This past week saw some heavy snow bringing our city to a standstill. We tried twice to have our local Wally world deliver supplies in advance off the storm . Twice they delayed our orders for well after the snowmageddon. Walked over to Braums store and was able to find almost everything I needed with the help of Terry, the grocer extraordinaire. Terry is my favorite person to talk to and I always look forward to asking his advice on the wonderful and fresh groceries Braums carriers. The A1 milk is phenomenal. The night crew got everything wrong and wouldn't give my money back because my wife ate {it was dark} her old, orange-ish fries on the way home just to realize that the burgers were made 95% incorrectly. We actually had voiced our order three times, and specified that we needed a receipt, but left without one because how fucking insanely bad the service was going. Having driven back across town to ol' braums, when I went inside I raised my voice to the edgar-haired 19year old that mumbled through the order originally(the [very] first time), so the manager, Nathan threatened, and started calling the police without returning my $20.11. Their food is nothing special. Their service is unpredictable and the managers treat their employees like crap. Upon research I discovered this is pretty much the company culture. I ordered a Double Jr Cheeseburger Deluxe add jalapeños, I got a SINGLE Jr Cheeseburger without much "deluxe" to it!!! I took it back to the counter and asked if I had ordered the "double", the man said yea, handed the burger to the kid standing there and told him to add another price of meat!!!! It was a hotter day than I was expecting it to be for October 20th and I ate kind of a salty lunch of leftovers from a BBQ place so after I left Ace Hardware up the road I decided I was craving a small ice cream. I hadn't had one for a couple of months. Naturally, I headed for Braum's, my favorite, and ended up at this one since it was closest. I was going to get a small malt but when I saw they had pecan pie ice cream I decided to get one scoop of that instead. I always get the littlest scoop that's under $2 because that's plenty of sweetness for me and it saves me money and calories. I heard lots of happy chatter going on around me and everyone seemed happy here. I would not hesitate to stop at this location again. I just wish they would open a location in Arizona or San Diego close to me so I could keep having their little ice creams occasionally when I'm not in Amarillo. read more

Excellent hamburger and cheeseburger combos. Quarter pounder was more than enough, with all the fixings. My only complaint was that the burgers come with mayo only, but after adding mustard, it was excellent! Crinkle cut fries fine to perfection. Can't go wrong here! read more

I got myself in trouble for complaining about my cold cheeseburgers in the while ordering a bag of burgers with cheese. You're supposed to like cold slices of cheese on a cheeseburger and you're supposed to accept that the burger must not have been hot when it was placed in the bun with the cheese? Also, she mentioned my past history of complaints. I've only ever complained about the soft served yogurt that is never made correctly , the fact that I want hot melted cheese on a burger, and one time, asking an employee to put on clean gloves because I witnessed him touching his face and hair just before preparing my ice cream cone. Well, I am a disabled veteran, and I was just asking for my food to be served a standard way. I didn't want any trouble, I just feel like I should get what I pay for. After having been in Amarillo only a short while I had already been bitterly disappointed by McDonald's, Burger King, and Sonic. So one day I asked a Amarillo native where I could get a decent burger. I was energetically told there was no place better than Braum's. One day, with a friend in tow, I eagerly pulled up to the drive through speaker & ordered 2 bacon cheeseburgers. The meal was immediately ready at the window, which made me immediately suspicious of what lurked inside the bag. When we got home to my utter disappointment our burgers were cold lifeless patties with a slice of cold unmelted cheese on both. I think there might have been bacon but didn't look as I chunked the bag in the trash. I absolutely cannot believe there are no quality fast food places in Amarillo to get a decent hamburger. I think my next stop might be five guys. I'm not sure yet I'm going to trust any place in Amarillo. What in the H E double hockey sticks is going on in this desert wasteland? read more

The kid wouldn't put on gloves. He had his fingers all in the ice boat and tub. We abandoned the desert and we over heard another employee tell him that they are supposed wear gloves but that kid had real bad attitude and just walked off. The same kid kept messing with stuff and still no gloves. Okay, so I love braums-i do. But I have had issues the last two times ive been there. 1. I ordered a chocolate milkshake and when I finally got it and drove off drinking it, it was warm and melted completely. I didn't say anything because I figured "oh okay its a hot day whatever.." Well today 6/28/17 I ordered one and it was perfect, UNTIL I suck up something and im like okay ew.... I pull it out of my mouth and its some green clump of something.. lettuce?? I don't freaking know. but how gross you guys. I just wanted to inform you that your wonderful milkshakes are now questionable to me. Maybe this will be helpful? and maybe your workers can stop trying to make lettuce or unknown green substance milkshakes... $3.52 is for a milkshake that has floaties in it is not acceptable. Love the milkshakes here. Service is fast and great selection of milk and ice cream. Definitely an Amarillo favorite for me.

Really like to take my 2 year-old daughter here. Staff is great. As one might imagine, the place at times looks like it needs a hosing down after she's done slinging ice cream and chicken strips with gravy around. read more
