I ordered the Southwest chicken taco salad, which comes with their chili, and it genuinely hit the spot. I haven't had a taco salad in about 100 years and mixing it all together with the sour cream and pico was pure perfection. Just divine. My dining partner got the buffalo chicken salad and loved every bite too. Only regret is that I was so distracted by the storm show outside that I forgot to snap pictures! My family loves Dune Dog! We usually go enjoy the specials on Wednesday and get there early before the dinner crowd. It does get extremely busy! If you go at 3 or 4 you should be okay. I got the fish dinner and it was really good! It comes with two sides so I got waffle fries and black beans. The fish is also huge! You get two big pieces. I also tried the seltzer drink Nutrl. I got the watermelon and it was really good. The only disappointing thing is they only offer seltzers, beer, and wine. When I come to a place like this I love trying specialty cocktails and they don't offer any. They could make some really trendy ones. The service is always good and the food comes out quick! The cafe has been here for a long time and I popped in yesterday with my husband and kids to get dinner. We were able to get a table and got our order taken quickly. It didn't take long for our food to come out either. The Leroy Brown's junkyard dog was topped with the house chili, cheese, and Dot's sauce. I thought it was creative they named the hot dog over a song. We split an order of onion rings for a side as well and everything was good. Our waiter was attentive and the staff was helping out with making sure orders were coming in and out of the kitchen quickly. Visiting family in Jupiter and went back to an establishment that was once called Dune Dog Dave's and now just Dune Dogs! So happy this funky place has been able to be part of the fabric of Jupiter! We went at lunch time and it took about 15-20 minutes to get a table. Our server was very friendly and energetic and made the experience fun! We started with a couple of cerveza's (Salifish IPA & Michelob Ultra). Nice & cold and served in chilled pint glasses! I tried the lobster salad roll, which had some highs and lows. The split-top bun was easily the best part -- buttery, lightly toasted, and perfectly soft. Unfortunately, the lobster salad itself was overly heavy on the mayonnaise, which masked the natural sweetness of the lobster and the lobster itself was ground with no evidence of the lobster chunks. The sprinkle of shredded cheese on top felt like an odd afterthought and didn't do anything to elevate the flavor. The steamed clams in beer and onions were delicious and Dot's Pushcart Dog was spot on! The tomato sauce is super flavorful and the dog had the crunch that held up nicely! Still, if you're in the area and don't mind dining al fresco in the heat, Dune Dog's is worth a visit -- just maybe skip the lobster salad roll and give the hot dogs, fish, or lobster a try. Loved this place. Local flair and a great spot to bring friends visiting for a real old Florida experience. Perfect lunch stop after kayaking in the park. Had the Dolphin Sandwich. The menu is extensive, from "fancy" hot dogs to the best salads (the taco salad is always great) to local fish. My son had the dolphin (mahi mahi, not Flipper, by the way) and shrimp platter. A couple of us did the taco salad. My wife did the garden salad with garlic bread. The sides are all perfect: tasty Cole slaw, seasoned waffle fries, and steamed veggies are yummy. I got the fish and chips and the fish was HUMONGOUS. They did warn me on the menu. I need to know what seasoning was on the fries because that was SO GOOD. Idk if it was bay? I couldn't wait to see what they had to offer. I went for the fish (Swai) sandwich and waffle fries. It was fried to perfection. Never had Swai before but it was a white, flaky, moist fish. Could have been slightly more seasoned but overall it was hot and tasty. Tartar sauce wasn't bad either. Fries were decent too. BF had the black bean soup, footlong killer dog and corn on the cob. I saw an article about Dune Dog's famous Crispy Fish Sandwich which prompted me to try. I hadn't been there in a few years so I called my 2 buddies and I asked them if they wanted to go with me for a fish sandwich. One said "he couldn't" and the other said, "he wouldn't." Wait was short, service impeccable, and the best seafood trio of the whole week, that started in Key Largo and ended in Key West. First, we weren't expecting the trio to have 1/2 pound of grouper, 8 medium scallops and 12 shrimp. How can that be for $28? We both got it blackened. Our first stop after leaving the West Palm airport. We were ready for some seafood and relaxation after traveling all day. We decided to try the fried fish, it was a white fish but I cannot recall what the waitress called it. Fish was very good, fries were nothing special(mine were cold), and potato salad was ok I don't think it was made in house. We ordered water, which we shouldn't have. Had a rotten egg taste/smell. Just get some lemons and that will help! It was such a nice day outside for trying Dune Dog, especially since they only have outdoor seating. It is covered and they do have fans.
