Bread & Butter Farm is a wonderful place to visit! The shop/bakery cafe was open when we visited this week during the kids school break. This was a great spot to make after touring the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory. We tried the almond flour cake which is a must order! We also bought the orchard apples, maple onion hot sauce, and chili and cheese bread. Staff were so nice here. They offered a chopping board and bread knife so we could cut the bread and apples and enjoy outside in the sun. We also walked around the cafe/shop to the back to check out the brown cows! What an amazing farm. We came here to see the eclipse, they have an awesome shop that sells meats from the farm, some great coffee and merch. The land is beautiful with amazing views, and the family that runs the farm are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They were slinging burgers, hot dogs, ect for the event. When we arrived I got myself an iced maple latte, so good! For lunch I got a cheeseburger and kale salad, and man both were excellent (hence why I took some steaks home). Highly recommend to stop in to support this family farm ! read more

Made the trek to the Bread & Butter Farm on a very rainy day but it was so worth it. Tried several different baked goods from the Blank Page Cafe including the vanilla bean cake, pumpkin bread, sweet potato and cheddar pastry, and pumpkin muffin (which was particularly phenomenal). Also tried the maple latte which was delicious. Wish we could've spent more time there if not for the rain. read more

Took a mozzarella making class with Ella. It was really fun and informative. I found out the farm offers numerous opportunities and classes for children of all ages, allowing them to learn about animal husbandry, gardening, farming, cooking, woodworking, even making music. These are all skills everyone should have. They have an awesome selection of local organic and grass fed meat; they sell their own beef, plus Maple Wind Farm Chicken, Woodland Pork and sustainable wild caught salmon all at reasonable prices. They have locally grown produce as well and CSA options. In the summers, they do burger nights with music. Wish I'd known about it sooner! The cafe makes all kind of gourmet grass fed butter drinks, gluten free pastries. Will definitely check out the cafe and the burger nights in the future. read more

Randomly came across this awesome spot while visiting family. Needed some breakfast and there was a sign out front advertising breakfast tacos on Friday mornings. We made a quick U-turn and headed into the farm. So glad we did. Awesome breakfast tacos and a fantastic cafe/ farm shop as well. Grabbed a maple latte (delicious), a blueberry muffin (yummy) and a brownie (good, but not quite my jam)- I believe all the baked goods were GF/ maybe vegan. The staff was super friendly. Oh and we bought a half gallon of farm fresh milk for my little guy's bottle! Would go back in a second. read more

Stopped by the farm driving through town. Had so many options to choose from - cheese, bread, butter, etcand farm swag. Love! Staff was great and helpful- gave us some recommendations for the area (we are out of towners). Insisted we go out back and see the brand new piglets. Great experience! read more

Such a wonderful little farm! I heard about them through a friend and decided to go and check them out for their Jersey Cow raw milk. I had been searching for a good source of cream and milk for my summer's adventure of ice cream making and this place seemed to offer the best! Aside from milk (which you have to be a member of the food club or milk club to purchase) they offer delicious naturally leavened breads, veggies, local meats, eggs and syrup. We joined their food club, which so far was a wonderful decision. We receive weekly emails with the weeks offerings, place our order, and drive out to scenic Hinesburg 1-2 times a week to pick up our treats. They also offer burger nights on Mondays and Fridays - a great local event with good food, and often times live music. We feel so lucky to be a part of the food they are producing.The prices are a little high, but worth every penny. Similar to what you would experience at the farmer's market or the local co-op in town. read more

I've been here for burger night a few times now. It's a great idea and a well run event. It's a win/win in that it draws a lot of people out to the farm, the farm seems to make a decent amount of money, and it is a fun time. It's a great place for kids to run around while parents eat and listen to live music. There is a short kids activity between sets which is a preview of some kids sing along thing that happens at the farm. The farm owner is a little hokie but nice enough. Overall, I'm impressed with burger night for a variety of reasons but mostly because it is a good time. read more

I don't know who Sara D is but I've been going to this farm for organic veggies, organic grass feed beef, super fun Burger Nights and the best vibe ever. The folks who own it are so kind and generous! The people who work there are so happy and friendly. The location is awesome! There is a very positive magical energy that surrounds this cute little farm! read more

The animals on the farm like the pigs are such a fun way to go and scope out and spend an afternoon at; kids and adults would love looking out at the beautiful cows, fields, farm land and pasture! Inside at the farm store, there's a fabulous cafe called "Blank Page Cafe" and the owner Mike is so passionate about baking gluten free/grain free treats while serving a variety of coffees, performance coffees, teas, etc.! I was very disappointed to learn that the farm cancelled a family event that was being held by a community group on the SAME DAY it was to be held. Though they claim to want to hold community events, it does not appear to be the case. I can't speak for their farm products, but intend to take my business elsewhere. read more
