Braxton has a very special place in my heart. Partly because the beer, partly because the Carabello coffee, and 100% because it's one of the reasons that Covington is so special. You probably won't find me here on a Friday or Saturday night when this place is kickin', but you will find me here working throughout the week or stopping in for a quiet evening beer with friends. I'm a HUGE fan of the fact that this space is great for co-working Tuesday-Friday. As a remote worker, having a space to get out of the house, think creatively, and sip on some good coffee is vital. The Nitro coffee (Made by Carabello, I believe) is delightful and makes for an excellent work-time beverage. Stay late enough in your working shift? Well...it would be rude not to order a beer, no? This was the first time I'd ever been to Braxton and it was for a friends birthday. We had an igloo! Braxton is killing it with the social distancing and make sure everyone (staff and customers) are safe. Once your whole party is present You can head in to check in with the hostesses. The main floor is closed currently. Once checked in you take the elevator up to the roof. You are asked to only have your party in the elevator and the area is spaced out enough where parties can stand separate if waiting on the elevator. Once on the roof you check in with the bartender and they show your to your igloo. Once inside you can take off your mask but you are required to wear it outside your igloo at all times. The igloos are sanitized between parties as well. I have tired their seltzers black raspberry and apple cinnamon. I also tried their seasonal sweet potato casserole beer. I don't usually, well ever, go for a dark beer but I was pleasantly upraised by this. You can order food from Parlor on Seventh next door and get it delivered to your igloo! Everything we had was phenomenal. I will most definitely be back to Braxton!!! read more

This place is so awesome. It's very dog friendly so we were greeted by a friendly dog when we walked into the brewery. They have tons of beers to try out so I ordered a sampler, which I picked a few beers to try. I mostly tried out their ales.. all were tasty. But everyone has a favorite for beers, I'd suggest coming I. To try them all. Since it was derby week they even had a mint julep beer. I didn't try it but it looked fun in the derby cup. Braxton has grown so much in the last few years! If I'm being honest, when they first opened I wasn't wowed by the beer selection that they offered, so I kind of wrote them off. Last weekend I was in Covington so I stopped by, and wow I've been missing out because this place is poppin! The beer list is really diverse and extensive, and they have lots of unique/experimental beers on tap these days. We had the Yesterday's Headlines Vol. 3 IPA and the Buzz Kolsch and both were delish. Service was pretty easy at the bar, and there were lots of seating options. The taproom is dog friendly, which is a huge bonus. They have pretzels and food delivery if you're hungry. Also, I must mention, Braxton has by far the fastest free wi-fi I've ever seen! It was lightning fast. I may come here just to hang out and enjoy their wi-fi! We came for trivia night with family from out of town. We had a really great time and enjoyed food and drinks. However, it is fairly family friendly except for the bathrooms. There's PLENTY of space but NO changing tables. Unfortunately I had to change our 10 month old on the bathroom floor (gross!!). And then I come out of the handicap stall to see ANOTHER mom doing the exact same thing. C'mon, please get us a changing table (in both the women's and the men's restrooms) so we can come back. Orange Creamsicle is a great smoothie, with tangerine and vanilla flavoring this Smoothie. Can is perfect to share. best served extra cold and definitely will be a summer favorite. Venue is fun, areas to sit with the pet are always a plus. So disappointed in this company. I had a very bad experience with the event manager. After viewing it in person, they told me I could rent a space for my wedding rehearsal dinner and after months of asking for the quote/contract to make it official, I was always told they haven't drafted the contract yet since it was a new space but not to worry. I had asked 5-6 times over a 6 month span and stopped getting replies at all. Bad customer service with no apology or resolution. read more

Braxton Brewing has a great space for hanging out with friends. Despite the industrial look, Braxton still has a cozy feel. I can't really explain it. Tables may be reserved. Seating is available both inside and a few tables outside. Friday and Saturday nights aren't nearly as cozy. Cornhole and shuffleboard are available to play. The pizza place next door (Alto) has a counter inside Braxton to order from. If not in the mood for pizza, food may be brought in from wherever you like. Many style of beer are brewed here. Some of the selections vary between Braxton and Braxton Labs. Several of their beers may be found canned in local grocery stores. This is where you want to spend the afternoon and evening! Visiting on a day trip to Cincinnati, Braxton is worth the trip across the river. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. The beers are even more noteworthy--if you can imagine. The German Ale and Roadtrip sour were my favorites! A cherry on top is that street parking gives you 15 mins for free. I have had nothing but positive experiences at Braxton on multiple occasions. Living in Mainstrasse makes this a perfect place to go to grab a beer. This past weekend we stopped in on Sunday evening hoping to get a beer on their beautiful rooftop- but it was already at their COVID capacity. Never got to try the beer or what looks like a cool patio. They closed at 9pm last night and we made a special trip back early this evening to try again. We were told without apology it would be a 10 minute to 2 hour wait (twice) by the hostess. We were allowed to wait at a table in an empty bar downstairs while 2 parties were allowed upstairs ahead of us. I asked again if we could go upstairs and was told people are on a waiting list ahead of us. Not sure what's going on, but not interested in coming back. We left and went to Coppin's across the street where we were able to sit without fuss at a beautiful outdoor courtyard. For reference, we are 2 scientists who wear masks constantly and completely understand social distancing requirements. It's the not wait that was the issue, it was the ride and indifferent attitude that pushed us away. Hope this helps others have a better time. read more

