The middle of Oklahoma is not where one would expect to find fine dining, and this certainly was no exception. This is not a comment on rural salt of the earth people, but sophistication was was not in abundance here. The entrance had two sets of doors. Posted on the second door was a hand made sign advertising a flooring business. Maybe it was from family or a friend, but not expected. Walking in we seated ourselves. Atmosphere was calm and people seemed to be enjoying their dinner. My wife and I ordered steak and shrimp. We then went to the salad bar. It had iceberg lettuce and lots of standard fixxens. They also had corn muffins which I helped myself to several. The lettuce was fresh. The other side items were plentiful. The cornbread initially was sweet, but it had a mildly unpleasant almost chemical aftertaste. I would like to recommend using Martha White in the future. I ordered a steak cooked medium. I prefer medium rare, but my experience is my steak is either over cooked or under cooked. At medium, it can go either way and I can still enjoy it. My steak arrived medium well on one side and well done on the other. The mashed potatoes were good. I got 4 frozen fried shrimp. I did not expect fresh shrimp in the middle of the country, but the extra price for 4 shrimp was not worth it. It would have been nicer if the amount of potatoes was larger. They're cheap relatively to the prices being charged. My wife ordered hers to be medium rare and it was rare to medium rare. She had veggies that were average. Things I noticed. When we entered, I saw a server putting rolls in a to-go container with her bare hands. When they bus tables, instead of bringing out a tub, the roll out a dirty cart through the dining room. The prices are to much for what we received. The ticket was left with us when the food was delivered, where we had to take it to the cashier when leaving. They charge and additional 4% for plastic payments. Over all, it was pricey, hokey, and over rated. read more

dont expect much at desert. yrs ago they had a decent peach cobbler but at some point they switched to a cobbler with maybe 2 little preach slivers in it. and that is on the infrequent days they offer cobbler at all (maybe friday/sat nite only thing these days) as an alternative to cobbler they always have ice cream but it is low quality. as with the cobbler several years ago the ice cream used to be just fine. try their stew. imo, dont order the ham. chicken fried steak is sometimes very good but usually it is fried to smithereens. but i still eat there often when i dont want the drive to lawton. people are super nice, it is always very clean dining area. never tried the fried chicken. read more

Really enjoyed Wright's Family Steak House. Was out there for a golf retreat and wanted local grub. When we walked in, all heads turned so it was evident we weren't from there. Had a great server, enjoyed the salad bar, steaks and chicken fried steak, and peach cobbler. Great portions and left super happy! read more

I used to love this place, but they no longer take credit cards. They do now have an ATM there for tour benefit. And when they went back to taking credit cards, they pass in the charge to use the card on to the customer--rge only place I know that does that Plus, all of their plates have gone up by 2.00 plus or minus. We've been wanting to try this place since we've been here, but never quite managed to get there. My husband decided to go for our anniversary as there aren't a lot of options in Duncan and we've been to the rest pretty much. The server took our drink order and brought them out quickly. We then gave her our order and then went to get our salad on the salad bar. It was very clean and stocked. The salad was fresh and tasty. I probably could just go in and order that tbh. The food came out super fast and was really hot and good. The only issue was that I had ordered fries and they weren't cooked. We did go ahead and ask for them to be cooked longer. The service here is absolutely the best. The girls are very nice and you can tell they care. I came here alittle skeptical since it's in the middle of no where and in an odd shaped building. I ordered the 12oz ribeye with fries. The prior reviews were correct with the meats being alittle bit under seasoned. But at least they cooked it right. I love med rare when it's done right. They have a salad bar with sides and salads that you can munch on while you wait for your food. I really appreciated their hospitality and will come back if I'm ever in the area. :-) read more

Okay, this place is a gem. Super great value. Endless salad bar that includes pasta, green beans, and toppings of all kinds, and everything in between. The lettuce isn't super fresh or healthy, just iceberg, and I wish they included spinach or mixed greens. But sides on the salad bar are decent. Again, for the amount of food you get in a meal, it's a great deal! Chicken teriyaki is really good! Great steaks, good shrimp with a generous portion size. Roast beef not the best, so avoid that. Dinner meals include free rolls, unlimited salad bar, two sides, and meal includes super yummy peach cobbler and ice cream for dessert! Really good, especially for the value. You can tell this restaurant is a staple in the community. It was pretty busy at 6 pm on a Wednesday. The servers we interacted with were all great. We were greeted promptly, order taken shortly thereafter and food didn't take too long either. I like how they have a hot bar along with a salad bar. The fried okra was a nice option and so was the cabbage. I got the flame grilled shrimp for my entree with original seasoning. I kinda wish I would've gotten cajun instead, but it was still good. Your meal comes with a lot since you get a trip to the hot/salad bar, a side, rolls and dessert. That's simply unheard of in OKC. So the prices aren't cheap, but you get a lot for the money. Tried to find an open steakhouse near me for my husband's surprise small birthday party. Landed on this for those reasons alone. Will never go there again. The place was perhaps half full, and yet the waitress who sat us gushed over and over that there was only one cook and so there would be something of a wait. But she insisted that there was a salad bar and would get us our drinks so we decided it was not that big a deal. The salad bar was a huge disappointment! And as for the main meals, only two people actually chose steak, and their food was delivered cold. Very late and very cold. In town on business and I've seen this place on Yelp before but never knew where it was. Finally stumbled upon it and decided to go. Its a little out of the way from the main drag in Duncan but it was worth the trip. Its a unique setting and the decor doesn't look like much but the food and service was excellent. I thought the salad bar was good with plenty of options. I had the Ribeye which was very well cooked and had great flavor. To top it all off at the end of the meal, a nice scoop of ice cream that apparently came with the meal. Don't know if that's always the case but it was a nice treat. It's just outside Duncan. Outside looks like an old bar. Inside is an outdated circular dining area with older tables and heavy chairs. No booths and no privacy. This place could use some fixing up. Note to owner - Spend a buck! Menu: B By definition this is a steak house because steak in on the menu. The menu is not the problem here. Service: A Good service from attentive and friendly staff. Food and Value: C- We ordered ribeye and a fillet mignon. Dinners come with salad bar. Salad bar was very lacking. Soggy, cheap iceberg lettuce, over cooked veggies; a very cheap fare. Steaks lacked marbeling, and flavor. Cheaper cuts of meat. Only beer and sodas to drink. No wine. Very disappointing. Paid CA prices in rural OK. Ribeye was $25 for 12 oz. Fillet was $29 for 9 oz. Really? Summary Grade: C You can do much better at Applebee's for selection and quality of food and value. This place needs a total makeover. You're not getting a deal here. It's mediocre at best. This was recommended by a lady at the holiday inn. I love hole in the wall places to eat. This place was awful! The grilled pork chops where fried in a pan tough as hell. The fried pickles never made it something happened with them and the fryer? The mixed veg is where frozen then steamed not cut fresh and was somewhat cold.
