(Funny thing is Tomer and his team has never once asked for a review, because they get all of their business through referrals from past clients and they're actually more popular on Houzz) Anyhoo, Tomer is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and his team is great! When our house construction hit a point where no end was in sight, I reached out to Tomer to see if he could complete the building and get us in the house. He came through with flying colors! I so wished that I had gone with him in the beginning when we were building our house. There's simply too many things to go through in this review, so I will just give an example of what kind of builder he is and what kind of relationship he has with his subs. We met with him one evening at 7:30PM and said that we'd like to get a locksmith to rekey all the locks in the house. He had a locksmith at the site the very next morning at 7:50AM (who drove out all the way from the valley, for those of you who don't know where the valley is to the beach it's over an hour's drive). And the guy was fast, very professional and gave us some very helpful tips! It's not just the locksmith. The electrician that works with Tomer is also amazing, we had a bubble ball chandelier that we wanted to drop down at various points and Tomer's electrician was very patient and meticulous with working with us on getting the exact height that we wanted along with getting the curvature of the track where the bubble balls would be hanging from to be just perfect. We found Tomer's pricing and billing to be more than fair (he's not going to the the cheapest GC you will come across) but his price is on par with the kind of work that he delivers and the projects that he works on. The thing about Tomer is that when we were in talks with him we asked for references and he actually put us in contact with his current and past clients who thenopened up their homes to us so that we can see his work. I can honestly say that out of all the contractors that we have contacted no one had past clients who offered to show us their house after they have moved in or was currently working with. When our house was done and he was bidding on some projects, we of course found ourselves on the other side of the table and was more than happy and willing to open up our house for his future clients. This is the kind of relationship that Tomer has with his team, his subs and his clients. My husband and I will be forever grateful that Tomer and his team came to rescue us during our construction nightmare! Cheers!

He found the identical flooring for us even though the existing flooring was no longer being manufactured. Check out the picture looking into the bedroom... the flooring before the entrance is the old flooring, and the flooring inside the bedroom was the new flooring, and it was installed continuously even though the new flooring was slightly thinner than the original panels. I recently bought a 2-story house with high ceilings. The seller had an eclectic taste and had odd,…read moredark colors in almost every room. The stairway had been done poorly. Re-painting the entire house was going to be a big job. I called four of the top-rated painters on Yelp. All four responded. Only Steve gave me a sense that he was trustworthy. He responded the quickest, followed through the most (the others were hit-and-miss), and even called on his birthday, which was supposed to be his day off. His bid was the lowest, but I had a strong feeling that he wasn't going to add on crap after the contract to bump up the cost. I also never got a sense that he'd ditch me for a pricier job. During his estimate walk-through, he was very clear about what paint he typically used, the sheen, and what the extras would be. Even better, I had control of the paint brand and extras. He also helped me pick paint for almost two hours and this was before I hired him. He was very patient. I wanted to get it over with and did not want to see the thick, paint chip catalog anymore. He didn't let me slack because I'd have to live with the decision for a long time. Although I did accept his recommendation for one color, all others were my choice (with a lot of guidance). He didn't try to push me paint that he already had in stock. Steve, who is a working contractor, got to work immediately. My house closed at noon. He was already there, ready to patch, prep, and primer. The next day, he had his associate, Tom, working along. I told them to take their time because I wasn't moving in any time soon. The job took a total of 4 1/2 days; many of the rooms required multiple coats and the front room - the one that had the darkest and ugliest colors - is big and high. Their extra care is evident in every room. Steve also touched up for free a lot of areas that weren't included in the contract. The lines are all clean. No splatter or splotches. The fee quoted at the estimate was exactly what I paid. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with Steve. He's genuinely nice and easy-going. My mother dropped by to check out house because she was in the area. I was at the office, but Steve let her in and took her on a tour. Also, I had the carpets cleaned on the last day of painting. I was stuck in court when the cleaner arrived, but Steve helped out by letting the guy into the garage, which requires a separate key. Steve had the full set of house keys for the entire duration. I had nothing to worry about. I've been walking around in a daze for the past two days because the house is just so beautiful thanks to Steve and Tom. I'm including some before-and-after pics; you'll see the transformation. I can't recommend Steve Roddey Painting enough. I'll be working with him again.

They made a TV stand, a coffee table, a bed frame, and two bedside tables. Within the first month the wood had split in half at the base of the bedside tables. The bedframe broke The dining room coffee table was doing fine as was the TV stand. Since I do not furnish homes for a living I can not speak to whether their price point was reasonable or not but what I can tell you is that if something I buy breaks from normal daily use within a month it seems like it was made poorly. The process was seamless and fun, with Josh taking the time to come by apartment, take measurements and brainstorm ideas with me. He took my ideas about what I wanted, while also offering his own suggestions, and the end result is a product I'm still in love with to this day.
