But when I took my first bite, I immediately forgot about the wait because it was SO GOOD. They gave me so much food, it took me three days to get through the whole thing. I decided to visit them again today. I ordered their oxtails to go. I got home and bit into it and I immediately turned into a neanderthal as all of my table etiquettes completely left me. I'm pretty sure that at one point, I picked up the plate and started pouring the food directly into my mouth. Other than the wait time (probably should just call in advance and order) I can't think of any reason why you shouldn't come here. Subsequent calls went straight to an 'unavailable' recording. As a culinary student, I make it a point to support Black-owned businesses, but great food must be matched by great hospitality. There was zero customer service or problem-solving here. This experience has only motivated me more to ensure that when I open my own doors, my guests receive amazing food paired with the high level of service they deserve. I've made many of a cake from box mix and container of icing so I'm not judging the fact it tastes like a box mix. Asked 3 times for hot sauce and tartar sauce. Waitress was not attentive in asking if everything was okay and if anything was needed. Nice clean restaurant and a positive vibe.
