Best find in dog training. My dog has improved better than expected. Amelia is the best trainer. In addition to the provates, group lesson are amazing. Matan has given my dog better confidence and guided me on how to continue the proper training method.

We are so grateful to Amelia at Matan for training us and our 2 year old German Shepherd, Kona. After taking basic training classes somewhere else, we were still struggling with some behavioral issues. After just 2 private lessons with Amelia, our dog was doing better with heel, sit, stay, come and dealing with distractions. We now feel so much better when taking our dog out in public and get so many compliments on how well behaved she is!! We can not thank Amelia enough. And thank you Heather for guiding us through all our training choices. We selected the 8 Private and 8 Group sessions. We plan to Board and Train Kona there too in the future when we travel.

We love Matan Dog Training. Our 10 month old Bernadoodle was nipping and biting us when he thought he was playing. We needed help and structure. After a 3-week bootcamp with the Matan team, he is a completely different dog. We are so happy we found them! We also used them to groom Barkley at the end of his boot camp stay, they did a great job!! He was super clean and fluffy!

Hands down best training facility around. The staff is super friendly and Matan is awesome! What really makes this place stand out is their trainer Amelia. She is by far the best trainer I have ever had and I've had a lot of them. She is not only an outstanding trainer but a genuinely nice person. She truly cares about dogs and owners. She sets up challenging real life situations where you and your pup gain an incredible amount of experience and technique. She guides you in such a warm and friendly manner and is super encouraging throughout your sessions whether individual or group. I cannot believe how far my girl has come. We went from a shelter dog with no training and super reactive to other dogs to socializing with dogs, not reacting to dogs when walking on leash or in group training and walking with no leash at the park. I'm truly amazed at the amount of progress she has made since working with Amelia. I've seen Amelia help many owners with reactive dogs and it's incredible how far they have come. Highly recommend!

I signed my 1.5 year old rescue dog up for five one on one classes and four group classes. It was an incredible experience! They stress that you HAVE TO work on what was taught between classes or don't come to class since everything builds. I put the work in and my dog did great. I highly recommend this business.

Our 6 month old, adopted shelter energetic puppy learned so many great lessons! She is so eager to please and follows the techniques we too were taught. We are so grateful to Matan, our trainer Tiffany, Heather who set everything up! !We recommend them all and plan to keep up with refresher sessions. Thank you! Catherine, Robert and especially Ginger-Grace !

Can't teach an old dog new tricks, think again! My dog Reggie is an 8 yr 2mo. old German shepherd whom I've had for his entire life and has been mainly untrained. His behavioral issues have included leash pulling, impulse control, aggression/ resource guarding on pillows/cushions, extreme reactivity towards other dogs & excessive barking. In fear I'd have to cross the street anytime a dog was walking towards us; he'd pull Like a reindeer anytime he saw a squirrel or a rabbit, jump on house guests and aggressively bark at the Neighbors dog through the fence. I procrastinated like a college student on getting training in his earlier years and thought I could tolerate this for the duration of his life as I'd heard there's little obedience training you can do for senior dogs (Little did I know). I finally hit my wits end deciding It's not fair to me or to Reggie so I took him to Matan whom I met as a client a year ago. Reggie went on a 4 week board and train which allowed me to take a much needed vacation. I was sent regular updates on his progress and within a week he seemed like a new dog being highly motivated by food as well as following basic commands. By week two I was surprised to see him walking (heel position) & training side by side with another dog with no reactivity. The trainer Benny in the video is a dog whisperer. Week 3 & 4 he's learning to stay in place/recall with other distractions and Matan even took him to a mall which is something I thought I'd never be able to do. The game changer has been his engagement with me and by the end of the program I know I'm totally relaxed with him and as a result he trusts me. Now after the training, As Matan says this is the Dojo, real world will be different. The Training builds the ship for you but you still have to do the work. For the first time I know what work to do, immediately correcting some of the old bad behaviors and reinforcing/rewarding the good obedience. It's a new lifestyle and I'm enjoying all parts of it. Can't recommend Matan and his team enough! Don't wait like I did..

I cannot speak highly enough about Matan's Dog Training! We were referred here by a friend before getting a puppy and it was the best decision we could have made for our dog! She participated in their board and train program at three months old. Tiffany was wonderful with her and taught her so much at such a young age! Our puppy still goes there weekly to attend training sessions, day camp, and get groomed. It is a one stop shop for all your dog needs, but most importantly the quality is unmatched. The staff there is so attentive and their communication skills leave us feeling heard and informed. I really cannot speak highly enough of everyone there at Matan's Dog Training!

It's a no frills spot where dogs are the focus. Our giant schnauzer has been coming to Matan since he was 6 months old, first as a rambunctious and naughty puppy, and now as a well adjusted and happy dog, all thanks to their training. He often walks in like he owns the place and just adores every single person there; the grooming is also just as amazing as the training! This is also the only place our spoiled rotten 13 year old Pomeranian will tolerate boarding when we travel...