Stopped in to pick up pumpkin vive for an upcoming yelp virtual event. My wife and I decided to take the opportunity to check out the place, since we had never been here before. Very happy we did, I had an oktober fuel and my wife had a black raspberry vive. We both enjoyed our drinks. We also ordered food from the parlor nextdoor and it was delivered to our table in the taproom. A beet salad for my wife and smoked turkey bbq sandwich for me. My wife placed the order and actually talked to the chef because of her multiple food sensitivity issues. He was very understanding and helped her get a meal that was excellent tasting and didn't cause her any reactions. We also took time to go up to the rooftop and snapped a picture. We finished our visit by purchasing the tailgater vive six pack and a scooter blood orange four pack. Overall a great way to spend an afternoon. The beers & seltzers available on the rooftop were very unpleasant, and the selection was disappointing (only very mid IPAs, stouts and sours [which were bad]) Igloos were fun and vibey, and the staff was nice, but when a "pretzel chip, hummus and veggie" platter comes out with 1) only cauliflower and 2) no pretzel chips, the vibe is considerably lowered. Nice clean brewery in northern KY. Plenty of there own beer on tap. I counted 19 yes 19 on tap. Just there own beer but I am sure you can find a one for your liking. Food situation is big big pretzels and a smart ordering system to alto pizza kitchen. Fast friendly and pretty reasonable prices. Stopped into Braxton after work for the new release of the Graeter's Pumpkin Pie Ale. Call me basic if you want to, but I felt no shame walking out with two four packs. Braxton Brewing is a cool brewery. I've never had a beer from here but I have been on their rooftop and have their Vive brand. Their main location is huge and there is tons of room. During the end of COVID 2020 they set up igloos on their rooftop as a way for something nice/cool and a way for people to social distance in a fun way. It was designed for friends and groups to be together in a socially distance manner. It was nice and so pretty. It also had heaters on the inside. While I'm not a fan of beer in general, there Vive brand is ok. It's like flavored seltzer water. I'm honestly not a fan of seltzer water either. However, I was able to deal with theirs and the flavors are pretty good. If I remember correctly, I tried Mango, Peach, Pineapple, and I want to say Strawberry (I'm not for sure about this one). Lol! The only thing I don't like about most breweries is they don't serve food. Luckily, they are connected to a restaurant called Parlor on 7th. They allow you to order their food and bring it over. What a gem if you're into casual taprooms. I am not a beer enthusiast but what brought me to Braxton was a work retreat. We used the space on the 2nd floor and ventured down to the main area later in the day for happy hour. The 2nd floor space was spacious, clean, had a bar area and tvs so you could easily showcase presentations. The staff was super nice the entire day and accommodated myself and my team. There were no major issues or snags and it really just seemed like a seamless experience. If you are into beer, they have plenty to choose from. They also have a small liquor/wine selection if you can't find a beer to suite you. I can see the brewery being a good space to work if you work remotely. There are plenty of tables and space to be productive and comfortable. After 5pm the place did pick up with customers. Seems like a great place to catch up with a friend over a cold beer without dealing with the hustle and bustle of downtown Cincinnati traffic. I also appreciate the space for not blaring music so you can actually have a pleasant conversation without having to scream at people. Another cool thing is that they sell apparel. If you're a fan of KY made things or Braxton specifically, you can stop in and grab a t shirt. read more

What a fun venue! Hearing the story behind this company made me want to come back on future trips, and bring the friend who shares the name. I'm from Los Angeles, and have a friend's brother who is named Braxton and just about went crazy trying to text them while I was out to let them know all about this place (forgetting the time difference lol). This being my first time there, I wasn't sure what to get - so I opted for the flight. I fell for the Graeter's Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout, and I do NOT like dark beer. I'm a light beer drinker, and this one tasted phenomenal. I was suggested to try the Summertrip as well, and although it was nice, the sour was a little strong for my particular taste buds. I've been buying the six packs for months now and always enjoyed their beers. I've been to Braxton's when there was a Yelp Event a couple of years ago but never had a chance to return. When I heard they were coming out with a collaboration of The Graeter's Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout, my boyfriend and I wanted to go there right away! We missed the release party on Friday, however we came in on Saturday and they were sold out of the 6 pack, but had plenty on tap. It was really busy, but the lines moved fast. They offered it on Nitro so we tried both. The regular tasted better because you can taste the Raspberry more than on Nitro. When we were done with our drinks, I wanted to get another one. I was interested to try the Dead Blow Tropical Storm Stout. Loved it!! It was hard to choose which one I liked better because both were great! This one you can taste the hints of fruit, chocolate and coffee. Next time when my boyfriend and I return, we are going to do a tasting. I haven't tried all their beers yet. Braxton's Brewery will always be on the top of my list. If you haven't tried them, you need to! read more

