The entire staff was just amazing - so caring and kind and made my father feel like they knew him for years. Maria Carnevale, Director of Admissions, was especially wonderful and went out of her way to work with us no matter what obstacles came up. She treated us like family and made the place truly feel like home. Many of the staff have been there for 10, 15, 20 years or more and that speaks volumes. When it came time for the paperwork there was another text exchange asking about the 2 year guarantee because my parents would fall short of it. She text me "Just be transparent on the financial form, that way we can plan for when they start to apply" That Friday the director started getting involved asking questions. Only to wind up denying them despite what I was told. Director Melissa Hingher told me she was going to talk to someone else at corporate and get back to me. 1 week later hadn't heard from anyone. I escalated it to their corporate office when Kenneth Segarnick emailed me back saying he received my email that was sent to the CEO Brenda Bacon. We scheduled a phone call and he backed them 100% didn't care what was in writing. Stated he wasn't a party to the conversation, but I have it in writing. Bottom line be careful with this place, they will tell you what you want to hear but won't back it up, they are liars simply put. Makes me wonder if they do this with admissions, what would they do when it came to care.

From the numerous interviews and patience of Linda and Frank in answering all of our questions and concerns, to the interactions with the nurses (Colleen and Theresa) and activities coordinators, Tara and Anna - everyone here makes this place fantastic. Even the janitor is willing to help out when he can. The advantage of this place is that the whole facility is memory care based creating the best possible environment for your loved one. The entire staff is dedicated to ensuring that our dad is well cared for. We have never seen a resident mistreated or abused during any one of our visits here. The place is spotless and well maintained. We have absolutely no regrets in choosing the Brandywine at Colts Neck and highly recommend this facility.

The staff are very friendly, caring and professional. You can tell that they really care for their residents. Dinara, who was giving us the tour knew all the residents by name and was very interacting with them. My parents made the difficult transition from living alone to Brandywine. Although my dad needs much more "help" than mom, they are both finding things they can do together. The weekly trips are a wonderful enrichment for them, as well as interaction with the other residents. Happy hour is also a favorite for them and they look forward to that every week. It's great to know that they are in a safe and nurturing environment.

I placed my father at the Howell location in July 2018, and words cannot begin to express the gratitude I feel toward each team member whenever I walk into the facility. Pop had a difficult time adjusting when he first got there (as I'm sure most do). The seeming loss of independence and his recognition that he needed care was hard for him to handle, as he is a proud man who always did whatever needed to be done to provide for his family. Colleen G was absolutely wonderful during the admission process. Jen S has been looking out for and taking excellent care of my Dad. Amy is just an absolute delight. My father feels loved and safe there. Each and every single interaction I've had with any of the staff members has been excellent. I am a single mother with two kids. I have a full time job that requires frequent travel, and a chronic illness that can knock me out of commission for a few days on occasion. Taking care of my father for the past 18 years has been difficult. I would like you to know that since Dad has been at Brandywine, I feel that a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I cannot thank you enough. Lisa has built such an incredible culture there and has such a great staff and I simply wanted to offer my thanks.

Some of the employees are very kind and caring, but not all. On several occasions, Mom has had to wait hours for someone to help her get dressed or go to the rest room. I shudder to think what might happen if she had a medical emergency and pushed the help button. Despite repeated complaints, nothing changes. Also, the food is disgusting. Every time I visit Mom I bring her a meal. All the residents complain about the food, but it never changes. It is often served cold and if there is an expensive item on the menu, it runs out during the first dinner seating. The meats and fish are always overcooked and dry. This is institutional food at its worst. Mom survives on carbs because the proteins are inedible. Elderly people need soft, moist food. The management puts on a good front, but when you dig deeper, what you find is unpleasant.
