The best coffee shop in Dublin, with the best scones and nicest staff. I would highly recommend this fantastic little gem

Queen of Tarts (both locations) is by far one of my favorite tea room/bakeries. They carry only the finest sweets and teas. Everything is homemade. They do an excellent brunch as well. The scones have got to be some of the best ever. I've had a lot in my travels and these are grand. The service is always excellent as well. The decor is as charming as it gets. Proper tea service on floral patterned China, giving all the Marie Antoinette feels. A+.

Friendly service. For breakfast, I loved their vegetarian Irish breakfast that they no longer make, but they do have a traditional Irish breakfast. Only served for breakfast or all day during the weekend. Their pancakes were super delicious (€13). We tried it with honey, syrup, Nutella and banana's. These are served all day and everyday. I also tried their baked beans and kale that came with tomato baked beans and fried kale on bread and topped with fried eggs (€14.5). It was good. Another breakfast item that is served for breakfast or all day on the weekends. Their Caprese sandwich for lunch is addictive and they pair it with a great tasty bread (€11). Their cakes and teas are tasty, I love their chocolate cake. Their coffee, lattes and Mocha are average. But the experience and atmosphere still make them enjoyable. Overall, this is a place that I will always visit.

"Ah howye luv, yer usual brekkie roll is it?"…read more "Yes please! I'm like a box of Lego. I'm in BITS!" "Late night?" "Yes! You better give me a turnover for tomorrow too, I feel a 2 day hangover approaching!" This is a real old Dublin bakery. The women that work here are real Dubs and I am sure if someone looked sideways at me they'd have my back! They say real Dublin Mammy things to ya. They're deadly! This place is tinchy tiny. The bread is top notch. As the lady who works here said to me before...... "None of that Cuisine De France shite in here luv" A real proper crusty roll for your lunch. I used to live around the corner from here and every Saturday morning I would get my brekkie roll (pictured above). The deli counter is very small and the sausages and rashers are out of a vacuum pack. I'm here for the bread, not the rashers and sausages so it does the trick. The rest of the fillings are much better than that, nice and fresh and really good coleslaw. The turnovers are my favourite (as well as the crusty rolls). I don't have a sweet tooth so the only time I would have any cakes from here is if we got one in the office for someone's birthday. Everyone in my office raves about the cakes however. If you're in town of a Saturday doing some shopping Northside then I would highly recommend you brave the nasty street that is Talbot Street and get some bread for your brekkie on Sunday morning. Totes amazeballs!

They've also got great toastie sandwiches and baguettes that are perfect for a cold Irish winter day! The prices make the food even more delicious! You can get a jelly donut and a cup of tea for only €2! That's quite amazing when just a cup of tea would cost you more than that in Starbucks! The sandwiches are also amazingly cheap as well!

We had to leave it in the end, and resigned to going another day. To my sheer delight and surprise walking by Crowbar (Button Factory) a second branch of Dolce Sicily has just opened! It's much more spacious and a really comfy cool spot to hang out. The sheer array of cakes and pastries are amazing - they have loads of unusual flavours. I went for the savoury ciabatta with buffalo mozzarella, grilled aubergine, leek omelette (unusual but nice!) and baby spinach. While I did feel the price of €11 for the sandwich was quite steep, you could tell the ingredients were all seriously good quality. It was really gorgeous! You could add soup or a salad for an extra two quid also. I went for their soup which was Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato - really zingy and fresh. We were both pretty stuffed after the massive lunches but decided to go for one of their amazing looking cannolis - WOW. We chose the pistachio cannoli and it was out-of-this-world delicious. Definitely worth a try!
