I am not from, nor did I typically frequent, this side of town, so I have been enjoying trying a lot of new spots! One of those was Aroma Joe's. I visited here early on a Thursday morning on my way into work. This shop is located a little bit off of William Penn Highway, so it is close to a main road without the main road traffic. They have their own parking lot, and it is very easy to go in and out of the lot. When I stopped, it was not too busy yet. I decided to walk up and order at the window, since I had never been before. You can either order at the window or go through the drive-thru. The girl who took my order was very friendly and helpful. She gave me some information about the business, and gave me details on their menu and flavoring options. I was even offered a paper menu to take with me for future visits when I told her it was my first time visiting. Overall, she gave great customer service! Eventually, I decided on on the 24 Ounce Paris Toast signature latte with skim milk. Typically with any coffee drink with flavoring, I request it to be half sweet just solely based on personal preference. The accommodated the request for me with no problem. My drink was ready for me before I was even finished paying, so speed of service is superb. I enjoyed my drink very much! I plan to frequent there more, since I will be in this area of town more for at least the near future. I hope to try some of their seasonal offerings, and potentially some food items in the future. My only suggestion would be for the company to consider different options for their breakfast sandwiches. From what I was told, I believe they are premade, so you cannot switch out the bread the sandwiches come on. I know this goes beyond this location, but I would be more inclined to order something like that if I could choose my preferred meat and bread combination. Overall, I very much enjoyed this first visit to Aroma Joe's. The atmosphere, staff, and product are all great here. The customer service alone would have be coming back for another trip. I would highly recommend a stop here if you are in the Monroeville area looking for a coffee drink!

The drink menu is extensive and full of fun. We went with friends and grabbed Dirty Cherry Pop Lotus Energy Drink, Oatmilk Cold Brew, and Oatmilk Chai Latte. The drinks are so flavorful and fun to sip on! We also grabbed food - a croffle should be more recognized. Croissant waffles rival the popular cronut - croissant donut. We grabbed a Ham and Cheese Croffle and a Cookie Butter Croffle. Everything was made quick even with a large line for the entire time that we were there! The interior is gorgeous. Murals on the walls, photo booth ready in the corner, different size and types of tables and chairs, open air to the back patio with tables right on the bike trail. Again, it looked great in pictures, but for $20, it was...meh......just okay. Not horrible, just not something I'd go out of my way for again. I felt as if I was being interrogated and I have given this Aroma Joes a lot of business. Unfortunately after the experience I have had I will not be returning as there are many other coffee places who will give free water and will not make the customer feel as if they are being interrogated again - over a cup of water.

Brave Bean is. great shop right on Broadway (Pitcarin's main street). They have a convenient drive through and there is also street parking. They have. fairly standard coffee shop menu plus they always have fun seasonal specials. Yes things like peppermint mocha and pumpkin spice latte, but also firecracker latte for patriotic holidays. They have a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches as well. They taste fresh and are a nice size. Staff is friendly, informative and attentive. They are great at helping you make decisions if you are stuck on what to get or might not be a regular coffee drinker. A real gem of a place I am happy to have nearby.

So if you opt to go inside, they turn the names on the receipts towards them so you can't see the names but then the entire staff avoids making any eye contact with you at all so you have to like lean over the counter and turn everyone's stuff around. , Also, if you order donuts, they are never ready with your coffee at the counter, so you may be able to find your coffee order, however, the donuts that you've already paid for are not there, and back to the no eye contact thing, you can't get anyone's attention so someone can grab your donuts. I've been coming to this DD for years, I'm not sure why it's gotten so crazy