On a long road trip up to Cleveland for the holidays, we decided to take a pit stop at Braxton Brewing Co meant. The main deciding factor to stop there was that they are dog friendly and showed up on several top beers in Cincinnati posts. We pulled up and we're able to score a parking spot right in front of the door! There is a row of street parking and most spots were occupied by brewery patrons. For a Sunday afternoon, they were pretty busy. There were some smaller TVs and a big screen with the game on - Who gonna beat them Bengals? The browns. After briefly looking over the menu, we were served right away. I went with the Jubilee because of the label. It's a seasonal IPA with a Christmas wreath and Hoppy Holidays printed on it. It was one of my favorite IPAs in recent memory. My husband had the Blown Gasket, and it was also a very solid choice. People are super friendly, and we ended up chatting with some of the other brewery goers who were looking for a board game to play. They have a wall of misfits board games - I say that because many of them are in sad shape. We loved that we were able to purchase beer to go. We picked up a six pack of Jubilee because we liked it so much, a barrel aged beer to gift, and a cute gift package of a peppermint stout called Claus with a glass and candy canes. We'd definitely love to stop at Braxton again if we're in the area! read more

When Braxton hit the scene, I was like, "okay, another brewery, sweet." Nothing really kicked my ass. Over the few years they've been with us, I must admit, they've definitely grown on me, and I have much more respect for them and their brand then I did in the beginning. The first signal flare that Braxton was thinking beyond was taking over E8htball Brewing's space at The Party Source as Braxton Labs. TOTALLY an amazing idea. They could brew small batch recipes, push some boundaries, hit or miss, vote on variants, etc. then promote and distribute the winners. Awesome! I just went to Dark Charge Day yesterday with all their variations of Bourbon Barrel Aged (BBA) imperial stouts. Fantastic!! This brewery is growing in the perfectly right direction. From their marketing, events, obviously their brews, everything is on point. Respect to Braxton, for a relatively small brewery, you are positioning yourself well to grow and expand your base. Needless to say, I am a yuuuge beer fan. Through the years my tastes have changed and they fluctuate back and forth from light beers to dark beers to lagers to ales. In my attempt to knock all the Cincinnati breweries off my list (which is actually an impossible task as it seems every time I cross one off, two more pop up), I visited Braxton for the first time on a Saturday night. P.S. You will never hear me complain about "too many" breweries...keep 'em coming, Cincy. Driving here was pretty easy, it is in an area with some other nightlife and there is street parking available, scored a spot right in front. The establishment itself is very clean, well-lit, and had great ambiance. There is a "garage" area where it appears they reserve for special groups and events, a merch section, the bar, long tables, bar tables, and two huge leather sofas where multiple groups can congregate and enjoy their beer. There was live music the night I was there which was great and everyone was having a wonderful time. I got myself a flight so I could try a few of their beers and get a feel for Braxton besides Storm which I think was one of their only beers I had tried before. The staff was attentive and friendly and I was served in a timely manner. The beer was cold and crisp and to be honest it was amaaaazing. I was super impressed by Braxton's beer. Each beer was unique and the names were almost too fitting to the flavors! Their Summertrip beer sticks in my mind as does their Kentucky Home beer and the 1957 beer. All absolutely wonderful and developed and I can't wait to go back to try them all. read more

Okay - this review is long overdue. After visiting Braxton on a beer bus tour, we decided to bring our pooch down and check out Tuesday Trivia night. We have had such a great time every time we've been. They do not serve food, but you are welcome to order in some pizza, or pack your own picnic (which I prefer to do). Stating the obvious, the beer is the headliner. My husband prefers the Crank Shaft. If you appreciate an IPA full of flavor - this is a sure thing! On our last visit I tried the seasonal Claus Peppermint Sweet Stout - one acronym: OMG! This was delish - I liked it so much I'm thankful my husband was driving! ;) The pilsner was rimmed with peppermint crumbles and the stout was surprisingly not heavy. Just do yourself a favor and try it before it's gone - stout lover or not! Trivia is a blast! Enough people to have fun, but not so crowded there is no place to sit. Our sweet goldendoodle loves to join us for a night out and I give props to the other dog owners who bring their fur babies. I have yet to see one unruly or unfriendly dog. read more

Braxton has been becoming one of my top breweries in the Cincinnati area. They rival all the big ones when it comes to quality and creativity, plus they allow dogs so that's a huge plus. I've been a bunch of times over the past year, and every times its been great. From a quiet drink with the fiance to a midday work party Braxton seems perfect for every occasion. But, just like all the other big breweries, it is absolutely packed here on weekends, and finding a parking spot near by isn't always easy. I have been loving all the beers Braxton has been making. My go-tos are the Blown Gasket, and the Storm. Also check out anything from their Garage Series, especially the Beta series. Those are some damn good IPAs. I'd have to say my favorite is the Dead Blow, its a bourbon barrel stout that usually comes in a few variations. Grab a flight or two and try everything, you can't go wrong. read more
