Today, I had a cavity filled and a tooth prepped for a crown in the Bedford location. My original appt was later on in the month, but due to a cancellation, I was seen today. The permanent crown will be put in place before Christmas! Dr. Chan and his staff took every precaution to make sure that my anxiety was eased and that I felt comfortable under their care. They were patient, took frequent breaks and administered extra novocaine when I asked for it. They told me next steps and gave a percentage of work left to be done. At 75%, I could see the light at the end of the tunnel! The scan wand they use take 3D images of your teeth is super cool. The Solea Laser, although intimidating, was painless. I would not recommend this dentist…read moreoffice to anyone as they lie about treatment needed, do not properly train their staff (specifically, receptionists and dentist assistants) and have a general lack of caring towards their customers well being. One time, the dentist I saw recommended that I have my wisdom teeth (which caused me no pain) to be removed. I had two wisdom teeth on the left side of my mouth. The Dentist claimed I would get cavities if I did not have them removed. The first specialist they referred me to didn't even check my mouth and were ready to remove my teeth. I decided against this. The second oral surgeon actually took the time and examined my wisdom teeth. Not only did they say this was not necessary, but they recommended against it and it would be considered cosmetic treatment. The dental assistants were a mixed bunch. Some were decent, but there had been several times when cleaning my teeth where they scraped my gums. This was quite painful and the assistant pretended it was due to my lack of flossing. When the dentist came to view my teeth, they said I did an excellent job cleaning them. What finally made me decide to write this review (as I had already been considering leaving them) was the way they treated me. Post-Covid pandemic, they required masks and still do. In the past, they readily had masks available as I sometimes forgot to bring mask. For a recent appointment, I did not have a mask. I saw the receptionists and asked for a surgical mask. Very coldly and rudely without even saying good morning to me, the receptionist, while wearing a surgical mask, claimed they were no longer for customers and instead offered me a KN95. I had arrived early and offered to wait outside. The receptionists refused and insisted I sit in the waiting room wearing a KN95. As I wear glasses, KN95s are extremely uncomfortable. No one told me about the change in policy about being forced to wear KN95s. I refused to wear the mask. When I spoke to the manager, I asked if I could get a surgical mask. Not only did the manager refuse my accommodation, she claimed the other employees were "shaken" by my behavior and claimed I terrified them with my yelling. I did no such thing and asked why the employees would say that as I was confused. The manager then said I would no longer be offered services at Wellspring Dental. Do not go to Wellspring Dental. The office will lie to you about treatment you need, do not train their staff well, and do not care about you as a customer.

Clearly, I needed to find another dental clinic to continue work on my nasty pie-hole (I'm kidding, guys. My mouth's not that gross). Anyways, I happen by this place via Yelp search, naturally. And let me say...they did not disappoint. This clinic is a smaller one, which I like. Of the two times I've been here so far, it really hasn't been all that packed. While there may be some adjustments needed for their booking procedures (Seriously, I had to get rescheduled 4 times before locking in a solid time. What even IS that?!), they are very quick to check you in once you're locked in for a time. The office is very clean and COVID compliant. For the time being, you still need a mask to enter the building. The reception desk has its plastic shields in place, hand sanitizer, and so forth. But now...the real question that's probably on your mind. How gentle or rough are the dental hygienists? Take this with a grain of salt, as I am a patient whom requires more frequent cleanings as opposed to someone who does NOT have periodontal issues. The cleaning was (much to my surprise) completely painless. Yeah! It probably has to do with the fact that this was just periodontal maintenance rather than a deep cleaning, which I assumed was going to be the case. What that consists of is basically just them taking off the hard stuff more frequently than usual. A "normal" patient only needs a cleaning about every 6 months or so. I go twice as often. So, considering how painless this was, I don't think I'll mind the new schedule as much as I otherwise assumed. Pricing is fair enough. But as I tell everyone, check with the office to verify if they accept your insurance policy first. They're easy to find, located just off of the turnpike. Oh, forgot to mention...I met the head dentist of which this place is rightfully named after. The guy seems pretty chill and very knowledgeable in his craft, but definitely not in a pompous sort of way. That's always a plus for me; when dentists and their hygienists are non-judgmental towards their patients. With all that said, I think we got a keeper here, fellas!
