First time coming in, looking for vegan options. Was glad to see they offered a few. The tofu scramble was good, fruit was fairly fresh aside from the grapes and the collard greens had a nice spice to them. I wish that the biscuits were vegan but they weren't. This location is no different from any of the other Flying Biscuit Cafes that I've been to - B U S Y! FBC is my very favorite breakfast chain. The biscuits are delicious (and the apple butter? Incredible). This location seems to get busier than others, but while also taking longer for service. I'm sure it's due to the clientele, which is in general in less of a hurry than other locations' target customers. I love that they offer chicken sausage and my smoked salmon scramble was delicious. Stopped in here because of the specials advertised on the local radio and on Facebook. We were in the area because of another reason, so came in at 8 am. Caitlyn approached us and asked what we wanted for beverages, if any. We clarified the specials available and ordered our coffees and meals and off she went for preparation. Coffees came quickly, along with two biscuits and apple butter and regular butter for a snack while we waited. One special we received was avocado toast with a pineapple mango pico and poached eggs and fruit side. I had the special early breakfast with sausage, eggs, potatoes and coffee for a special price. We walk by this cute cafe often through the years of visiting the Villages. We notice the people eating outside and the special they advertise for $9.99 two eggs, one slice of bacon, chicken patty , choice of grits or potatoes and a cup of coffee. 7am-9am. We finally decided to give it a try since we were only there a short time. I noticed the price is normally $10.99 so you are only saving a $1. I looked online and the website had listed the grits and potatoes are gluten free. When I got there I asked for a gluten free menu and neither was listed as gluten free. It was a upcharge for the fruit and espresso drink so I decided to just get the special and bring my brother n law the biscuit , bacon and potatoes back. The chicken sausage was dry and barely edible. The scrambled eggs were ok. They did offer lattes and espresso drinks that were reasonably priced. The service was really good. The server boxed up the food for me and gave us to go cups. Probably would be better for those without food allergies. My husband said the food was ok. Stopped in for breakfast after reading reviews about the biscuits and grits. Very nice atmosphere. Both of those items were good. You really don't need to add anything to the grits. The other food wasn't great. The chicken and waffles: wasn't crazy about the type of seasoning on the chicken. Pus, one side of the tender was fried crispy while the other side was soft, just odd. I also don't like the slight char all over. The waffles were pretty good. Pancakes are spongy, but that characteristic actually worked out good for the pancake tacos. The chicken sage sausage wasn't great. Potatoes were good. If you venture out, go early. The place really started to get busy around 10am. read more

Went here in the past and the food/service was wonderful. Today we had hair in our food, our eggs were raw and we waited 15 minutes while there were open tables. Once we were seated we waited an extra 10 minutes because none of the servers knew who were assigned to our table; "who has 13" was stated while walking by us. Worst breakfast I've ever had. They brought out our breakfast and said "sorry, we're out of biscuits, it'll be 20 minutes." My breakfast was eaten before the biscuit came out. We both ordered eggs over medium, both of ours were hard as a rock. If you order toast, they bring you 1 piece. I mean, really. Are you saving that much on bread. We don't know about the food because we left before we could get service. We arrived 11:30 am and the place had dirty dishes on 50% of the tables. It Took 10 minutes to seat us. Sat for 15 minutes without contact with waitress. The table next to us was checking out and I overheard them mention that there was no meat in the breakfast. I also noted that there were people that were seated before we got there and they were approached by a waitress who said she would be with them in a minute. There were quite a few people who seemed to be waiting for service. We waited another 5 minutes with no contact. We decided to leave. Especially when there were 4 waitresses in the back having a good old time talking to each other while people waited for service. Half the servers are at least 50 pounds overweight and it shows in their energy and attitude. Mean girls in a prior life. You know the type. We always tip 20%, even for mediocre service. But bad attitude and no offer for coffee refills will get you $1. A 5 for the food, a 2 for the service averages out to about a 3.5 star review today. I was in town visiting family and was recommended this by them when they were occupied. I came in for a late brunch and ended up sitting at the counter to make it easier on the staff since they were winding do The biscuit that came out before the meal was light and fluffy. I would have taken several to go if I had been staying in the area longer. Sadly the apple butter they are known for was out due to supply arrival issues. They had a homemade peach marmalade instead and it was still amazing. I honestly would have liked both options for a couple biscuits on the side for a part of the meal. My main meal was French toast with strawberries and cream cheese icing, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and sausage patties. I devoured the French toast and it honestly was like a desert with the fresh strawberries and cream cheese icing. The sausage patties had a nice flavor with a surprising amount of spice kick behind it and the hashbrowns were done nice and crispy. The only complaint was the scrambled eggs. You could tell that they were not fresh eggs and that they had come out of a carton. They had that fake texture to them that just wasn't freshly scrambled eggs. I would have just went with over easy or some other fresh egg and would have been happier. All around a nice little brunch place that I would visit again upon future visits. read more

