Every time I come here I leave with something. It never fails. Gah. If you have thought about it, they've got it. If you need it, it's here. If it's that part to that thing sitting in your garage, that your grandpas grandpa left you in the will... the piece to fix it is probably here. I've gotten so many cool thing's from here it's ridiculous. I've left happy every time with a boost of dopamine that nothing can touch, and the token box you get to carry it in isn't all too bad either. From wedding jewelry, to cookie jars, to coffee pots, and church hats. I've gotten beer openers, old signs, shirts, jackets, lamps, and dishware. I wasn't sure what to expect when pulling up to this HUGE warehouse! I was surprised to find a lot of different goodies within! They definitely have a variety of options. I will say they have some items that they label as vintage or simply older. It was weird seeing the same brand of dinner plates labeled as vintage on one of the shelves. I appreciate that there are so many different booths with different kinds of items inside; trinkets, clothes, music, baskets. The thing I still think about here is the ability to carry around a basket OR place the basket into a metal buggy! read more

It was cold. It was rainy. It was perfect Brass Armadillo weather. We had no real plan--just needed to wander and let the aisles speak to us. And speak they did. I go to the Brass Armadillo whether I'm hunting for something specific or just looking to kill time while the weather debates being snow or rain. No matter what, I always walk out with something I didn't know I needed but definitely needed. This time? A graduation gift, a coworker surprise, and a nostalgic sugar rush thanks to their retro candy selection. Nothing screams "treat yourself" like a pack of wax lips and candy cigarettes. We laughed, we reminisced, we said "Oh my gosh, remember THIS?!" at least 40 times. The aisles are basically a time machine, and yes, we took the scenic route through the '80s and '90s. Only gripe? They ask if you're in the rewards program after you pay. That's when you find out you had points or cash to use... which is kind of like learning your scratch ticket was a winner after you've already tossed it. But hey, that's on me. Next time I'll remember I'm basically rich in reward points. All in all, a cozy little adventure. The Brass Armadillo just might be my favorite place in all of Omaha; even when I don't plan to purchase anything specific, it is the perfect place to browse with friends and family. I have found countless gems in this location, and their pricing is insanely reasonable. There is truly something for everyone here: my dad collects sports cards, my mom look for pottery and homeware, my sister got a beautiful vintage sofa for her room and a rabbit fur coat, and I have collected every level of bits and pieces to my heart's delight. Their selection is genuinely the best in Omaha, and their rewards system adds up quickly for great discounts. The staff is always kind and helpful, and the general ambiance is very comfortable and inviting to simply browse and do your own thing. Absolute BEST antique mall I have ever visited! Really well organized and signed. Aisleways with street signs. Multiple employees who are all very helpful, mannerly, pleasant, and knowledgable about the store. Hundreds of different vendors managed like its one store with one purchase location and interface up front like a normal store. Open all 7 days from 9 am to 9 pm! Vendors have a choice of three approaches: 1. Large cubicals down street aisleways for large vendor displays 2. Locked clean and clear glass cabinets down long aisleways 3. Unlocked shelf sets down long aisleways All presented items are easily accessible by customers. The whole multiple thousand square foot store is clean, air conditioned, well lighted, and extremely well organized! Kudos to management on excellent presentation and customer experience! The Brass Armadillo is half antique mall and half collectibles market (current and vintage) - so there's something for everyone, really. The ambiance is very soporific as you peruse all the aisles and booths. Each aisle has a little street name, so you can remember which aisle you were in if you need to make your way back to a certain booth. There are definitely antiques here, like furniture, clothing, tools, ephemera, toys, and more. So if you're an antique collector, it's definitely a place for you to check out. They also have a lot of booths and cases that are for modern collectibles like Funko Pops, 80s toys, Barbies, figurines, and other items of that nature. If you're on the hunt for a certain collectible or are just wanting a fun activity, looking for treasures or a few weird items to laugh at (the novelization of the movie Face/Off? Great place to get out of the heat and reminisce about things from your childhood. Place is huge and a little overwhelming but if you have nothing better to do and have some time this is your place. Looking for something to do that's a little bit different? Even if you don't collect antiques, there's something for everyone at the Brass Armadillo. One of several locations, the store in Omaha is ginormous, which is great for social distancing, especially on weekdays. It's open from 9 to 9 seven days a week. When we visit, Bookguy is looking for sheet music, vinyl, and of course books. We usually split up, each starting at the opposite far end so we can cover the whole space. The times I've roamed the store from end to end, I have to take a nap when I get home! I'm always on the lookout for things I remember growing up with such as polka dot high ball glasses, interesting cookie jars, antique furniture, and art. There's a huge variety of man cave stuff and lots of pop culture collectibles such as Star Wars and vintage advertising. I also often find the perfect gift for family members who have specific collections. They used to have a tiny concession where you could take a break with coffee and a snack, but only a few tables and chairs are left now. For such a huge space, it's easy to find your shopping companions if you get separated. Each aisle is named after a state so you can call your friends to tell them you're waiting in the middle of Wisconsin Ave, for example. There are many glass cases with "smalls" in the front area, some locked, some not. You can easily get a worker to unlock a case if you want a closer look. The staff is very friendly and security conscious with someone at the door at all times. If you happen to find something you just have to have, bring it up to the counter for safekeeping until you're finished shopping. They also wrap fragile items with great care. With well over 300 vendors, it's quite likely you'll find at least one items that trips your trigger. read more

