    Hot and iced lattes

I stopped by here a number of Saturdays ago with my wife and twins for our morning coffee. Every weekend we try to hit up a new coffee shop, and on this day we happened to be near The Brave Bean and decided to head on over. My son was instantly drawn to this shop because of the murals of trains painted on the inside and outside. The layout is a bit unusual, with the coffee roasting area (including a large roaster) off to the right and a narrow section to the left where you order and can sit down. They also had a couple of display cases full of baked goods, and my favorite part was that since this used to be a bank, you can actually go into the vault in the back and play around with the old safety deposit boxes. For my coffee on this morning, I decided to go with a hot Bee Happy Latte while my wife went with Milo's Favorite. That meant my latte was made with lavender and honey while my wife's was pistachio flavored. My latte here ended up being really good, as the lavender was noticeable but subtle, and the honey added just the right amount of sweetness. What I really enjoyed, though, was the espresso as you could tell the beans were freshly roasted, and it gave the coffee a strong, delicious flavor. My wife was also a fan of her drink and especially liked the pistachio in hers. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our coffee, and I loved that you could tell the beans were freshly roasted.

What a unique place with great coffee! Great service with friendly staff. Be sure to check out the old bank vault in the back. This is a trendy coffee shop that is honoring to our military. Prayers that this owner is able to accomplish all that has been envisioned!

They roast the beans in house and the smell hits you the second you walk in the door! Today I opted for a S'mores Cold Brew. It was so good but not overly sweet or artificial tasting. The customer service was incredible!

I had no idea it was in an old bank and I thought it was very nostalgic, but still modern.

I am not from, nor did I typically frequent, this side of town, so I have been enjoying trying a lot of new spots! One of those was Aroma Joe's. I visited here early on a Thursday morning on my way into work. This shop is located a little bit off of William Penn Highway, so it is close to a main road without the main road traffic. They have their own parking lot, and it is very easy to go in and out of the lot. When I stopped, it was not too busy yet. I decided to walk up and order at the window, since I had never been before. You can either order at the window or go through the drive-thru. The girl who took my order was very friendly and helpful. She gave me some information about the business, and gave me details on their menu and flavoring options. I was even offered a paper menu to take with me for future visits when I told her it was my first time visiting. Overall, she gave great customer service! Eventually, I decided on on the 24 Ounce Paris Toast signature latte with skim milk. Typically with any coffee drink with flavoring, I request it to be half sweet just solely based on personal preference. The accommodated the request for me with no problem. My drink was ready for me before I was even finished paying, so speed of service is superb. I enjoyed my drink very much! I plan to frequent there more, since I will be in this area of town more for at least the near future. I hope to try some of their seasonal offerings, and potentially some food items in the future. My only suggestion would be for the company to consider different options for their breakfast sandwiches. From what I was told, I believe they are premade, so you cannot switch out the bread the sandwiches come on. I know this goes beyond this location, but I would be more inclined to order something like that if I could choose my preferred meat and bread combination. Overall, I very much enjoyed this first visit to Aroma Joe's. The atmosphere, staff, and product are all great here. The customer service alone would have be coming back for another trip. I would highly recommend a stop here if you are in the Monroeville area looking for a coffee drink!

This coffee shop is located in Homestead right on East 8th Avenue, and the inside is massive. The space features exposed brick throughout with plenty of seating, including a large number of tables and a sofa as well. Near the counter where you order, they had several baked goods displayed under cloches, along with a small area filled with a variety of cacti. For my coffee this morning, I went with a brown sugar latte while my wife chose a mocha. My son picked a banana, which was surprisingly free, and my daughter went with an apple danish. During the entire time we were there, we were the only people in the shop, and the two employees working were incredibly friendly. My coffee ended up tasting really good. The brown sugar added some sweetness while still allowing the coffee to shine through. It was deep and rich, and honestly had more coffee flavor than most lattes I have had in a while. My wife also enjoyed her coffee, and my twins were happy with what they ordered. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My family enjoyed everything about this place, from the look of the space to the friendly staff, and especially the coffee.

The place itself is lovely, very clean, lots of open space, and lovely staff. I got to try their classic latte with skim milk (I think, or some plant based milk) and my friend had their super fruit tea. I regret not being a bit more adventurous with my order, but it was a very solid latte nonetheless. Great portion, great art, very creamy despite it not being whole milk. My friend was a little disappointed with their fruit tea. Portion seemed to be noticeably smaller by a good bit. There was an option to sweeten it that they opted not to do and probably should have done! All in all, very nice spot in Homestead. There's even a little place to get water. Definitely recommend this coffee shop.
