I was looking for vinyl plank flooring and Sean showed me some. However, after listening to what I wanted in FLOORING, he recommended laminate. They carry a brand called mohawk which is apparently extremely highly rated and durable. I wanted to think about it and came back and spoke to Will, who was extremely helpful and pleasant. He let me take their floor samples home to see how they would look! Unfortunately the colors available did not match my house. However, Will was able to help me find a really nice carpet for my stairs and home office. It is pet proof, as well! It feels so soft walking on the "Heritage" carpet and the coloring is such that dirt won't show. They were also cheaper than the carpet I had originally planned on getting. Will made the experience so easy! I had never heard of them before, but I am glad my house painter mentioned them. I strongly recommend them. read more

I have mixed reviews about Brazos valley floor & design- I worked with them for 7 months and used them to replace our carpet, backsplash and floors. I think the biggest area of needed improvement is communication from the sales person to the customer. My particular sales person was a challenge to get a hold of and was also super short in her emails. I literally just started showing up at the store so I could get a quick response. Also, I feel like there are particular personalities that would really thrive in this position but this particular sales person lacked that- she was helpful but not the super friendly sales type person a business should desire. I know if I owned a business, I would want my sales people to be super personable and engaging with customers and didn't leave an air of "I don't like my job" "I'm stressed out" or "you're bothering me". For example with communication, I finally was told our wood floors wouldn't be able to be installed until after Christmas so I went ahead and put up our Christmas decor. Then, I had to call again in January to see if 1) have the floors even come in and 2) can we get on the install schedule? I receive an email saying something along the lines of "we got your installation scheduled for _____". I had no idea the wood was even in and don't even know when the wood came in. It just seemed like a lack of organization to me and follow through which should be something a sales person thrives in. Now let's talk quality: I would say overall the quality of work is good- our wood floors guys did a great job but note that they just contract out the work- I honestly should have compared prices with other places in town before choosing here so I would know how the prices compare. The backsplash people did great. The only issue we had were with the carpet people as they left carpet fuzz and even some small pieces of scrap carpet in the rooms which to me wasn't very professional. Anyways, this is why I rate them a 3/5 as there is several areas of needed improvement but also 2/3 actual jobs were done professionally. read more

I will try to make this short and simple. Went into store selected tile for the main area of our home. I have dealt with management, scheduler, quality control and the installers. From beginning to end this Company was professional, accommodating (schedule change), and easy to work with. The quality of installation is above and beyond anything I have dealt with. They had to remove old tile and replace with new. With this Company just hit the easy Button! I could not have had an easier more professional experience. Terrible experience with this company. I used them about 4 years ago prior to this debacle and things went well. I would not have posted this had they been attentive to my expressed concerns. I paid $9500 for carpet and LVP install. The first thing that was unsettling is that they grounded my wood floor for install of LVP in my dining room. They did not put up any protective barriers to keep the dirt from spreading throughout my entire home. I had dirt throughout my entire home. I was informed they would install toe boards for LVP install. The toe boards were torn, cracked and they installed them anyway. They destroyed areas of my original base boards and we couldn't locate them. One of the most unsettling occurrences was that a crew of about 6-8 men freely used my bathrooms. After I barricaded the toilet, they took it down and used it anyway. I came home and encountered them coming out of my bathroom. They used my microwave to cook their food. My grandson was there in his room and they came and inquired about where it was. That was not in the contract. The crew had female guest at my home. My walls were covered with every material that they used to install the LVP. They destroyed my welcome mat at the front door with the material they used to install the floor. After working for 3 days installing they just stopped showing up. After a day of not showing up, I called to inquire about why and none of the reps knew anything. They finally returned the following Tuesday to complete the job. I never received the standard walkthrough after completion. So, I called to share my concerns about everything I'm sharing with (2) representatives and no one ever contacted me after promising to review my concerns. This experience was absolutely unacceptable and irresponsible for a business. I would never recommend them to anyone. I was a repeat customer and I was not a valued customer. Went to their tent sale this weekend, and walked away SUPER happy. They had a TON of inventory marked down, they were extremely helpful, and we got out of there spending WAY less than we expected and in a very short amount of time. I'm excited to redo the floors in our soon-to-be nursery with the high quality vinyl "wood" flooring we got from there. read more