We were visiting family in Omaha and arrived early so we stopped in. We are from the Kansas City area and we also have a Brass Armadillo east of the city. They look the same from the outside. The difference is the quality of vendors and the Omaha location seems to have the edge. You need to to give yourself 2-3 hours to go through everything. As I said many of the vendors have a particular niche and you could tell they spent a lot of time on their space. read more

This place is really great. This place is massive and the inventory changes often. I always try to make my way through the entire place in an hour and soon my eyes are glazed over from too much stimulation. I usually stop by a few of my favorite booths and spend less time on the others. You really could spend the entire day here, trust me, I've done it. Bring water and lunch and you'll be good to go, or they've got a Blimpies there. Some booths offer discounts, so it's always a good idea to ask at the counter if anything is on sale, or if they could go lower on any of the items you've picked out. One down-side is that they are a chain, I'd prefer shopping locally owned. This so far has been my best antique experience in Omaha. Rows and rows of great find all at a great price! No matter what your looking for I guarantee they have it for you. Be prepared to roam here so if your in a time crunch you should really watch the clock. I lost 2 hours here easily just scratching the surface of one side of the store. I can't recommend this place highly enough. They even have regular food trucks come and do lunch outside! If you have an afternoon free check out Brass Armadillo you won't be disappointed. read more

I feel like I'm in heaven when I shop here. I love antique jewelry and boy can you find some great deals here. Recently I spent 3 hours going through the locked glass cases here. When you find something, press the button located at the top of the glass case for assistance. I was fortunate to have Bill "at my service". I had him running around like a madman and it never fazed him one bit. What a gentleman! Be prepared to find some great bargains and spend too much money. It's awesome! If you happen to also like antiques, peruse the aisles and aisles of "stuff" for good buys. Just give yourself plenty of time and make sure you eat before you go. This antique store is AMAZING! You can find everything under the sun at reasonable prices. I spent a total of 6 hours in one day just browsing the endless inventory. The dealers were incredibly friendly and very willing to assist me on my adventure! When I checked out I simply asked if any of the dealers offered discounts and I received 10% off! Oh. My. Goodness. This place is MASSIVE. They have so much stuff. It is awesome. We stopped by on the way home to Indiana from Utah after having spent the night in Omaha. They have something for everyone here. Lots of good prices. This place is also extremely well organized. This is one of the most organized antique malls I have been to, and I have been to MANY. The staff are also very friendly and helpful and they even answered questions we asked about the Omaha Zoo and talked with us. This place is awesome. read more

Great place for people who are nostalgic for the past & antiques lovers in general. There's antiques both new & old here; mostly items from the early 20th century and before, as well as collectibles such as toys, autographs, DVDs & VHS tapes, occasionally "haunted" items (depending on the vendor), etc... There's many different hallways that have booths rented by vendors who sell their items in these booths. Many of them have fairly reasonable pricing, while some have their items overpriced. Overall, most of the items are pretty affordable. You can actually find items that are worth 3 or more times more than what they're being sold for here. This is a pretty fun place to explore, especially with how big it is and how many items there are to look at. It's also got a cafe called "Poppin' Pickles" as well as an interesting area in the middle that has a variety of candies & other snacks to choose from. Being from Kansas City area, we have one of these (there are four in the region). It is odd how much they are the same...in more ways than one. First, they are big stores. Omaha's version is big. Expect to send time wandering. Big but flows with proper aisles, which are all labeled to get back easily. Second, they are off the highway. Location is key, so they are always on major highways. Some are a pain to get to though. Omaha's wasn't bad if you get off at the 370 Highway exit. It is the service road that takes you to the front door. Third, why do they all have the refishing guy at them? The guy with the video that plays in a loop and dresses like the dad from Fiddler on the Roof...you all know... We didn't buy anything, but we did enjoy looking. Prices flux based on vendors. Items flux the same as the prices. Big win is that it is open from 9am to 9pm. Most antique places close early, so this is a great place to end a shopping day after everywhere else closes. read more

Since I'm an antique and collectable lover... the Brass Armadillo is my home away from home. I'm into collecting primitive, western, native american and americana decor, along with steampunk collectables. I've found it all at BA! Many booths and cases to check out and great buys if you look closely and take your time. Each aisle is named with a banner overhead, so it's easy to return to that special find. They do have a sandwich shop with cookies, and clean restrooms if you need a break. Staff is friendly, hours are great, and there really is a brass armadillo to greet you! See you there! read more
