So the food when you go in is us usually delicious and you get alot. Today, we got door dash. I paid $4 for a fruit cup that I thought would at least be worth $3 and this is what I got. 3 small pieces of old cantaloupe, 2 old grapes and 3 pieces of honey dew and 1 pineapple. I visited this location with a group of friends this morning. The service was friendly and prompt. All requests were handled promptly, such as extra butter. Three of us ordered the Depot breakfast with various sides. It was a hit with us. The rest of the party ordered the Cinnamon Swirl pancakes, an omelet, and a skillet. Overall, the food was delicious, and the only minor comment was the lack of drink refills. I would go again if I was in the area. read more

We have gone to Breakfast Station twice, both times with a group of eight or so. It was okay the first time, as I recall, but my wife and I had a couple of issues on the most recent visit. Nothing major, I suppose. She ordered one of the skillet breakfasts with fried eggs on top of it, and noticed after she began eating it that they had neglected to include the eggs. She let it go. Meanwhile I ordered the veggie omelette and couldn't even find any mushroom in it, which is my favorite part (perhaps it was chopped so small as to make it invisible). My grilled biscuit was fine, but the home fries weren't browned hardly at all for some reason. Maybe because of how busy it was. Someone else in our party had a weird combo of home fries and hash browns on her plate, but she was fine with it as it happened. The service was great despite the crowded feel to the place. So the overall experience was okay, though when I spend $25 for two of us to eat breakfast I expect a little better. If our group decides to go here a third time, perhaps I will keep it simple for the kitchen and order just biscuits and gravy. read more

Only thing hotter than room temp was the coffee!! Most important thing about breakfast is to serve it hot..or atleast warm. Unbuttered room temp toast which is really a do-it-yourself toast kit that can't melt butter. Bacon cooked but again room temp. Won't sit you at a table without having all of your party. Asked for a 4 top for 4 of us and refused to seat us. I wanted coffee at the table while we were waiting but no way at this restaurant that you'll get seated. It's policy! Bad policy. Not a good start, the expediter in the kitchen while we were waiting was eating in the kitchen, then wiped his mouth and touched his hair, then touched a plate of food, still hasn't washed his hands. Gabby is the manager. There is a policy not to seat anyone unless the whole party is there, understandable on Sunday mornings but Tuesday morning? Update, Gabby the manager waited our table and gave excellent customer service. Apologized for not seating us earlier. Policy should be for parties larger than 4 to wait until the whole party is there. Reason is Seating a 4 top before the whole party is there is fine because your not putting two tables together as you would for a larger party that may have more or less guests. Our favorite breakfast place in or near The Villages is Breakfast Station in Leesburg, Florida. (It's located in the plaza directly adjacent to Walmart.) Decorated in a train motif, this restaurant is nothing fancy, but the food is solidly good. My husband ordered scrambled eggs with home fries, bacon, and silver dollar pancakes. He enjoyed every bite of it. I got a two eggs, over easy veggie skillet with rye toast. The skillet itself was delicious. The home fries being a real standout. The rye toast was also exceptionally tasty. I didn't think the coffee was very good. It was bitter; maybe the last dregs of the pot. Also, the service could be better. Our waiter was very friendly but not the most efficient. My husband had to ask for syrup while the waiter was busy gabbing with other staff, and I had to grab my own takeout box. But, if you're looking for good breakfast food and nice-sized portions, this place can't be beat. read more