Me and Two of my fellow veterans went for breakfast this morning. As usual, the service was friendly and they had no trouble at all accommodating my friend's service dog. The biscuits were perfect as always. Both my friends ordered Orange juice. Both of their juices didn't look or taste right. The waitress said that they had been getting a bunch of complaints about the orange juice lately and she didn't know what was wrong with it, but she cheerfully took them off the bill. I ordered the Piedmont Omelette and it came out way overdone. One of my friends ordered the poached eggs and they also were overdone. There was no runny yoke when she cut into them. My third friend ordered the shrimp and grits and he said they were very good. I'm not sure what went wrong this morning, but I sure hope they get it fixed soon. read more

What a fun stop in the Villages for brunch! Be sure to get the GA Peaches and Waffle Breakfast, as it's basically the entire Flying Biscuit Breakfast plus a peach waffle. We also got the Steak and Eggs, which also comes with their awesome biscuit! It's a fresh alternative to all of the chain restaurants in the area to get homemade Southern biscuits, sweet tea, and shrimp and grits! Bright dining room with friendly staff. Parking lot is in the back but be prepared to drop your party at the door first as this town center is popular! Even though there's more places around this business to choose from this place has the BEST grits I've had in a long time. My husband had the Steak & Eggs with potatoes instead of the grits (he's just not a grits person). I ordered the Best I Ever Had plate with those delicious grits. We both also had a fluffy flying biscuit served with butter and cranberry apple butter(both on the side- not directly on the biscuits). Our waitress was great and helped me with my order whether to have raspberry sauce and honey crème anglaise on the side or on top of my French toast. There's seating outside as well as inside but it's not a big place. When we arrived the place was busy and by the time we were done they were slowing down. This restaurant has always been one of our favorite breakfast spots, which is why this experience was so upsetting. We came in on Tuesday with a party of 8, including my two young children (ages 3 and 1). My 3-year-old and I arrived a little late, but the rest of our party had already ordered and the food came out shortly after we sat down. Everything tasted great, and the kids were being well-behaved. While I was eating and feeding my one-year-old, he made normal baby noises--nothing excessive or disruptive. Out of nowhere, a waitress (who I later learned is named Lisa) screamed across the restaurant in a loud, aggressive tone: "OOOOKAYYYYYYYYY." The entire restaurant went silent. I was shocked, embarrassed, and hurt. If my child had been screaming or running around, I could at least understand someone being frustrated. But that wasn't the case--he was simply making regular toddler sounds and even interacting sweetly with other customers, many of whom were smiling, waving, and talking back to him. Several waitresses came over to quietly apologize, and other customers even approached me to say how inappropriate Lisa's behavior was and that the children were fine. No manager came out, no one addressed the situation directly, and unfortunately, I was too emotional to approach Lisa myself at the time. Later, after collecting my thoughts, I emailed the restaurant in hopes of speaking to someone beyond a general manager, but I never received a response. You are entitled to a child-free personal life, but you are not entitled to a child-free world, especially when working in a customer service environment. What saddens me most is how this situation was handled--or rather, not handled. No guest should ever be yelled at across a restaurant, especially when no rules were being broken and no disruption was occurring. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously. We truly loved coming here, but after this experience and the complete lack of follow-up, I don't feel welcome anymore. read more

Not only was it way too spicy, it was dinky, cold, and didn't have any queso sauce in it that the menu said it had. My fries weren't hot either. She didn't check back with us to see if we liked our meal either.
