I'm not a patient nor will I ever be. The staff obviously think they are above everyone. I was met in the parking lot by an employee because I parked in the spot they were parked in before lunch. It is not posted anywhere in the parking lot that there are assigned parking spots for certain businesses. From one professional to another another this was very unprofessional. read more

I went in for a colonososcopy in April of 2021. Afterwards, in the recovery room, my blood pressure shot up to stroke levels, and fluctuated up and down there for 3 hours. I saw Dr. Bravo in the hallway, making his rounds. He did not speak to me, to tell me what the results of my test were or to help with managing my blood pressure. I could see my nurse talking to him so I was aware that he knew about it. After that, I was immediately informed by his office that he had scheduled a barium enema for me in 2 days, with a follow-up repeat colonoscopy after that. Just like Paty P.'s review, their billing department does not conduct business ethically. I talked to a Leslie in their department and they overcharged me blatantly even though they are IN-Network for my insurance company. Her explanation was because she worked for Dr. Bravo, not because she was watching out for overcharging payments. I'm short $280 from my FSA account because of them overcharging me for a procedure that was covered by my health insurance company. As for Dr. Bravo himself, the first visit was very impersonal. I basically waited for him for 15 minutes and talked to him for 5. I was a number to him. His nursing staff, well when scheduling my procedure with the nurse she pretty much gave me attitude because I had to rescedule the date after looking at what I had to do the day before the procedure. So she had to retype a date. My God, this work atmosphere comes from the top. To top it all off, the hospital I had my procedure was very good. BUT Dr. Bravo was 20 minutes late. No explanation, just late. Worst doctor and office I've been to in my life. Family just moved to Texas from another state, and so far, 95% of the doctors we've seen so far have been 1 star. read more

I'm not sure what all the pearl-clutching in previous reviews are about. I needed a baseline colonoscopy and setting one up with Dr. Bravo was fast and efficient. Yes, he rushes through the initial exam and patient history....I actually appreciate that, he did not waste my time. Two small caveats: I asked the front desk exactly WHERE the procedure would be performed. Instead of giving me the address, she pointed out the window and said "that building right there". The problem was, there were TWO "buildings right there", both of them perform medical procedures, and I went to the wrong one. Second, and THIS IS IMPORTANT, if you are covered by insurance you HAVE to tell his outpatient hospital admissions clerk you want IN-NETWORK PATHOLOGY. They will annotate your chart. If you fail to do this (read other reviews here) they will send any specimens or tissue cut out of you to some random pathologist who does not accept insurance and you'll be legally on the hook for his very large fees. I specified IN-NETWORK PATHOLOGY and all the lab stuff was covered by insurance. read more

Dr. Bravo's office is unethical. They overcharge you even after claims to insurance are filed. The only way I found out about these unethical practices is because I researched my charges. I had a colonoscopy done 2 weeks ago. Dr. Bravo rushed my initial consultation and automatically sent me in for a colonoscopy. I just followed up with the office to confirm my appointment and he authorized my results be given over the phone, yet no one had contacted me from the office and I had to reach out first....also turns out nothing is wrong with me!!! Everything came out normal, including the bloodwork he requested ( can't wait to get THAT bill) Dr. Bravo should take more time LISTENING and asking the RIGHT questions during consultation and not suggest colonoscopy unless absolutely necessary. I had to pay more than planned out of pocket for something I never actually needed. Money hungry for sure. read more

be sure to check that ALL parties (anesthesia, pathology, surgical center...) is IN-NETWORK!!! I just got a $4,000 invoice for pathology even though I called Dr. Bravo's office to make sure everyone was in network! The anesthesiologist was also out of network however they filed the claim, on my behalf, to negotiate my out-of-pocket. I had the same issue for my routine colonoscopy that was supposed to be paid at 100%... but I was able to get everything taken care of before the procedure. probably will not go back to Bravo since they just have too much of this as an issue and a staff that doesn't care to help their patients make an educated decision about who to use for their procedure. ...so long has they (and the surgical center that Bravo partly owns) gets paid... who cares about the bill(s) that their patients get left with. read more

