I recently got a new female puppy after my dog of 15 years passed from cancer. I have two other male dogs, one being a stubborn, possessive Westie. I had a superb experience with Sydney across three training sessions over a month. My goal was to manage my dog's leash-pulling and her wild excitement when walking past other dogs. Sydney thoroughly assessed my dog's behavior, provided insights, and modeled strategies for me to implement regularly. She also sent along tons of info with tips and reminders. The progress my dog has made is impressive. Taking Sydney's advice to heart and applying it daily has led to significant changes. My dog has made noticeable progress walking on a leash and is not pulling, and is finding her calm when walking past other dogs. Now both me and my dog are finally enjoying walks! I am maintaining what I learned from Sydney and have a full belt of treats during our walks to keep up the training. I am noticing that the amount of treats that I use each walk lessens as the new learnings become a habit for my dog. Let me start off by saying my 1.5 year old German Shepherd Husky mix is a pandemic puppy. I got him back in June 2020. Because of that, he was very unsocialized.
