Their Physical Rehab area has Therapists that are not only caring but actually work with you to ensure you gain physical strength and balance as safely and quickly as possible. They also Listen to patients requests and go that extra length to make your session both pleasing and productive; something that I found almost nonexistent at other facilities. A major plus is that the nurse supervisors/managers will and do perform duties ordinarily done by others of lower title (even aides' duty) when the need arises; they are real professionals.

Requests for diagnostic tests were not relayed, not performed, and/or the results not communicated. The office staff was always disorganized and harried. Our patient was not prepared for doctor visits, despite the staff assuring us they would be. Don't place your loved one here.

Physically, the facility is beautiful, clean, and roomy. There are outside patios, bird feeders, nice views from patients' The food is delicious. It is quiet, and quite homey. The staff and volunteers have been wonderful, professional, helpful, and eager to get the patient exactly what she needs 24/7 In particular we have been impressed with my sisters nurse, Susan, who is the consummate professional. She is compassionate and one of those rare professionals who is a good listener. "Being heard" is the greatest gift one can give to a hospice patient. I don't know all the names of other staff, but everyone I have met has been compassionate, helpful, patient, and kind. If you or a loved one seek Hospice Care, Chandler Hall is first rate. My sister loves and trusts her physician.

They could not give her medicine--I had to do it. They did not watch her and she had a fall. They told us they could handle patients with FTD, but the staff that was not up to the challenge. Artis Senior Living- Huntingdon Valley is a "god send." While my wife is difficult, the staff is up to the challenge. Starting with respecting all patients, they have managed to handle her meds, her incontinence and here wandering. They take responsibility for caring for her which gives our family the confidence that we can go about our business without constant interruptions. The "neighborhood concept" has made my wife feel part of community. She has friends and feels apart of an extended family and so do we.

It is clean, bright, and cheerful and is incredibly well maintained. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be treated with love, and compassion, and where they are respected and safe, this is the place for them to reside. As you enter the Solana doors you are always greeted with a smiling and professional receptionist. Joanne has been such a pleasant source of supportive care with her sweet and caring disposition. In 2024 my mother transitioned over to the Memory Care Wing. Alaina, the Memory Care Director was amazing throughout this difficult process. Her empathetic care, gentleness and patience has warmed our hearts as my mother always has a smile on her face when Alaina is present. The staff, including the aides, nurses and med techs are extremely attentive to each resident's needs and treat everyone with respect and warmth. Whenever my family has questions about my mother's health concerns, Adria, one of the nurses, has been incredibly supportive with her medical expertise and follow-up. A special shout out goes to Steve for his wonderful sense of humor and warmhearted personality. He keeps the residents active with such activities as daily aerobic classes, craft activities, weekly live music, lots of card and brain games and scenic drives. The care and respect that is given to each resident and family member is commendable. My father was a resident of The Solana Doylestown Memory Care for 3.5 years. The first couple of…read moreyears was more than I could ask for. The staff was constant, receptive and always seemed caring to residents and families visiting their loved ones. Unfortunately, the past 2 years have been so very disappointing. The staff was constantly changing and lacked continuity which is exactly what people with dementia need. I would walk in and the staff never acknowledged me. Half of the time, the staff were sitting around on their phones ignoring residents. My father's room was always dirty. There was one occasion where he or another resident had an accident and there were feces all over the carpet and walls of his room. I asked them to please clean it up and I was told that maintenance was not working on Sunday's so it would have to wait. The next day I returned and the room was still in the same condition. My father has since passed and the last few weeks of his life at Solana were stressful and heart breaking. He was falling up to four times per day and still staff did not assist him to his room. It is important to mention that the newly assigned director of the facility should be ashamed of himself. He does not follow through with anything that he promises and is unprofessional. The facility shows nicely, but don't let the lovely decor fool you.

While the facility itself could use some updating (that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) the Staff is incredible and they were extremely helpful during my Mother's stay at the facility. Nurses Anna and Vicky were incredible and my Mother, who was not the easiest patient, liked them very much. Unfortunately while at the facility my Mother's health declined quickly (not due to the treatment by the facility) and they helped me to transition my Mother to Hospice and made it possible for my Mom to go home to her own house for her final days. The Director of Nursing and the facility Manager were incredibly helpful in setting up Hospice and were extremely supportive of me as the caretaker. I am grateful to the staff and would recommend them to anyone.

The accommodations are beautiful and give a very relaxing atmosphere. WEL's staff portrays an overall warmth with friendliness and helpfulness. The meals, also, deserves a very high rating. I would highly recommend this facility. My only wish is that I had such a facility close to my hometown.
