Stopped by Braum's on December 13 and had a very solid experience. The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and efficiently run. Staff was friendly, attentive, and kept things moving without feeling rushed. Food quality was exactly what you hope for -- fresh, hot, and well-prepared. The ice cream, of course, was a highlight: smooth, flavorful, and consistently excellent. Braum's does a great job at being dependable. You know what you're getting, and they deliver it well. Maybe my expectations were too high. The service was horrible. There was plenty of people behind the counter, but it seemed so unorganized. The sweet young lady that fixed my brownie sundae was amazing. She asked questions. She made suggestions. She was engaged and patient. BUT, once the ice cream was fixed and it was time to pay there was no one. Everyone walked away from the registers. I had to make a rude joke to get someone's attention and get rung up. Even then, he gave the impression of "Hurry up! I got other things to do!" There was no "Thank you, have a nice day." There was no "Sorry for the wait or inconvenience." He just rung our ice cream up and I paid. No offer of a receipt. He just walked away. My assumption from this encounter is maybe certain people should not frequent this location. Maybe I was treated this way because no one wanted me there. Maybe having three decades of customer relations and experience I expect too much. Definitely will not be back. read more

I have always liked Braum's soft ice cream on a waffle cone. When I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter I used to come here all the time to enjoy this treat. I really prefer soft ice cream than the regular kind. Plus I'm boring and love vanilla flavor. I really like it when I'm finishing the cone and it's borderline melting and I pop the last almost too big of a bite in my mouth and there's a burst of flavors. The best! The service is always great here and even if there is a line it moves fast and the wait is not long. The prices are fantastic as well. There's the convenience to get some food, then ice cream and then get a few grocery items to take home after you finish dining. Its very casual and family oriented. Perfect for a week night when you do not want to come home from work and cook. Definitely check it out! read more

This place not only incorrectly took my order 5 times but they didn't offer a receipt. When I pointed to their policy for a $5.00 giftcard when receipts aren't given written on the window, they told me to "hold on" and let me sit in the car for 8 minutes until they arrived with a new receipt. A great place to go if you like: 1) A place where every table is dirty. If you want a clean table you have to clean it yourself. 2) Hamburger meat that is cooked about an hour and a half before you arrive and put under a heat lamp that doesn't keep the meat warm. The meat would not even attempt to melt the cheese that was on top of it. 3) Kids running wild through the restaurant because there patents aren't watching them. 4). Orders called out that they are ready, but when you go to the pickup area, the malts are not ready. Braum's used to serve a decent burger, but the last few times I've been at three Mckinney locations I've left very disappointed. You can bet your bottom dollar that I won't be back. read more

Been here multiple times and the customer service is TERRIBLE. The salad at other locations is great but they give you old meat here. Also, I got to window to pay and the person at the window just stared at me and when I said hello, he just gave me my total. Lots of teenagers working here which is great for summer months but they're playing and joking instead of helping customers. I def think kids should be able to be kids but the rude service I've received 3 times in a week is management's fault. Do better management. I like to switch it up when we treat ourselves to fast food but Chick-fil-A's customer service continues to remain unmatched. Wish more fast food establishments learned from them. read more

Went through drive-through on Friday after realizing that Burger King has closed (My daughter likes the Impossible Burger at BK). Was in a rush. Asked if they offered a veggie burger or vegetarian option. They said "unfortunately no". I said "okay, then could I just get a burger-no meat w/cheese, lettuce, mustard, pickles and advocado?". The girl replied " Okay. What was that again?" I repeated my order. "So you want a number 1?". I responded "What's that?". She answered " It's a quarter-pound cheese burger meal". I said "Umm no. I don't think so. I only want.. (repeated my order). No meat. We are vegetarians." She said " Okay. Drive through"-but didn't sound very confident. I got to the pay window and notice I was charged for a 1/4 lb cheese burger plus guac. That's fine. I was in a rush and it is what it is. When I got to the window, the girl handed me the burger and said she was waiting on the shakes I'd ordered as well. I decided to check the "burger". It was mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. I got the girls attention and explained that the sandwich wasn't what I'd ordered. I repeated my order again -twice- and gave her the sandwich back. She took it and came back a minute later and handed me "burger". I opened it to look at it again. It was mayonnaise, cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. At this point- I'd repeated my order no less than 5 times. The girl in the window was glaring at me when I handed it back to her again. Repeated my order again. She takes it back and comes back a couple minutes later - it was a raw bun, raw cheese, lettuce, mustard, pickles, and guacamole that was smeared all over and falling off the burger. I took it since it was obviously the closest I was going to get despite paying extra for the cheese and avocado, and paying for a burger. She handed me the small shakes... They don't have lids for them. They place too big lids over the cups that were over-flowing and dripping all over and down the cups. I wiped them down and stuck them in my freezer when I got home. They still dropped all over my freezer. Anyway, not the best experience. Moral of the story: Braum's isn't vegetarian-friendly, but their limeades are the best! read more

Seriously. Was so excited for this store to open. A month or two after opening this store is horrible and dirty. . Food is not cooked right. The produce is out of date. I tried to get hamburger meat today and 2 of the 3 packages expired on 7.1..... today is the 5th. I informed the kid at the cash registered and he seemed to care less. The only thing I will purchase now is milk and honestly I'm kinda worried to even get that. Is is even kept at the right temperature before they stock it on the shelves? Something needs to change. First visit at the new Brahms! The food was good as expected but the restaurant was not clean. Trash was over flowing and tables/ floor were not clean. Trails and specks of food plus stains and spatters all over. Where were the employees? They were all in one area most of the time either behind the counter or close by. Horrible experience at this Braums! I will NEVER be going back here EVER again! I was waiting at the front to place an order for couple of sundaes/milkshake. There was one guy who was in front of me but couple of customers came after me and joined this guy. I was patient till they got served. I thought it would be my turn now. But the staff who took the order from these people just walked past me while I was trying to indicate that I am waiting. Overall there were 3 people who came and left without saying a word, not even a 'Just a min and someone will be there with you' while I was waiting holding the heavy bags I bought from the grocery section! A POSTPARTUM WOMAN lifting those heavy bags in the hopes of getting something to cool it off on a stressful day! They only added to the stress and I ended up getting back home livid and completely frustrated with the experience! STAY AWAY from here if you don't want to be met with the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Horrible experience! Several people behind the counter when I walked in. It took over 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me let alone take my order. I ordered a chocolate shake which I never received. Halfway through the meal I went to check on it. One of the employees said he would bring it to me but never did. The restaurant itself was filthy. Tables were dirty and didn't look like they had been wiped down. They only have booster seats...no high chairs! This made it difficult to eat there since I have a1-year-old.