Where do I start. This training center is AMAZING. It's LIFE CHANGING. It's out of this world FABULOUS. After trying a few private trainers, I had given up all hopes of ever getting my furry baby to socialize and be calm and happy around strangers. I would look on enviously and longingly at other happy doggies and desperately wish the same for my Pepper. I met Matan accidentally. Beware - he's not a salesman. He won't push you to buy sessions. He won't convince you that it's doomsday if you don't train with him. He'll want to know how to help you because that's what he does best - help you and your fur baby navigate the world in a calmer, happier manner. Amelia was assigned to us and she is OUTSTANDING. Super patient, super proficient, super understanding, oh I could go on and on about how fabulous she is with Pepper. At the end of our privates, Pepper even decided that he liked her so much as to wag his tail off and cuddle with her. If you're on the fence, don't be. This place is amazing. I'm so grateful to Heather who has to be the nicest person I've ever met - always professional and always ready to help. Matan and his team are rock stars. Highly highly highly highly recommend.

When is summer camp at Matan?

My Cane Corso absolutely loves this place! They treat him like an equal and expect good behavior in return. I secretly think he looks forward to a summer board and train!

How much is your board and train program for a 3 month old puppy?

We had a very hard time taking our new best friend out on walks around the neighborhood. We went through two other trainers before we found Bar and just couldn't get the help we needed. Then we found bar and working with him has genuinely been the best decision we made as new dog owners. We did Bar's board and train program. After that month, Benny came home with so much improvement and skills. His engagement with us and responsiveness to us was night and day, making all things easier for us and Benny. Bar is very patient and compassionate with both dogs and people. The one thing that really sold it to us was just how much Benny loves working with Bar. I had been going to Zoom Room for over 2 years and had experienced some different trainers, some of whom were good, some bad. Finally, there was some consistency with an excellent trainer, Cari, and so I purchased an annual membership. Over the past year I had worked with Cari, who was fantastic. She had an amazing talent for knowing what you and your dog could handle and needed and she prioritized safety and the overall experience. Unfortunately, Cari left recently, and I have to imagine the owner had something to do with it, as clearly this location is horrendously mismanaged. There was a period of time where there were no classes available, and we were never told why. Then randomly they announced "new management" and brought in a trainer who had been shadowing Cari for just a few weeks as the new Manager and solo trainer. I had briefly worked with this trainer and I was not very impressed with his training skills. I did not feel like I would be making progress with my dog any more at this location, so I contacted the owner Diego asking for a partial refund. He talked disrespectfully about his previous employees, ranted about me not giving people a try, and raised his voice, berating me about "what if you signed up for a membership at a yoga studio and your favorite instructor left" among other things. During this rant he also shared that the trainers they get are untrained and uncertified and they go through some basic training before coming on board which does NOT inspire confidence in the future of this location. I have NEVER been spoken to in such a disrespectful, aggressive way as a customer. This franchise is clearly not well run. While they might find gems of trainers like Cari from time to time, you might also get stuck with untrained people.. or possibly even NO instructors. As another review mentions, consistency in trainer is absolutely critical to progress with your dog, and while I understand there is some employee turnover expected over time, this location has experienced too much turnover to be acceptable. I truly did love my experience with Zoom Room while Cari was there but now I highly recommend you save your money. It's not worth spending that much money to potentially have to keep working with different, random, possibly untrained employees and be talked down to by the franchise owner who really needs to hone his business and customer service skills.

Before enrolling, I asked if I could attend one session to see if it was a good fit, especially since I was concerned my puppy might experience car sickness. I was told I had to purchase a package. Although it was $499, I enrolled because I'm committed to training my dog as early as possible. On our first day, we were informed that because only three puppies were present, the full 50-minute session (which I had already paid for) could not be conducted due to "corporate rules," and class was reduced to 30 minutes. That was disappointing, but I chose to give it a chance. Unfortunately, my puppy did get car sick on the drive despite not eating beforehand. After the 40-mile round trip, it became clear she cannot tolerate the commute. Given that reality, I contacted Zoom Room a few days later to withdraw and request a refund. I was again told "corporate rules" prohibit refunds. The suggestion was to suspend my account and resume later if my puppy outgrows the car sickness. However, I need training now, while she is young and manageable -- not months from now when she's much larger. This wasn't a case of changing my mind or being dissatisfied with the trainer or facility. It was simply an inability to physically use the service. I was disappointed that there was no flexibility for extenuating circumstances. If you're considering enrolling, I strongly recommend reading the refund policy carefully before committing.

I want the best for my puppies, so I asked so many different people where and how they trained their dogs. I received a few suggestions, but decided to do my own search...and I'm glad I did. Leo (Owner) and his amazing team of trainers TRULY care about the pups they train. Leo came to my home and wanted to meet me and my pups before I had to decide on making any decisions. After sitting down with him for about half an hour, I knew I found what I was looking for: Someone who wants me to have healthy and happy dogs. I signed up for the in-home training at first which is Leo coming to the house and training me on how to train my puppies (Archie and Charlie just turned 6 months and started with Leo and his team when they were 4.5). Very quickly, I realized I could not handle training both these puppies the way they needed to be trained. I discussed with Leo and decided to do a Board & Train. I like the schedule because I get to take the puppies on the weekends to spend time with me. Don't get me wrong, you NEED to train your pups on the weekends, but it's worth it and FUN. Archie has become the Puppy King (no offense to other puppies or their owners )). Charlie has a lot more energy, but has improved immensely! Leo's trainers are so caring. I feel my dogs get love with their training when they're not with me, and I couldn't ask for more.
