picked up drive tru order today at about 2:45. ordered spicy combo number 8 with strawberry shake and a yogurt in lieu of fries, the person at the either the order station or the pickup station told my wife we couldnt have a yogurt instead of fries. she insisted my wife take the fries. (i wasnt with her) so she came home with cold greasy fries which are now in the trash/ even worse tho was my spicy chicken patty tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for who knows how long (several hours i think). the bun was fine, tomato was fine but the chicken was petrified and really tough. so my no 8 combo netted me half a san, trashed fries, trashed half sandwich and no yogurt. the shake i got with the combo was good. i realize i ordered off peak hour but that shouldnt matter. the manager should ensure every customer gets a fresh sandwich. the value of my money is just as valid as person ordering during noon rush. if i had ordered dine in i would have immediately returned it for a fresh one. so at braums duncan okla, dont order take home at off peak hours or you may get hosed and waste your money. read more

Do NOT eat here! We were in town for a funeral and stopped to eat lunch. My husband went to get more Braum's sauce for his fries. When the employee took out the sauce pump to replace the bag, she dropped the pump on the floor. Instead of washing it or using a new one, she wiped it off with a napkin real quick and put it back in the sauce. I ordered four meals and a water. After I payed they said they didn't have any water cups and would not give me anything to drink out of. The ladies behind the counter were very rude to me and refused to give me a cup of any kind for water. Then when our food was ready they didn't have our two cherry limeades made. Took 5 minutes for someone to notice me. When I showed them the receipt and the lady sighed and rolled her eyes before walking off to make them. A burger had cheese when no cheese was ordered. We ordered two meals and asked for one sandwich to have no pickles. Once we got home and tasted that burger, we could tell it was way over cooked. It had burnt edges and tasted burnt. It also tasted strongly of pickle. Apparently they put them on, then realized it was no pickle and removed them. Of course the bun soaks up the pickle juice so you can't get rid of that taste. I didn't finish that. We are used to the fries there never being hot and fresh, but these fries were literally not finished cooking. They were very pale in color and you could taste the raw potato. I work nights and they serve ice cream when they open, everytime I order a sundae or cone I get attitude from the employees. I've had people 'huff' when at the speaker box, try to tell me that they don't serve ice cream on specific days even though just the week before I had ordered it on that day just fine. Their excuse was that the ice cream needs to "thaw" and "defrost". Even so much as when I'm driving off from the drive thru I hear some guy yell "Don't come back!" I get nothing but rudeness, I get uts early and you probably just woke up, but don't bring your attitude to work, this isn't even coming from the 'kids' working there. read more

Customer service here is terrible. Went through the drive through with no problem. Got home and saw that they gave us small fries instead of large, (no big deal, not a big mess up.) me and my husband had planned on sharing our fries with our kids so when we look in the bag and see smalls we're a little disappointed. So i call and let them know the mistake and ask if i need to bring said small fries back and was told that all i had to bring was the receipt for the 2 larges. (legally cannot take back food once it's crossed over into the customers hands but i ask anyway.) I send my husband up there so i can stay with our kids. He was greeted with nothing but attitude and still was only given 1 large fry because "2 smalls equal a large" so they said giving us 1 large was good enough. Then when asked for ranch he got told no and that it costs extra so we couldn't have even paid for it because we were not allowed. But the cook piled them on enough for 3 burgers. I live out of town so didn't turn around to go back. I hate onions and you can taste it on the rest of burger. I've been coming to Duncan for several years and each time I do I stop by Braum's for an ice cream. Not sure about the other food items as I think there are better places for food but the ice cream is very good. Low-end eating. My opinion is based entirely on having gone there for breakfast one morning. Blech. The 'Fresh Market' sign outside made it tempting, but the actual food offerings are no better than fast food. Had an egg & cheese biscuit (they were nice enough to leave off the meat when I asked. But I was given 2 options for cheese: even though I chose the alternate to American cheese, I still ended up with it.) Walking in, you can smell that icky fried food smell that can get stuck in your clothes and you smell it later. Made my stomach turn before I even got to the counter. We did take advantage of the market and bought some things for later that day. I think the concept is smart - one stop for a meal and your able to pick up some other things you might need from the store. However, if I never go there again, that will be fine. read more

First thing I do when I arrive in Oklahoma is grab a Braum's burger. Quality meat, bakery-fresh bun, and special sauce make for one tasty burger. Not gourmand burger, but a like In N Out in terms of high quality fast food that is actually edible and digestable. The fries are salty and starchy and still taste like potatoes -- they're good judging by they're always half-finished before you get home with the takeout. Food is fine for traditional fast food. But they have always had a problem with grill or fryer ventilation. As another reviewer mentioned, if you stay in the restaurant too long your clothes will reek. Sometimes there is even a haze in the air. The vent hood is either undersized or not installed correctly. One of my favorite places to eat is Braum's! But, I don't like how they are doing the menu's now, ie- all burgers now come with cheese. Yes, you can order them without cheese, but you still have to pay for it, but on the former menu you had the option of ordering with, or without, cheese, and if you ordered with it, you paid the extra charge for it. Also, the small deluxe burger deal comes with a shake only, and if you want to change it to a soft drink you are charged extra. I do love all of the burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads that I have gotten, I would just appreciate not having to pay for things I don't want. read more
