failed us in a number of ways and eroded any trust we had with them. After they completed the initial the work, we've tried to work with them for over two years to address lingering issues; we still have leaking walls with no resolution. Our multiple efforts to follow up with Taylor Made for a solution resulted in serious lack of response (some gaps for months), only being responded to after we reach out again and again. Even when they engaged with us, we only got finger pointing and excuses rather than working with us to actually resolve our issues. Once we shared that we were contemplating reporting them to CSLB out of total frustration they ceased all efforts and communications, leaving us having to resolve their issue. I won't bore you with all the details (which we have plenty of). Bottom line is we wholeheartedly regret hiring Taylor Made for this important work on our house. They didn't complete the work to our satisfaction, strung us along for two years promising a resolution in "Good Faith", only to leave us with nothing but a smaller back account, agitation and the need to find for a new contractor to fix what they should have. If you do decide to hire this Company and have any issues at all, be prepared to be blown off, promised but not delivered and the feeling not being valued as a customer. Their lack of ownership and efforts to provide a real resolution has proven to us they are not to be trusted. We truly tried to work with Taylor to come to a reasonable resolution, but in the end they left us with no option but to log a complaint with CSLB and make others aware of our experience. read more

After a few weeks of research and a couple quotes, we called Taylor Made and Andrew came out to hear our grand vision for a two story deck with a roof, a separate deck/staircase, and several external doors, including a custom slider. Andrew's exceptional mustache gave us an immediate sense of confidence and we knew we'd found the right company for the job. Sadly, that mustache is now gone, but our confidence remains nonetheless. Let me start by saying the work done by TMC's crews is outstanding, as in better than I imagined. If you want something done as cheaply as possible that won't last or add beauty and value to your home, look elsewhere. These folks are quintessential professionals. Set your expectations high for the final product and you won't be disappointed. Do set your timeline expectations realistically however - proper engineering and permitting take time so don't expect them to be rushed, but once TMC unleashed Johnny, Mikey, Eddie, Kevin, and a host of other amazing deck and door artists on my project, there was steady progress. Weather occasionally slowed things down, but only when it was clearly necessary. Progress was never rushed at the expense of quality either. Sincerely, Johnny's attention to detail is so impressive that I want him to do my next shoulder surgery. Or tattoo. Maybe both. Was everything perfect right away? No, of course not but it was close, and this is where TMC shines the brightest - their entire crew listens to their customers and refuses to just shrug their shoulders if something isn't exactly right. Everyone on site and everyone in the office handling planning and payments, like Rachel, Ricky, Chelsea, and especially Melissa didn't ever (seem to, at least) tire of hearing from me with questions or requests for information. To a person, everyone at TMC is clearly focused on making absolutely certain that the reality of their work meets (or in my case exceeds) their customers' expectations and vision. We contacted Taylor Made to handle the remodel of our downstairs that included the kitchen and living/dining room combo. Our house is about 18 years old and still had all the builder-grade cabinets and counters. It now looks like a completely different home! They did a fantastic job!! They stayed within our budget. Due to weather related damages, we have now used TMC twice within 2 years. They amazed us with the quality and vision with our first deck so we asked them to do it again when an 80' pine came crashing down and destroyed the first deck. The final product has been amazing to the point that we have had friends and our painter want to use them in the near future. If I could give them a negative rating I would. I hired them to replace some siding on the house and it was a big job. I received the quote and yes it was expensive, but I trusted the salesperson after meeting with him. What a big mistake. Stupid me. I was sold a bill of goods and promised that the bid included everything. Boy was I wrong. Not only did I have to add money to the job, they did a horrible job on the install. They had to bend the copping on part of the flat roof area and when they installed the new siding, the copping did not fit over the ends so the copping looks horrible. The copping sits on top of the corners instead of it going over the corners like it did before. They told me that they are not responsible for replacing it even though the sales person said the bid was everything needed to have everything new. When I fought with them over the coping they told me they would not do anything about it and even accused me of going onto the roof and damaging it. I have the metal of from the owner still so ehe he says he didn't, I have proof. They failed at least 4 inspections from the county because the job they did was not up to code. We told them exactly what paint we wanted them to use not they bought a cheaper brand paint and did not tell us about it. The only way I found out was when the painter came to repaint some areas, I was home and told them we did not approve of the brand of paint they used. They cut corners, cut expenses on their side, do horrible work, and blame customers for their lack of quality. Do not use them. read more

We called Steve with Taylor Made Construction because we were having a problem with birds in our attic. We were referred to Steve by a friend and they swore by the authenticity and honesty that Taylor Made gives each and every customer. Steve came out to our home within 24 hours and assessed our problem, he came off the roof with photos of the issues and a resolution. Steve's price was very reasonable and we had his guys do the work that was necessary. From the owners to the employees that we had at our home they were all very kind, courteous and respectful of my family and our home. While they were on the roof they noticed that we had a little water damage underneath our roof tiles and again Steve came to me with photos and proof of what was needing to be fixed. I loved this as I never once questioned if I was being upsold on service I didn't need. They were already into the roof so they fixed the underlayment in that area for a great price. Steve also noticed a few broken roof tiles and replaced those free of charge. He even matched our 2006 roof tiles perfectly!!! What a phenomenal family owned business whom takes pride in every job.
