They gave me a breathing treatment, anabiotic, cough suppressant, and steroid inhaler and said I had bronchitis. Also the lady at the little clinic had a Google absolutely everything. Did not feel like I was in good hands at all. Please do not go here.

I want to recognize someone that was extraordinary and went out of his way to help me. I will NEVER forget Mike Kenney-in security! I had just found out my father was having emergency surgery. I raced to the hospital. My dad was waiting in a room at the er. He was going to Pre Op. Mr. Kenney hustled me back to the room-and I was sad to see the bed was gone. He had been taken to pre op. Mr. Kenney could tell I was upset bc I didn't get to see my elderly dad before he went to emergency surgery. He quickly advised me the fastest way to see him. I know this doesn't seem like a lot-but I am forever grateful bc I got to spend time with him right before surgery. I was also there to support my mom who was very worried. If it weren't for Mike-I wouldn't have been there for my mom or got to hug my dad. I am forever grateful. He didn't have to go out of his way to help me. I saw the amazing Mike several days to follow. He is excellent at his job and truly cares about patients and their family! MIKE KENNEY-you deserve a million stars! I am forever grateful! I will say not all staff will fall in this category but unfortunately the one nurse on the 4th floor, Pavilion 2 orthopedic unit RUDE!!! There's no reason to come into work with an attitude when your patients and their family members are helping with their recovery. Thank goodness she wasn't his nurse just a rude one at the nurses station. They always say family is a part of a patients care and the only thing I inquired about was someone to come and clean a restroom because housekeeping wasn't there yesterday and he didn't want to sit on it. If you know you know how some meds will do you. But that nurse stood out the most for her rudeness. I get it, we're all stressed but don't be rude for an already stressful situation. But the other staff I found to be nice and accommodating and made sure I was comfortable knowing I was staying with my family member. Thank you to the staff that showed up to their jobs as professionals. What I've learned, you can't be a voice for the patient and leave the morning crew alone. Terrible!!! UPDATE: My family member wanted me to make sure to give a special thank you to Ms. Teresa in housekeeping, even she stated if the bathroom ever looks like that again to call her. She gave us her card with the number. Also there were a couple of male nurses John and I forget the really tall male nurse that helped him out of bed and the other male nurse that got me a warm blanket and checked vitals. This is the type of professionalism that we look for in nursing. So the nurses that took care of my family member on July 18th! Thank you. July 19th is when he started complaining about his care.

Wanted to start the process for hip repair or replacement. Nurse Halley was very nice and considerate taking my info. She attempted to make an appointment and said there seems to be a problem and transferred me to Garrett an account specialist. He informed me I have been deleted as a patient because it has been over 3 years since I have seen Dr.Michael Bryan June 2020 actually 3 years and 6 months for COVID testing. I said to him I'm in my portal and I see over 250 lab results and over 300 physician summaries since Aug of 2005. I've been a patient over 17 years. He said he was sorry and there is nothing he can do. He then sent me to his supervisor Kassie. She said she was sorry that I was deleted from Mayo and they are not taking any new patients. I said I'm not a new patient. I said to her when I was working we were told years ago to establish a family Mayo physician with Dr. Michael Bryan so when you retire your grandfathered in for life. No body ever said to me to make sure you go in once a year to keep current. I have a portal and I read my messages. Why did I not get some reminder to come in as my 3 year inactivity would cause account deletion infact the most recent mail I have is from Carol Carrillo dated 09/28/2022 to make sure I have regular Medicare and a supplement and that Mayo does not take Advantage Medicare . I asked Kassie to speak to another supervisor and she was sorry and implied she was it. Times are changing, we are being canceled and slowly erased from existence. Retirement is not what I thought it would be.

Decided to pop in here and drop a thank you to Dr. Nancy Harris, who was not my OB-GYN initially (I…read morego to Dr. Andrew Carter), but who partnered with my OB and was the doctor on call during my delivery at Honor Health Shea. I'm an emergency physician, and I knew things were progressing a little fast when I suddenly and unexpectedly blasted from 3 cm to 10 cm and crowning over the period of 3 hours during an induction. Dr. Harris was promptly there and her chill manner made the entire experience very relaxing for everyone involved. She even let my non-medical husband do the actual delivery - and the delivery went so smoothly that my own OB cleared me to jump back on the Peloton immediately (I gave it a week). I met with Dr. Ketha who said we could check for hormone levels to make sure they were progressing normally, and addressed my concerns. So far, every person from the receptionist, PA, and Dr have been so empathetic to how stressful pregnancy can be for a 37 yr old. They've addressed my concerns and really made me feel comfortable and less anxious. I'm so glad that I found this office during my time of need. 2nd review... I'm still very pleased with this OB clinic and their commitment to serve their patients. Minimal wait times always. Dr. Ketha only delivers at Honor Health Sonoran. Their facilities are new and clean and the staff was so great! The tour was very informative and really put my doubts at ease. They ask you about your birthing plan and leave options open for medication. I trusted both my nurses and decided last minute when pain was at an 8 to take the epidural. I was so pleased with my whole birthing experience. They were so understanding and supportive of what I wanted and needed every minute. Great communication throughout. Dr Ketha came in and delivered my baby girl safely! So grateful for all her guidance and expertise during this time.

I will tell you that during this long stay, we interacted with dozens of different teams. And this was an overall good experience. From the security people, nurses, techs, doctors, cafe staff, and even the cleaning crew- we were treated respectfully and everyone communicated with us. And these doctors took the time to really explain what was happening. I know from stays at other hospitals that family is often left in the dark about how and what needs to be done, but they have all been very transparent and ensure we know what they know.

The RN assigned to us was somewhat polite, but when we asked for water for the patient, we were told we could get it ourselves rather than being assisted. I also did not observe the IV port being sanitized before medication was administered, and a green disinfecting cap was not placed on the IV afterward. In addition, the pads the patient was lying on had visible blood on them and were not changed. I ended up removing the soiled pad from underneath her myself. These are basic cleanliness and sanitation practices that are important in a hospital setting. The experience left me feeling like I had to closely watch the care being provided to make sure things were being done properly. I hope hospital leadership or patient relations reviews this feedback and reinforces proper care standards for future patients.

I am very disappointed in the care our family received at north mountain. This is our second stay…read more My aunt was admitted after a hospitalization. It ended up being an extended stay. Upon discharge the coordinator Rachel did not have our paperwork ready and needed extended time doing so. When I went to pick her up after an email stating I would be there, the paperwork was not complete. At the nurses station the head nurse told me that she has a uti. It is standard practice to keep a patient until medically cleared. I was shown her labs, which clearly showed a uti. I was told to leave and come back between 5 and 6 in the evening. I did and the nurse changed what she had said per the doctor. Stating that it was contamination not a uti. Even though my aunt said it was burning when she urinated and that her back hurt. I took her home and she still said she was having the discomfort. I told her that the doctor said she didn't. She has dementia and developed a severe altered mental status, incontinence, and back pain that became unbearable. We ended up at the ER where she is now with a UTI. North mountain is supposedly the #1 rehab and skilled nursing facility in the valley. I would beg to differ. I emailed the coordinators at north mountain about this with one of them requesting that Rachel reach out to me in regards to our experience. I have yet to hear from anyone. Think twice before choosing them for your loved one.
