Counter attendants are very friendly and efficient. Little to no waiting. Several choices for seating if you eat in. Booth, high table, regular table. They also have out door seating. Parking lot is small, you may need to park in back of the restaurant. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is served hot, made to order and good serving sizes. We kept seeing signs for this place while driving cross country along I-40 so we decided to stop and try one! I must say, the four cheese burger I had is one of the best fast food burgers I have ever had. It was delicious. My husband said his chicken tenders were just ok and my daughters kids meal was also just ok. Everything was quite greasy, but I liked it LOL We also tried some ice cream (the real reason we stopped!) and it was delicious! We had the Birthday Cake (she loved it and her blue mouth) and I had Peppermint which was amazing. Also very clean and large single stall bathrooms. Definitely a good fast food stop! read more

NO CONCERN FOR HYGIENE OR COVID! Ordered 2 junior shakes for my children, they accidentally made small. (Is is a .49 difference in price). After my daughter took the first one and went to sit down and start eating, they asked me to get it back from her because it was the wrong size. They took my other daughters out of her hand and put it back in the freezer THEN ASKED ME TO PAY FOR THE DIFFERENCE!! I didn't even know they gave the wrong size (had never been). I'm disgusted that they would take food from the customers table (without asking), and put it back in the freezer to serve to someone else. DO NOT EAT HERE! Very rude, also. read more

This place really needs some good management. We like the ice cream and burgers. But, they are so disorganized it's ridiculous. They are so messy, too. The company needs to pay them a surprise visit. I am normally a big Braun's fan but we stopped at this store on Friday evening on our way home from a softball game. It was raining so we decided to go through the drive thru. The line was moving really quickly and we got our food and got back on our way. I was driving and my wife took care of getting the food out and passed it to me I eat my fries first and they were good, fresh, crispy and hot. I took a drink of my coke and it was flat and watery. I think they must have been running low on syrup and CO2. I finished my fries, by which time we are back on the interstate and my wife passes me my jalapeño cheeseburger. It was barely warm. Thankfully the pattie was cooked but it was so cold the cheese slice on it had not melted at all. If I hadn't taken a bite out of it you could have taken the cheese slice off the burger, put it back in the pack it came out of and no one would have known, that's how cold the burger was. I can only assume the burger pattie was allowed to sit somewhere and cool before being assembled into the finished burger, then it was sold right away otherwise the heat lamps would have started to melt the cheese around the edges at least! If ice cream is rich, this stuff is loaded. I can attest to the cow's milk and cream content because my allergy is in full force, unlike the ice cream from most places. I'd never been in a Braum's location, even though I passed a number of them along I-40 in Arkansas and Oklahoma last August. I'd recently arrived in town and stopped at Catfish Hole first. I needed a walk after that. Then, I arrived here and was surprised that it wasn't just a place for ice cream, but that they had a dairy store and burgers and more. I ordered the White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake ice cream, one scoop in a cup. She rang it up and said $1.54. Wait, $1.54?!?!? Is that even possible? If I go to Häagen-Dazs or Baskin-Robbins, I'm at $3.00 easily. I don't know if the scoop was smaller but the taste was there, and it was good. read more

I love Braums! If you need groceries, fruit, veggies, late night dinner, afternoon lunch, or a cold treat, then COME HERE! Best fast food place in Alma or Van Buren for that matter. I dont eat fast food (havent had McDs in 5+ years) but Braums is as fast as you are gonna get without losing the quality of your meal. It is a local place and its good to see that they take pride in what they do. Give them a try! Normally I have good service when I come ti this Brahms but tonight we got up to the window and they had no idea what our order was and their was no car behind us. Then we had to sit there for ad least 10 min and one of the Sundays were completely over filled and the bananas weren't even cut up And their was barely any ice cream and it spilt everywhere. I just received one of the worst experiences I've ever had at this restaurant. Cold burger and fries even the chicken was cold, not cool but actually cold. It seemed like the fries were made 25-30 minutes before I got them. To matters worst the girl at the counter couldn't be bothered to go get the manager till I looked like I was going to lose my Pooh on her. My brother got 2 scoops of ice cream and I got a "Mix" with vanilla frozen yogurt and strawberries and it was delicious. Day three of our road trip to San Diego... stop 3. I was NOT hungry, nor was Sarah. We did not in any way NEED to be eating again after our huge lunch and "throwed rolls" at Lambert's Cafe in Sikeston, MO. However, it was getting late and I was getting sleepy behind the wheel. And when conversation, loud music, and rolling the window down on occasion doesn't help, one must resort to food. Truckers know it to be true, and that's good enough by me. Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store in Alma came just in time. Now Alma, Arkansas was my 1/3 home as a child. I spent about a third of the year on average in Alma with my grandparents, the second third in Grand Rapids, MI with my parents and attending school, and the final third of the year in and around the Austrian Alps. Alma's grown since my childhood, when there was just a Pizza Hut, this Braum's, a hardware slash auto repair store, and a community pool. Now there's hotels and motels, a bunch of fast food chains, and a Wal-Mart Supercenter. In addition to needing some food to prevent my dozing off behind the wheel and careening off the highway and into an Ozark hillside, I did want to show Sarah my boyhood 1/3 hometown. Braum's was what it always was to me. Great ice cream (they make their own in OK), good food (they've got burgers, dogs, chicken, etc.), and all the dairy you need for home. It's kind of like a Dairy Queen only with better ice cream, and a small market where you can get your bread, eggs, dairy, and a few other goods. An odd combo if you're not used to it, but it works! I had the 1/3 pound burger, fries, and a chocolate shake. Yum! On my fast food scale, it's between Dairy Queen and Hardee's. Here's how I view my fast food: 1. Wendy's 2. Hardee's 3. Braum's 4. Diary Queen 5. Taco Bell 6. Burger King 7. Arby's 8. McDonald's And so we have what I've never thought I'd do... rated fast food. But there it is, and Braum's rates in the top three for sure. Braums is always one of my favorite parts about visiting Arkansas! This one had very tasty food - both my husband and I got the #1 - both burgers were cooked how ordered with appropriate toppings. The fries were hot and crispy. Place was pretty busy so my one complaint was I wish they had more seating. They had a section devoted to tall tables with tall stools- these tables are hard to use if you are disabled, elderly or are short like me. Disappointing. Food came out cool. Hamburger toppings were slid off to side. 1 half crumbled piece of bacon. Fries undercooked and cool. We just asked for a refund. The manager Tammy was very pleasant and apologized and asked to make it right. She recooked our order and brought it to us.
