‼AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST‼
Extremely disappointing and exhausting application experience.
Over the course of TWO WEEKS, I submitted every document requested by this property, only to continuously be met with additional requirements afterward. After providing multiple verification documents, I was then asked for additional financial documentation, then additional verification again, then notarized documents -- including notarized W-2 paperwork, which I have personally never encountered during any prior apartment application process.
For a $2,700/month apartment, I was told I needed to show approximately $118,000 in liquid cash reserves. I provided proof of an account containing more than that amount, added an additional leaseholder to further strengthen the application, and still continued being pushed through endless rounds of document requests with little transparency or urgency from the leasing team.
The most frustrating part was the communication. Nearly every update required ME to follow up first. I was repeatedly told I would receive an answer "by the end of the day," only for days to pass with no communication unless I personally reached out again. At one point, I even had to call from a different phone number just to get a response.
Then, after all of this, the property chose to send my denial at 6:07 PM the evening before my scheduled move-in date -- despite being fully aware that my current lease was ending Friday, May 22nd. After two weeks of collecting documents, repeated reassurances, and continued requests for more information, I was given essentially no time to make alternative arrangements before having to vacate my current home.
To make matters worse, the denial cited income and credit concerns, despite the screening report itself showing my credit information had already been retrieved much earlier in the process. If my credit or income were truly disqualifying factors, that should have been communicated from the beginning instead of after weeks of delays, additional expenses, and repeated requests for more documentation.
I have no eviction history, no late rental history, and provided extensive financial documentation throughout the process. This experience felt incredibly disorganized, unnecessarily stressful, and inconsiderate of the fact that applicants are making real-life moving decisions, spending significant money during these processes, and coordinating timelines around the information being provided by leasing staff.
As a result of how poorly this process was handled, I am now left scrambling to secure storage, make temporary arrangements, and absorb additional unexpected expenses that could have potentially been avoided with honest communication and timely decision-making. read more