I was surprised to see the difference in reviews from yelp and Dr. Bravo's website. After visiting him, I have to go with the ones on yelp. The doctor hardly listens to you, we felt rush. The certifications on his wall, make him appear very knowledgeable but when visiting him you feel otherwise. We spend money repeating same test from last year, which did not make sense to me. I felt like a dollar sign not a patient. I gave him one star because he wasn't rude, just lack of attention and waste of my money. read more

Have been trying to resolve insurance issue w Lettie, Office Mgr, since Sept. This was 7th call. When I told her we wld no longer use Dr Bravo she said it was a threat and said " I can make things a lot harder for you." She was rude, arrogant and proceeded to lecture me. Not a fan of this doctor. My husband was very ill and, after several office visits, we had to take him to the ER. Dr. Bravo all but refused to admit him, even though they could not control the pain. He was furious and refused testing, writing it off to IBS...his go-to diagnosis. He even avoided my husband's room, deferring to nurses or another doctor almost everyday the week he was there. Turns out, my husband was having a pancreatic attack, and a gallbladder attack. If it weren't for the PA in the ER and the super nurses at the hospital, I would have fallen completely apart. Stay away from this doctor. He was more than willing to order expensive tests, as long as we came back to the office every week. Stay far away. read more

I saw Dr. Bravo on 1/19/15 for digestive issues. Scheduled both upper and lower GI for 2/03. Dr. Bravo's office had me pay over $300 before the procedure. My insurance paid their part, and I have been owed a refund of almost the entire amount since. I have called and called and even met with Lettie, the account manager, to ask for my refund. In July I was told it had been mailed in April. I had to call twice to be told the check was never cashed, and may not have been mailed. Lettie promised to handle the refund. It's September 14. Still no refund. DO NOT waste your time and/or money on this unprofesssional operation. read more

Horrible staff! They don't know what they are doing. Always chit chatting instead of working. You will be waiting for about an hour or 2 past your scheduled appointment, but they will be sure and take your money! Also, they aparently only have 1 person who does the billing, and if she is out they have no back up. So, no questions get answered and nothing resolved. She is also horrible about returning calls. The whole staff is VERY unprofessional. I would fire them all if I were him or he will probably loose many clients. I KNOW I'm not going back!!! Dr. Bravo is a poor excuse for an MD. He is condescending and doesn't take the time to get to know the patient or try to diagnose properly. He doesn't care about the root cause of your illness and says it's "just your irritable bowel." He disregards alternative medicine like a know-it-all, and he made assumptions about me just because I'm thin--as if being thin means you eat healthy and are fit. read more

So this is an update to my previous review. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I had an EGD done and thought nothing about it. Paid my patient responsibility and about a month or so later I received a bill for $2500 and there was no actual surgery done! Be aware when he does a biopsy he sends it off to a lab that is not in network with any insurance company. I had explained to him before my EGD that I had surgery earlier in the year and I could not afford anything too expensive. I was only informed of my co-insurance and the dr.'s fee, nothing else. Very Unprofessional Office Manager DO NOT bother with this doctors office!!! My husband had a procedure done last year in June or July of 2012. I never received any bills until last month, a year in a half later. I called and tried to speak with Letty the office manger about the issue, but never heard back from her. I left a message and never heard back from her. I called the following week to speak with her and didn't get a call back until 2 days later. Letty was very rude and stated that a bill was mailed to me in August of 2012 and December of 2012 and of course now in November of 2013. This is nuts, I never received the first two bills or I would have paid them, but how do you expect someone to pay for a bill 1 1/2 years later, thats absurd. As I was talking to her she hung up the phone on me and told me it was disrespectful to ask to get the bill written off. I called back again wanting to speak to someone higher than her and the only person higher than her was Dr. Bravo. Again the office put me through to Letty and told me that Dr. Bravo would probably more than likely not return my phone call and hung up on me again. I was very upset by this that I called again and refused to speak with her and insisted in speaking with Dr. Bravo, all the office could give me was his email. I emailed him on November 19, 2013 and have yet to receive a call or email back from him. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Once he is done with your business you are no longer important and he doesn't seem to care how his office manager Letty treats his patients. Stay far away from this office. read more

I ditto everything that's been posted. He's in it for the cash. He spoke two words to my husband after my procedure (put under)... " she's fine". Then drove off in his Maserati. This guy (not a doctor because they care) does not care for the patient, is in it for the money, and has no interest in discovering what's truly going on.
