I came to town for work, traveling superintendent working for a reputable contractor with over 30…read moreyears in this town. 6 months with no issues, and a woman(employee of park whom all live on site) decided to walk into the men's bathroom and confront my son by banging on shower stall door and inquire if he was homeless. He was timid like most kids, and did not tell her off as I would have, but he complied with orders to remove himself from the shower stall in a towel, and then she wanted him to walk outside to prove he lived in the spot he said he did by arming his car alarm. He pointed our spot within 200 feet of the bathroom, laundry, and office facilities for the last 6 months but that wasn't enough. Then she simply walked away without any apology or anything said further, leaving a kid in his towel standing there alone and lost as to what he did wrong. He had taken a shower every night in there so he should be known by all staff. I was out of town, or this would have been handled differently, considering the adult I am. She only confronted my son, once he was alone in bathroom, so I feel like he was targeted, because the bathroom was not empty a minute prior to this. Considering all this, and the fact I pay near $1200 to be here, and the QRV corporate people decided to reprimand her and not do anything for is, besides email apologizing and excusing her behavior in what ways worked for them. My favorite part, was corporate kid(Nick) I can only assume kid, because he thought he had the right how to tell me to act or react in this situation. I'm a father of 8, and I'll react how I see fit, and he learned that.

My husband and I have been full-timers here for the last 2+ years and we love living here. We…read morelooked at a dozen places from Pleasanton to San Antonio to New Braunfels and we definitely picked the right spot. I'm told that Nancy opened the park about five years ago and there are some who have been here from the beginning and I love that about the place. You just won't want to leave unless you have to. Nancy also offers several spots for those traveling through for only days or weeks. If you appreciate the outdoors and peace and quiet, this is your place. Last night I fell asleep to the owls communicating. There is a family of foxes that make appearances from time to time and a roadrunner that lives around here. Nancy has cattle in the pasture that roam nearby. My bird feeders are overwhelmed year round and it's hard to keep up with the hummingbirds from April to October. Who needs amenities when you have nature? For exercise we walk the long driveway, the park roads, or the pasture. We are only 25 minutes from San Antonio and grateful to be living out of the city, yet close enough to go when needed. You won't find trashy trailers here or loud partiers. There are some rules and that too is why we love it. I noticed there weren't any updated posts and I hope this helps others to consider this piece of paradise. PS...I have no shortage of beautiful sunset pics but these are my favorites.
