The final nail in the coffin was prior to checking out I told Roz, the owner/manager that I wanted…read moreto give her notice that I was leaving to have repairs made to my RV and that my departure date was uncertain as I was waiting on the RV Repair center to give me an exact date. The repairs were expected to take up to a month or more. The LRRVR Contract for long-term rental states that 30 days notice must be given prior to your departure or your security deposit will be forfeited. I explained the situation to Roz and she told me not to worry at all about the 30 day notice, that because I had been a good guest she would waive that requirement, but to just give her notice as soon as I had an exact date. Well, about a month later, the RV repair shop called and gave me a shop date of about a week out. I immediately told Roz. She again stated to me that it was no problem-and that she already had someone lined up to take my spot. Well, here's the short: I ask for my security deposit after I checked out and Roz refused, stating I didn't give her a 30-day day notice. I'm like what!? You had previously told me you would waive it. However, she said it didn't matter whatever she had told me, the contract states 'thirty days notice', therefore she was keeping my security deposit. That's just downright deceptive, raw, and dead wrong. As my previous review points out, the con's outweigh the pro's. It's too bad because the Lost Resort RV Ranch Park could have been made into a gem, but cutting corners and cheating people never works out in the long run. Finally, there are just much better places to stay, and mean dishonest people, they really suck.

Pros of the park: laundry, vending machines, pool, 2 bathhouses, recreation area, pickleball court, level cement sites, pet area, super close to sea world with a shuttle offered, awesome staff. Cons: hot water in showers runs out fast and if someone was in there before you there might not be hot water at all. Trash blows around A LOT and the lawn care people make it worse. Overall, we really enjoyed our month stay and highly recommend this campground.

But I feel where it's at right now, it great. Everyone at the front is super friendly. Got to our space which is pretty much spot on side to side level. The flow is good, can be a pain coming back from a day out having to drive the rows to get back to your site, but it's not that terrible. Proximity: 10 minutes from Sea World (which I hate the business as a whole and vehemently disagree with their business) and 25 without traffic from six flags. The closest nice campground six flags, might I add. They have a playground, a pool, and a dog playground area. Overall, really dig this place.

I have stayed in vacation rental cabins in other locations, and they can be very hit or miss, but my cabin at this park was tops! It was spacious enough for 1-2 people, and it was very very clean. It had everything I needed to cook a meal, including a full size stove (with an oven!) and refrigerator. There were TVs in the living room and bedroom with many cable channel choices. The shower had awesome water pressure and plenty of hot water, and it was cleaner than most hotels I've stayed in. I also got to take advantage of some of the amenities. There is a lovely above-ground hot tub next to the pool area, and it was the perfect way to relax at the end of the day. I also was able to do all my laundry before going home in the laundry room, which was clean and HUGE! They even have a little library there if you're looking for some reading material during the stay. Again, service was top notch! Norma continues to be an amazing person, and her staff, including Eva and Chris, are really kind and always there to help if you need anything.
