I came by today, on a slow (Tuesday morning) to one my favorite stores and wasn't sure if what I wanted to purchase would be a good buy because there's no mirrors in the store and or dressings rooms available. I asked an employee no mirrors? She shook her head and stared at me. I then went to the register to purchase my items, I asked another employee Sarah (whose name is on the receipt), no way I could look at a mirror with the items? (Literally there's a whole dressing room closed where workers are folding clothes) I only wanted to look in the mirror for a quick second and hold the items up to me) Sarah said "yeah, no" with so much disdain in her eyes, mouth, and speech. It was truly admirable and incredibly heart warming to be welcomed with this much disdain and hate from a store I've spent thousands of dollars at. If you have more than a comment or question to there "do you know our stores policy?" comment at check out..be prepared, they will look at you with disdain, contempt, hate, annoyance. Have a little respect for your customers ladies, it goes a long way. I had one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had at Brandy Melville. The store has completely gotten rid of its fitting rooms, which makes absolutely no sense. Brandy Melville advertises itself as "one size fits all," so how are customers supposed to know whether something fits without being able to try it on? I'm 5'6 and 130lbs and their clothes still don't fit me half the time. Not everyone fits into clothing the same way, even if it's technically one size. When I asked an employee why there were no fitting rooms, I was told it was "management policy" in a dismissive and rude tone. Since they wouldn't let me use a fitting room, I tried on my clothes in a discreet area of the store. An employee immediately told me that wasn't allowed either. I asked to speak with a manager, but was told there wasn't one available (of course). I then asked whether the return policy had changed since customers can no longer try on clothing before buying it. The answer was no - you still only have 21 days and can ONLY receive store credit. So let me get this straight: customers can't try on clothes before purchasing, but they're still expected to take the risk and only receive store credit if the items don't fit? That's a terrible customer experience. I had a large stack of items I was planning to purchase, but after this interaction I handed every single one back and walked out empty-handed. If Brandy Melville doesn't trust customers enough to provide fitting rooms while also maintaining such a restrictive return policy, they won't be getting my business. Until this policy changes, I'll be shopping elsewhere. I've always known the Brandy girls to be bitches, but these were just miserable people. Spend your money somewhere else. read more

I'm not sure why this place has bad reviews. Coming from an introvert, I don't like talking to anyone when I enter a store. Especially Brandy is one size mostly. The store has a lot of items. It's like a mega store. I stumbled upon this one and I was driving by and I had to stop for it. I got a loose fitted San Diego white shirt on red text and it fits perfectly! I also got a blue mini dress. Checkout was surprisingly fast with only two people in front of me. I saw in the reviews that it gets really packed and the lines get really long. But I think a popular store will always have long lines. Reasonably. I wear my brandy stuff on the daily so I would say the quality is really good. Took my daughter there and the place closed their dressing rooms. Then when you go home to try it on and if it doesn't look good. They will not refund your money. They have a 14 day refund policy and will only let you exchange it. If you buy something less expensive they won't give you a refund on that amount. They closed the dressing rooms because they were using curtains and people could see you naked. They were using a sheet as a door. Don't go to this place. Give people back their money if it doesn't fit. Cheap company. Get real dressing rooms or people will stop shopping at brandy Melville . We will not be back until you fix the dressing rooms. Ripping people off intentionally. Their changing rooms are closed and they don't allow trying anything on out on the store floor. So we bought things to try them on right outside in another bathroom. We brought back the few items that's didn't fit or look right and they won't give your money back! Only exchange or store credit. I had a terrible experience with the staff, the cashier didn't even acknowledge me because she was too busy chatting with her friend, and when she finally acknowledged me she just extended her hand for me to give her my clothes and didn't even say anything. Terrible experience. I bought a white T-shirt with blue print that was labeled as "machine washable." After one wash in cold water, the blue dye bled and ruined 17 other white clothes. The store refused to refund or replace it, saying "once washed, we can't help." That's ridiculous -- how would anyone know it bleeds before washing? Their site was messed up and charged a double order, one day later I called when I noticed my card got hit twice and they said we can't cancel its already been sent. That was a flat out lie as I checked tracking. No packing slip in the box and idk which order it is . The chaos of Brandy Melville is always inevitable since it's the only location in SD. I come to shop for some essentials and the store is always super busy! Clothes are for the most part very well organized and folded, however, it's a challenge to go through racks and looking at the same white colored T-Shirt. Jewelry are final sale and a fairly low price as they do tarnish quickly. I haven't seen any shopping baskets but if they do it would be very handy! I love Brandy Melville but they definitely need more space for their clothes as most of the time it is trouble just pulling something off the shelf/rack! read more

Usually, you find cute stores like this in the malls. I was lucky to stumble into this while walking around with my wife. I recently visited this store, and we had such a great experience! Shopping online for women's clothing can be very difficult for me, especially since I'm not familiar with what looks good on females. However, the staff here really made a difference. I was lucky enough to be helped by Tenely, one of their associates, and I just have to say--she was fantastic! I was originally considering a gift card for my teenage niece's birthday, but Tenely walked me through the store and helped me pick out the perfect, stylish outfits that were both cute and on-trend. She also made sure to find the right sizes for everything, which was such a thoughtful touch. Thanks to Tenely's expert assistance, I ended up with the perfect birthday gift for my niece. Very interesting store. Everything was one size only and that's already a red flag for poor quality clothing. After taking a stroll around the store it looks like a lot of bad quality pajamas/loungwear that's suppose to pass for casual wear. I'm actually very confused by the concept of this store because of the one size. It's very backwards. The culture of the employees working here is very interesting too. They don't seem like they have been trained and seem to be doing whatever they please. There was a group of them trying on clothes in the dressing room and hanging out like a group of friends. Similar thing behind the register; mix of girls just doing whatever. My trips here with the daughter were not enjoyable for me, but I kept my composure nonetheless. It took a while to get over the awkwardness of being the only dude in the store besides the security guy at the door. Which look like an older sister- remember this is PB. You know, attention seekers- look at me, I'm pretty, are you shameless..? The clothing off the racks and shelves here aren't anything really special, although there are some cute styles. Similarities to Urban Outfitters but younger. My daughter went through a stage where she liked a few things here. Supposedly, there is only one size on many items she has told me. European, petite sizes. But they do differ greatly from shirts to pants. How can this be? Well, because it's all geared to this younger, smaller bodied clientele. The employees are just slightly older it seems. I had never heard of this store before today but my niece asked that we go. Before entering she warned me that the employees were very rude and not to be surprised. I brushed it off, thinking to myself, it can't be that bad. Wellll.. they should have that warning on the front door. As we entered this very beige store, we were immediately greeted with dirty looks and a very cold harsh feel. Not a "welcome" or "how can I help" but young women who gave off the impression us entering the store was an inconvenience to them. I am not sure what kind of brand this company wants to promote but the entire experience was extremely disappointing. Why do you want your employees to act that way towards paying customers? Customers who pay for overpriced, washed out, wanna be east coast Hamptons, one size fits nobody. I would much rather take my business to old navy, at least they offer more sizing options, color variety, better prices and a smile. It's literally the same stuff but triple the price. I'm sure women will continue to visit this store because the internet told them it's worth it but it's not. I'm sure the product is good but the customer service was disgusting. Gross. Is that really the impression your brand wants to make? Do you want women to feel uncomfortable in your store?
