I bought my boyfriend a Groupon here for Valentine's Day so that we could take Latin dancing classes together. I couldn't believe that it was $11 for 12 classes...All i could think of was, "what is the catch to this?" This studio has been around for a long, long time, but we still had a great time here! The Groupon itself wasn't very clear on which specific dance class we were entitled to, so we called the studio and they recommended that we start with the beginners couples class. It was an easy process to give them our Groupon, which they then gave us a punch card so we could keep track of how many classes we had left. The class itself was filled with a combination of younger and older couples: some experienced and some not. Since it was just a beginner class, we all got to vote on which type of Latin dance we would do. Everyone ended up going for the Cha Cha, which was really fun and easy to learn! I was hoping my boyfriend and I were going to stay together a majority of the time, but according to the instructors, the Cha Cha usually consists of switching up partners, so we had a different partner about every 5 minutes. Both instructors were fun, knowledgeable, and had a ton of experience in professional dance. Overall it was a fun experience, and is a very cheap option if you're looking for a new workout or date night! read more

Great place to learn to dance. Dance parties are always fun.

Couple of years ago my wife made a new year's resolution that she was going to take ballroom dance lessons. Well guess who was included in that resolution? Well guess what else? I went only to keep peace at home. And guess what? I'm having as much fun with dancing as my wife is. Alex is the owner and dance instructor. Ann Marie is studio mgr and also gives dance instructions. We are mostly involved with group lessons, but have taken private lessons many times. Alex is very patient. He is also very creative with his choreography. We are at the studio 1-2 times and sometimes more each week. One nice thing about dancing here is you don't have to have a partner and you don't have to have prior experience. We aren't professionals and don't pretend to be. We may not even be that good. But, we have a heck of a lot of fun. And, we have made a lot of friends at the studio. Come on out to a Friday dance party sometime. Tell Alex or Ann Marie I invited you. read more

I got my Merengue on at Bravo Dance this weekend and it was a blast! As my profile says, I should have been a dancer (or so I think), so this was right up my alley. A friend and I decided we wanted to start taking salsa classes, so we did a little research and stumbled on the fabulous classes and prices ($7/class) at Bravo. I was a little nervous going into the class, can't lie about that. I didn't want to be the only clueless person in the class. Luckily it was a slow night. Minus the instructor there were four people in the class. I thought I was going in for salsa, but it ended up being Merengue night. But it's not like I can tell you the difference between the two, so it really didn't bother me at all. And the small class was perfect for my first time! The instructor was great! He knew his stuff and was very understanding of the fact that everyone in the class was a newbie. We went through the basic steps, added a basic turn, then finished up on a series of intricate twists and turns which were quite the doozy. There was one guy in the class and three girls, so we rotated partners. When dancing with the instructor I felt like I was really doing something. It's a dance where the guy is supposed to lead, and I had no problem letting that happen. He was whipping me around the dance floor like no one's business -- and I actually looked I was doing something. I'll take it. I plan to become a Saturday night regular at Bravo. There are three classes on Saturdays. I plan to do the first two. The first is progressive class which changes monthly. We start Bachata next week! The second class is salsa. They run an hour each and the price drops by a dollar for each class you take. I'll be spending $13 a week for two hours of dance class. I don't think you can beat that! Give me three weeks and I'll be tearing up the dance floor! read more

I bought a groupon...forever ago! It expired at the end of May. This awesome dance studio still honored it and I am so glad! My boyfriend and I decided to try our feet at some dance lessons so that we could impress all of our friends and have even more fun when dancing out in public. :) Our first class was last night and I LOVED every minute of it. Mary Anne and Alex are both great. So welcoming, friendly and Alex really does know his dance moves. I am looking forward to continuing to build upon my skills here with them and have a great time doing it. If you are a beginner...no fear. They meet you where you are at as far as skill level goes. Have been taking dance lessons at Bravo for the last couple of months. The teachers are fantastic. They have beginner group lessons every Friday night. I really like the fact that I don't have to go with a partner. Guess what ladies there are plenty of men to dance with. There is a party after every Friday night lesson so you can hang around and dance. Whether you are a woman or a man, the more experienced dancers will take you under their wing and show you new moves. Of course they also have private lessons for beginners to experienced. My girlfriend and I have been attending classes after finding a Groupon for beginners classes. 10 classes for 2 people at $12 was a steal. So i bought 2 of them. My girlfriend absolutely love this.
