I was visiting west palm with my wife and another couple. We had dinner and some drinks at the sailfish marina and the bartender recommended the brass ring pub as a local place to go have some drinks. So we ubered over there. From the outside it doesnt look fantastic. Its like a small old building. When we walked in it was busy on a saturday night. They only serve beer and wine and have a barfood type menu. They had my favorite beer (jai lai) and it was only $3 per glass. Thats half of what the beer costs at the brewery where its made. Their drinks are super cheap. We played pool for an hour and had some drinks and my tab was less than $20. Its a small hole in the wall dive bar and I love it. We ended up going back on Sunday because I wanted to try their food. Their wings are really good and their burgers are huge and delicious. If I lived in the area id be here often. What a great spot in west palm! read more

We were recommended to stop in after our dive trip after the boat got back in right down the street. We were so thankful that they did. We were hungry when we got there so put in some mozzarella sticks right away with our beer order (for the adults) and a Sprite for my daughter. The beer came out cold and fast and the mozzarella sticks came out super hot right after. Two of us went with the burger. I did the mushroom cheeseburger and it was cooked perfectly with lots of mushrooms. My daughter did the hamburger and she said it was delicious. It was like they were cooked on a open flame grill, super juicy, and perfectly cooked temp on the inside of the burger. My hubby had the honey mustard wings and he said they were delicious and well cooked with lots of flavor. The service was great. This place is tucked out of the way and nothing big or fancy, but it is casual, comfortable and delicious. Can't wait to get another burger here on our next trip down! read more

I have always had great service and food when I come for lunch but yesterday I went with a friend late afternoon and food was good but service was not that all! I was very disappointed and my friend had never been there They charged $3.50 for a small dish of broccoli which she said was soggy . She didn't know an extra charge! So manager was nice he took it off the bill The waitress never came by after she put my bill on table where it was wet! I asked for a box and never got so I had to go to bar to ask again! This place is hopping with locals. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but non-stop inside. There's pool tables surrounded by a long bar and booths. Very casual inside with an amazing, attentive staff. Angela took care of us and was awesome! Pitcher of beer served with a bag of ice so you enjoy all the beer that's not watered down. I was having my mothers car serviced at Earl Stewart Toyota and since I was going to be there for a little while I asked the service advisor where could I get a bite to eat within walking distance. He told me this place was the bomb and that I had to get a burger. So I did. I walked into the dark bar, I was greeted by a friendly bartendress. I ordered my burger to go and waited outside until it was ready. I got my order walked back to the car dealership sat down and opened up my to go box and begin to eat my burger. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't very tasty either. The chips were decent. But I don't really like potato chips. I was told I should. Meh. Ok. I enjoyed the walk there and back. I can here specifically for the wings. They sounded great from other reviews, pictures looked good, so I thought I'd give it a shot. The chicken wings, priced at around $1.40 per wing for a batch of 50, were relatively tasty but left me desiring more from the wings. While they were decent flavor from the sauces on the wings, I believe more of a crispy wing would have made them stand out from the crowd. I assume other reviews of the wings were made in the company of friends and accompanied by a beer or two. The pub's atmosphere was relaxed but relatively dark with a crowded feel although relatively empty when I visited (Sunday around 4pm). A local hole-in-the-wall and a Palm Beach favorite for mariners, captains and everyone else. Darkened with no windows, once you walk in you've stepped into a different world. Tightly packed but plenty of seats in the front and back with kids and adults welcome to join. The service is usually pretty good, however we've had a few grumpy servers alongside our great ones. Known for their burger, it's usually the only thing I get every time I go, but my husband swears it's the wings that keep him coming back. Food is good bar food but in my opinion, better! In the back you'll find a few quarter games and a pool table. We always sit in the back and let the kids play the games, so bring your quarters. However every now and then a few grumpy old men may kick your kids off the pool table. All in all a great experience. Since we moved to Florida in the late 80's or maybe early 90's we started coming here weekly as a family for dive bar burgers and frustration at the swinging brass ring. It has changed a little over the years; first a larger back area, more pool tables, for a time there they had shuffle board and pinball. But really none of that matters. It is a burger joint and a REALLY good one at that. Simple but satisfying it starts with too small a grill for the volume so burgers are packed too close together, getting too hot and too smoky so the poor grill cook squints for days after, but the burger sears with a fantastic char and an even better faint smoky flavor. The burger buns don't seem special, but they go through so many so fast they never have a chance to stale. The lettuce is leaf, the tomatoes are red and the pickles have just the right snap. I hadn't been there in this century, over twenty years. I was actually a little afraid, nostalgia paints a much prettier picture than reality often does. I waxed poetic about my desire to return and would tell anyone who would listen long enough about the many nights swinging a brass ring at a wall, but really I was worried it could never live up. I recently visited and rolling down Indiantown I saw the Jupiter location and was elated. They've done fantastic in that tiny footprint, growth can be good and they deserve greatness. But really in my selfish way I was glad I could finally visit, go to a second location and if it disappoints I could hold my precious memory and deny that I am delusional. I shared my plan with my father who gave a loud guffaw and insisted we go to the original. He still visits with regularity and assured me I would not be disappointed. We arrived into the too small parking lot and squeezed into the too small space and strolled up the ramp to the dimly lit restaurant. As soon as the door opened I knew it was all going to be okay. Of course there was a wait. Of course the burgers came with chips or for a seriously long wait we could get fries (not enough grill space or fryer wells either) and of course it was simple perfection. They will never be a michelin guide darling, but for anyone who sits in the slightly sticky booth with a hefty perfect burger in front of them, there is no where better to visit in the world. Thank you to everyone there, although in my head they will be always stuck in the early 90s where the only feed back they get is shouted through a beer pitcher at the back of a ponytail. read more

From hero to zero.. Used to love this place, but yesterday we had the worst experience.. Put in an appetizer for 20 wings, about 10 minutes later put in an order for bacon cheeseburger and clam strips dinner.. About 35 minutes later the burger and clam strips arrived.. Ahead of the 20 wing appetizer.. Waitress was nice, did apologize and said they'll be out shortly.. Clam chips were hot along with the fries, the bacon cheeseburger and fries were straight up cold, not even lukewarm, just cold like it's just been sitting somewhere awhile.. After another 10 minutes the wings still hadn't arrived, so we just decided to cancel them and request the check.. We ate a couple of the clams, didn't touch that burger.. We left drove up to Flanigan's on Southern and had a great meal.. Completely the opposite experience that we had with Brass Ring.. read more

My boyfriend and I came here to watch the Panthers game tonight and got there at 740. He walked up to the server and asked to put his name in. Within 15 minutes, 5 more parties walked in and were standing around at the front. We told them they needed to put their name on the list, so they did. We joked to each other, must've got here at a good time! At 8:10, one of the guys who came in after us was called to an open booth. My boyfriend (who hates confrontation by the way) went up to the server and asked if she could tell us where we were at on the list. Here's where it gets bizarre. She immediately raised her voice, saying "all of these people were here before you!!" He said no, that's actually not true, the guy you just sat can verify we were here before him. The server doubled down and raised her voice higher, "he's been here a long time!!" Long story short, we didn't feel like being gaslit tonight so we just left. For one it was super crowded and I get it that's all fine but once u seat me don't rush me! Waitress rushed. Got my wine order wrong. We also got 5 waters. One cup was disgusting looking. I would have taken a pic but didn't want to be rude. After I asked the bartender for a different cup she got a WHOLE attitude and said "it's not dirty it's just stained". I said well I still want a different cup because the other cups at our table don't look like that. She gave me a cup with no other water to pour my water from the old cup to the new one.
