This is another twilight zone situation for me because I absolutely know that I have reviewed this Braum's before and I also know that I've posted pictures of it. Yet none of them show up so here I am again. I have come here no less than 100 times because it is on a common path for me and I love Braum's. To me it's a great concept because you can get several small items groceries and of course ice cream or even hamburgers! The other big advantage is that if Braums produces it, it's some of the best that you will get whether it's a french fry and ice cream a hamburger or anything else! Braum's also is very good at hiring great people! The customer service here is fantastic, which is a reflection of good folks, and good management! On this particular trip, I found myself a few items short in the pantry. I've been able to cook some of the things I am cooking for Thanksgiving. This long-running Braums has ice cream, burgers, and a little market for quick grocer needs. I was helped immediately at the ice cream station. For about $5-6 you can get a scoop or an ice cream Sunday if any available flavor. The ice cream was good but not exceptional. Probably about the level of grocery store or a bit better. The flavors, however, provided a lot of variety. On the Sunday, you can add nuts and cherries along with cream. A great deal. The tables were mostly clean but sometimes took some time for them to service. Overall, for the price and location, it makes a fun and nostalgic stop for children and adults! read more

Great ice cream treat after long hard day. Tiki Hubby and I tried one of there New Mexican inspired 2 scoop sundaes. We went with the cheesecake sopapilla as the only one we could pronounce. Made the mistake of going through the drive-thru. I told them to give us a sec to see what my family and I wanted to order. When we were ready they didn't answer for 20 minutes only for them to lie to us telling us that the rocky road was soft when in fact it wasn't. Braum's is a staple place in Texas, you will spot them up and down the sides of the freeway as you travel through the state, I had to try their ice cream. Their ice cream selection is definitely grand, there are so many toppings and syrups to choose from so you can't go wrong. Their French fries are crinkle cut and deep fried which was an added bonus. Ahh memories of my junior high days. The location had food, ice cream & a mini market. When it was our turn, I asked the guy if all the ice cream had milk. He said oh not the sherbets which didn't sound right to me. My nephew is allergic to milk and can only have sorbets. Luckily there was a more seasoned lady around and we asked her and she said "all Braum's ice cream has milk" We still got my nephew a kids orange sherbet, sister got 1 scoop cappuccino chip and I got a double of peppermint since it's out already! Outta the corner of my eye, I see a sign with a "B" in the blue and pink colors of Baskin Robbins and think "Oh Baskin Robbins, I want some ice cream!" So I walk in to an enormous seating area and find it's not BR, but a place I've never heard of that has ice cream, burgers... and groceries?! Not being ones to walk away from ice cream, we got a scoop of cookies and cream and a scoop of peanut butter cup. This is my location of choice even if it's out of my way distance wise as opposed to the god-awful Greenville location. My favorite desserts to order are the Banana Split and the Frozen Yogurt Twist (chocolate and vanilla) in a cone. It's cheap ice cream, very traditional and good flavors, and it beats paying 6 dollars for 2 scoops of ice cream at the other places (Ben and Jerry's, Baskin Robbins, etc). The butterfat cream content is just as good as the high end ice creams like Haagen Daaz, and it's a fraction of the price. I've been going to Braums ever since i was a wee one, parents would always take us after church. It's probably why i'm going to end up with type 2 diabetes in the future. So many bemoaning the lose of Blue Bell Ice Cream when Braum's is the bomb! There aren't too many commercially made ice creams that you can find in the grocery store that top Braum's in my opinion, and the fact that I can come and get a sundae that I really like on occasion and not have the temptation in my freezer is even better.