Breakfast and brunch options are fairly limited in Leesburg with definitely nothing nearby that can be described as "New American" or more upscale for that meal...so the best you can hope for is a basic diner-style spot that you hope does what they do well. Enter Breakfast Station's Leesburg location and you have just that. A basic American breakfast done very well. When we arrived in what we can assume as the post-church hour on a Sunday, the place was hopping...we had to wait about 15 minutes for our table. The only weird part about that is the waiting area at the entrance to the restaurant is surrounded dining tables (separate from the larger main dining area)...so being conscious of this kind of thing I didn't want to seem like I was hovering over people dining. (And also I was glad we weren't seated in that area as there would have been lots of people hovering over us eating. (And it was unusually cold in Florida so we didn't want to stand outside. All that aside our dining experience was very positive. They've got an extensive menu and everyone who helped us was super friendly (not just to us but to the very local crowd hanging out for Sunday brunch.) Okay, actually one other complaint for the good stuff...the coffee was not at all good. It was right in the browned water territory, hardly tastable. (And the decaf which my wife had was even less noticeable as anything but browned water.) I can't emphasize this enough proprietors of breakfast restaurants: Coffee is the first impression for most...it should be bold and strong. Ok, on to the good which was everything else! Our server was super sweet and friendly and she did well accommodating our crazy different diets (one vegetarian, one gluten free, and one kid.) I had an omelet made with egg whites, Swiss cheese and spinach. It really was cooked well which often doesn't happen with egg whites. They were soft and fluffy, and not overcooked. I'm a sucker for a "latke" so I was excited they were willing to sub one potato cakes for the potato option (as opposed to a full order of potato cakes which comes with 2.) This looked great and had really good flavor. Not quite a traditional latke, but definitely similar, and served with either applesauce or sour cream. (Our server was nice enough to give both.) My wife had eggs over easy with grits and spinach. The eggs were cooked perfectly (again not always done with eggs where the yolks should be slightly runny. She said it was excellent.) Our kid pretty much wanted to make the cinnamon swirl pancake his permanent life partner. He loved it. We'd definitely come back the next time we're in Leesburg...especially if they promised to strengthen up the coffee! read more

I don't know what happened on this visit. I've been here several times for their weekend waffle special. On 5/3/24 the waffle was terrible-dark, dry, hard and tasteless. Plus, it took forever to get it, so I didn't have time to send it back and ask for something else. This did happen one other time, but it was a couple years ago. You might be better off going to the Waffle House for a decent waffle. Our waitress was great however. 2 thumbs down to your waffle, guys. Maybe you should just forget the waffle. My favorite Leesburg breakfast stop. It's anything but the local greasy spoon. The food is very fresh, cooked to order and quite yummy. My favorite waitress is snarky, quick witted, funny and a dynomite server. I love the home made homefries, extra crispy, which I usually have with chopped steak since I'm not the typical bacon & eggs for breakfast person. The SOS (cream chipped beef) is made in house and should not be missed! I love the little side of dessert you get with breakfast, aka dollar sized pancakes. Craig was our waiter and he was great. He was attentive and funny. Definitely great for putting you in a good mood first thing in the morning. The food was good and came out hot. If you are carb counting then make sure you don't eat carbs the day before so you can enjoy the cinnamon roll pancakes. I had eggs because I didn't know. The sausage links are very good (high in fat as sausage is but tasty and fat). I also had the fresh fruit that had some of my favorite fruits in it. Heard it from a friend that this was some good grubbin. Went around 830 on a Saturday and got right in (there was a bit of a wait when we left at 930) Hubs had the B&G with 2 eggs over medium. Biscuit was definitely homemade. Flaky and substantial. I had the waffle with an egg over medium. Waffle was crispy and buttery. Coffee was hot and fresh. This is the perfect breakfast diner. Always busy, but the customers are aware of that, so they do not sit around and take up a table. The staff is quick to turn over a table. We had a FUN / Sassy waitress. When my wife asked for her eggs scrambled, the waitress asked "with or without shells?". She had a few other fun quips as well. We liked it so much that we came back 3 days later with 3 other people for Sunday breakfast after church. This time we had a different server. This place is awesome. We had another local breakfast spot we would go to but I wasn't really enjoying the quality and wanted to branch out. Thankful I tried out the breakfast station because it was an absolute delight. All the women in there that helped us were so kind, funny and hospitable. The food was delicious as well and I honestly can't wait to try some lunch items if I am being honest. Also the prices were amazing. My wife and I left full and satisfied for $20.