We first used Brazos Valley Floor & Design for our granite for our kitchen remodel. Not being from the area, we shopped around at different places and ended up here. We were SO pleased with how everything turned out and the great assistance from Wanda. When it came time to do our floors and backsplash, we had looked at other flooring and tile companies in College Station/Bryan area and none compared to the service and product selection of Brazos Valley Floor & Design. Their customer service is excellent, they are upfront about everything, and also know what they are talking about. We worked with Miranda in the store, and she was such a pleasure to work with. They all wanted to make sure we were happy with the install and ensured us that if we needed anything, to give them a call and it would be sorted out. Brazos Valley Floor & Design - Subway tile backsplash and granite - Flooring Near Me - College Station, Texas

Jeremy Dewitt and Brazos Valley Floor and Design are responsible for the 2nd biggest screw-up in our remodel. We used Teragren bamboo flooring in two other projects and really like it. So when it was time to do our master bedroom, we wanted to use that again. The folks at BVF&D knew this early in the February of 2013 along with the start date for our remodel of June 3, 2013. On June 3, 2013 the carpet was removed from our bedroom and then we find out the flooring is not in yet. I hear nothing but excuses from Jeremy and finally on July 1, 2013 I decide to track down where my flooring may be. I reached the people at Teragren who were super nice and super confused on why I was calling them. They then gave me the name of my wholesaler, The Master's Craft and Brad S. was very nice and helpful. What I found out was that the flooring was ordered on June 14th (yes, 11 days AFTER removing our carpet and making our bedroom unlivable) and that it would be delivered on July 5, 2013. Over a month after it should have been here. The men installing the flooring were quite rude and messy. I got a lot of attitude when they had to come back and clean up all the glue they left on floor. Eventually my husband had to clean the floor inch by inch to get off the glue and solvent that left spots everywhere. I will say BVF&D does have a nice selection of granite slabs so we were able to find what we wanted without a drive to Houston. A very competent man came to our house to measure for the granite counter tops, but a different crew came to install them. Apparently a sub-contractor, so I feel I was deceived in who was going to install the counters. These sub-contractors did a sub-par job of installing the counters. Including making the backs plash the wrong height and stealing the extra granite and some other leftover granite that they were going to shape for me. Doubt I'll be seeing those again. The carpet at BVF&D is over priced. We had to go over our allowance from Mariott on the cost of the carpet even though we chose the least expensive options. I will say the carpet installers did a good job. They even managed to put carpet in the children's bedroom closets when they were full of junk. read more

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. Good selection and good price, but it stops there. Picked out granite countertop and tile backsplash. First, salesman to measure tile never showed up or called. Had to call and got assigned someone else who came on a different day. Told originally that they do countertops and tile, but when problems arose with granite countertop installation was told that they are actually different companies, which might be true, but am thinking same owners. Had to call at least four times during the countertop install for various problems all caused by lack of follow-up, management or supervision. Installers arrived four hours late on granite, had to call, had to argue with installers and the office because granite not seamed in correct location and the other pieces were cut too short. This was all discussed, agreed to and paid for. Wasted an entire day of vacation because nothing was correct. Rejected the entire project and told them to put it back on the trailer. Was told that new pieces would be expedited and would fit. Agreed to Saturday install but to come after 8:30, showed up at 8:00 when eating breakfast. Large piece cut correctly, two smaller pieces not cut and instead of precision cutting as advertised, they cut in my front yard, and yes, took them three times to get the correct measurement, took a chunk out of one of my doors moving in and out and the cut is not square. They never checked the level and there is a ridge at the seam that should have been shimmed. Was told that they could take care of that, but was never contacted and after this experience didn't want them to return anyway. Tile people show up on Monday but had not been told that sheetrock must be removed and rockboard installed, had to leave to get tools and of course they tried to convince me it was okay to install backsplash over damaged sheetrock. Had to call to get them to do this -- again had been agreed to at purchase. Had to watch this group to ensure electrical outlets placed at same height across length of countertop. They also said rockboard should have been installed prior to countertop. They cut all the tile in front yard as well and I had to remind them to clean up the next day when they came to grout the tile. Their vehicle also leaked oil in my driveway. Overall finish tile work was good. If you are a home owner who takes pride in your home or you would rather not have to supervise the construction crew of a company that you paid services for, I'd suggest you pay a little more and go somewhere else. I feel that this company will give what they want to give you not what you agreed to and paid for. They tell you one thing and you get something else at home. PLEASE DO NOT LET CONTRACTORS GET AWAY WITH THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR. I have signed up for yelp just because of this experience and I hope someone finds it helpful. read more
