MadTree had my heart, and there's no other way to say it. This is my parents' and my go-to spot when they visit to hang out with some good drinks and food. We absolutely love their nachos and, of course, their variety of drinks. Their nachos were perfectly cheesy, and the guac on top adds the nicest flavor and oomph to the massive tray. For drinks, I tried the new 'Cincitucky' trail lager. It was super smooth and a nice, easy drink, definitely recommend if you're into similar drinks like Rhinegeist's Cincy Light. I think the atmosphere and the vibes are what keep me coming back to MadTree again and again. It is so warm, welcoming, and lively in there. My partner and I came here for trivia the other night. We both got beers and ordered some wings and a cheese pizza to split. Overall this place is cool. It's got a huge inside with long tables and a large bar, plenty of space for large groups. Outside is even bigger, with plenty of tables of all sizes for any group. We sat outside to hear the trivia better and enjoy the pleasant evening. You order your drinks at the bar and your food through a QR code on the table you're sitting at. This process was nice, as we didn't have to track anyone down or stare at a menu while trying to order with a line behind us. We got our beers from a friendly bartender, sat, and took our time scrolling through the menu. Our food came together, which was strange as we expected the wing appetizer to come first. The pizza was awesome! The cheese blend reminds me a lot of costcos. The wings were just okay. Maybe I am not a buffalo person, but overall they did not have much flavor. Next time we'll try something else. Prices can add up, but it is nothing crazy compared to places around town. Went to a private event here. No idea how much that cost. They have a party room; heck, maybe they have several, this place is so huge. Ours was a good size, with TV screens for our videos, nice tables, super staff. We had a buffet of pizza and a few other things. Staff were on top of that, plus collecting plates, and great at the bar. The pizza was pretty good. Thin crust, nice cheese and sauce layers, good toppings. The cocktails were tasty but prebatched - which I find to end up being too sweet. The food was good, fried pickles, giant pretzel, wings, and pizzas all came out hot and flavorful. The pizzas have a bread-ier crust, which was good but ended up a little heavy when paired with the fried foods. The cheese sauce with the pretzel was definitely the fan favorite! Being that it is Pizza week in Cinti., I thought I would try my 1st restaurant of the week(I love Italian food). MadTree Brewing Oakley Taproom on Madison Rd has a chicken bacon bravo pizza. It has mozzarella, chicken, bacon, ranch, green onions with a drizzle of ranch dressing. When I tell you this pizza is succulent, hats off to the kitchen staff. The crust is light, airy and fluffy. Came up with some coworkers after work and I was not disappointed. We stayed until last call but didn't feel pushed to leave when the bar did close. The staff was nice and the bartenders were very informative on the different beer taste profiles and the other drinks they offered. I ended up deciding on the orange and blue sway - this is a vodka soda drink in a can - it was orange and blueberry flavored and it was so good! Like I wanted to drink another and that is not a norm for me. I like how the place has food options as well as tons of places to sit from an outdoor patio with lights and heaters for in the winter to inside seating as well. My favorite brewery in the city by a long shot. As someone who has a gluten allergy, you never expect to have many options at a brewery. Unfortunately I married a craft beer fanatic, so I am often at many. Madtree has so many options for people who don't drink beer or have allergies. And they only offered to find us another table AFTER WE ASKED for them specifically to find us one. You can keep your $7.50 beers. We will go elsewhere to feel welcome and enjoy time together. Went there to grab lunch by myself and sit at the bar. No seats were available at the bars (inside or out) and most of the tables were empty. Just about everybody at the bar were in groups of four or more. And 75% of the tables were empty. I am guessing table service is bad and nobody sits at them. It was a really nice day out, so we thought Mad Tree might be swamped, but we were pleasantly surprised that they were not at all. There was plenty of parking in the front and we noticed later that there is overflow parking in the back as well. They have a large patio area that's really cute, most of the tables are under a covered roof or have a large umbrella. There were regular tables and chairs along with picnic tables as well. There was a nice sized bar outside and one on the inside as well. We had been out in the heat, so opted to eat in the AC. We got beers and a few apps. Have been to Mad Tree countless times and really enjoy it. Went on Friday night to try their new menu for the first time. Loved the food when catch-a-fire was operating. The new menu is pretty expansive with a lot more offerings. We had the bbq wings which were nice and saucy. The pepperoni pizza was good, nice thin crust with small pepperoni cups. It was a little bit too greasy though. Beer as always is great. Customer service is also always great. The parking is tough during prime time hours. Vibes were good with reds on tv. The new kitchen inside MadTree opened last weekend after Catch-a-Fire moved out at the start of this year. My family and I are big fans of Catch-a-Fire, so we were sad when this all went down, but the food coming out of the MadTree kitchen is a solid replacement. We started with an order of cheesy bread, topped with garlic butter, mozzarella, and parmesan served with red sauce and ranch ($9). There are four slices in the serving, enough for each of our family members to try a slice. Nothing crazy here, but solid bread and good sauce to go with it. We also tried the fries with Happy Amber BBQ and ranch ($10). This was a massive serving of fries and their BBQ sauce is great. My favorite of the day was definitely the tasty taco pizza topped with taco sauce, cheddar, chipotle chicken, pico de Gallo, Doritos, guacamole, and crema ($17.25 for the 12-inch). The flavor combination on this was superb and I was happy that this was served with chicken rather than the more common ground beef for a taco pizza. I will absolutely order this again as it is unique and tastes great! Our kids enjoyed the cheesy cheese pizza ($11.50 for 12-inch). My son said it's not as good as Catch-a-Fire, but I stole a slice and found it to be a pretty good slice of plain pie. Overall the serving sizes are large, with the 12-inch pizza being more than enough for 2 to split. There are six pretty big slices, so it could be possible to share with 3 people and a snack on the side, depending on the hunger of the group. read more

MadTree does a great job of tapping something for everyone -- and their new seltzers are just the thing for any non-beer drinkers in your group. Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a birthday party. This place was super busy and there were so many people here, parking was a little bit tough. The location itself is in a nice area and the beer that they had was plenty and exactly what you expected at a brewery. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. The place was getting busy for the final Bengal pre-season game. We had two beers and a Caesar salad and small very veggie pizza. The salad was good sized and fairly priced. The very veggie had nice crust but had mostly black olives and not "very" much any veggie. The QR ordering system was on the blink so we had to ask a bartender for order assistance and they said it was not an uncommon situation. I really like to see a detailed check when I pay versus a hand-held POS put in my face with a number and a tip request. Still not sure how our total was correct but perhaps it was accurrate. I love the feel of this place with the garden wall and all the seating. Very relaxed family friendly place. The crowd was all over the place from a new born at the table next to us to people in their 70's attending a birthday party. Cool inside with a nice selection of beers. IT'S LONG BUT READ IT!!!!! Long time coming...been a regular at 1.0 (original brewery) then regulars at 2.0 (existing brewery) had the first beers served. Seen quite a few changes over the years. (The brewery scene is not what it was). Seen staff come n go. We went through a lean time where the food just wasn't worth going as often. BUT NOW the food is awesome n we're back w a vengeance!!!
