It was my first time here and had I not purchased a package plan- I would not be returning. The instructor was nice, However the class was not what I expected it to be. I took a dance cardio class for reference. My experience was no dance some cardio.. my expectation and preference would've been more dancing.

Known specifically for its high level of Modern dance training, Steffi Nossen attracts some of the best teachers and choreographers in the industry. The difference? The Steffi community is truly a family. My sisters and I all danced here and have made friendships that have lasted far beyond our high school years. While some who train here go on to a professional dance career, others have continued to find the joy of dance in all aspects of their life. We were able to work with choreographers like Patrick Corbin, Sidra Bell, Peter Pucci, Nancy Lushington, Michael Foley, Annmaria Mazzini, Sabatino Verlezza and Pam Tanowitz. We were able to perform as young girls in the outstanding SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center, and other prominent venues in NYC. Steffi Nossen's studios are beautiful and centrally located in White Plains. In addition to Modern training, Steffi Nossen has incredible ballet, jazz, hip hop, and tap classes as well. I began at SNS at age 3, and I know many others who spent their childhood years here too. Without a doubt this school is unique and special. It's not just the best school in Westchester, Steffi Nossen also boasts a thriving foundation that seeks to bring dance to all people - regardless of personal circumstance. Their Moving Wheels and Heels program features adaptive dance for both stand up and wheelchair dancers. As a student at the school, I was able to work with this program. As a young woman, being able to not just hone my own technique, but also give back in such a fundamental way, was truly remarkable. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for high caliber dance training in a supportive environment. Steffi dancers stay connected long after high school. I am honored to be part of this community.

She is taking 14 classes a week and never complains about going to the studio. This studio is like a second home for her. Mrs. Logrea is still the heart and sole of the studio and continues to set the bar high for her students. Nick Logrea is always present and always makes time to talk things out and ease any concerns I have. Mr. Logrea is still teaching ballet classes and is one of my daughter's favorite teachers (He truly cares about hos students and always has a smile on his face when he walks into the studio). All of the teachers at this studio, especially Ms. Rebecca, Ms. Natalie, Ms. Jane, Mr. Billy, Mr. David, and Mr. Josh are all amazing and have helped my daughter grow so much this year! The training at this studio is unmatched. The Spring Concert, the Gala, the Cabaret, and of course Ms. Logrea's Nutcracker are all so amazing! I have no regrets about joining this studio and Dance family:)

It makes me laugh when I read the filtered reviews for Logrea and how interesting...Everyone rated…read morefive stars...Of course that means its totally legitimate, I mean come on! NOT I watched a family member slowly lose confidence after attending this 'academy' and I could not urge more, to really pay attention to your child's behavior if they are a part of this school. The place is freezing, and on one of the worse street corners, accompanied by maybe TWO parking spots. The others are clearly and boldly marked for other businesses, or the Logreas themselves; and otherwise they will tow you. I witnessed many younger children just sitting around while some select few were given the most attention inside; the cramped inside space it was as well. If you were not 98 pounds and the lightest on your feet, forget having a chance. Logrea is queen at playing favorites. I applaud talent, but come on, recognize the other talent around you!!! Some girls were not allowed to graduate to point, one of the most rewarding and exciting times a young dancer can experience, when they are ready; unless you are of course, Too Fat. And by standards of fat, they mean an 8 yr old weighing 62 pounds and at a decent height. I know you need to have 'strong ankles' but it was often ironic that the girls that didn't graduate were the ones that weren't shelling out the $$$$ for 4-5 classes a week. To start the body consciousness, and loss of self esteem at such a young age is deplorable. I'm not saying that Logrea doesn't turn out great dancers, because they can and do; but it is rare when they teach and show all their students with respect. Maybe things have changed over the years for the better, and I truly hope so for the sake of all the dancers.

Ballet des Amériques is an extraordinary institution led by a beautiful artistic director of…read morerespect and high class, Mme. Carole Alexis. After being in the school for eight years, essentially growing up here as I am now eighteen years old, I have learned and received high quality dance training, artistry, ethical and moral values, and proper dance and life etiquette. Because of Mme. Alexis, I have been accepted into the summer programs of Washington School of Ballet and Ballet West Academy; I have attended the summer intensives of notable schools such as Paris Opera Ballet School, Bolshoi Ballet Academy NYC, School of American Ballet Theatre, and Juilliard Dance -- where I was allocated at the highest levels. Despite the pleasant memories and the lovely acquaintances I made in these programs, I will always return to Ballet des Amériques as it is because of this school -- along with the faculty and staff, that has made so much possible for me. In Ballet des Amériques, every teacher is attentive and caring towards every single student. There is no tolerance towards negativity including gossip, bullying, rumors, and favoritism. Because of this, the school has a positive professional ambiance that has us students thriving for success. As an upcoming graduate, I see the younger students with nothing but excitement for the firsts they're going to have, and pride for the joy and professionalism they are attaining at such a young age. It has come to my full awareness that Ballet des Amériques cultivates our minds and hearts to become dedicated, passionate, intelligent, and kind human beings, all while teaching the tradition of dance at a high quality. It is my second year as a trainee in the professional dance company of Ballet des Amériques. Through this, I can continue my advanced ballet training, develop my artistry, and learn how to work in a professional environment. I am both honored and humbled to be working alongside amazing dancers and to have the opportunity to learn the exquisite repertoire and choreography of Mme. Alexis. The rigorous rehearsals and the vivid performances continue to fuel the fire of dance in my heart. All in all, I highly recommend Ballet des Amériques as a quality school, and as a company to watch regularly. I have nothing but love and gratitude for Mme. Carole Alexis, and for all of BdA.

The Director and faculty members are dedicated and extremely generous with their time and knowledge. The performances are a delight ! A class ACT!

They have dedicated huge parking lot, lots of studios rooms inside for different classes. Multiple rooms to store bags and shoes. There's waiting area and waiting room. Couple of restrooms, very clean and well maintained. My daughter started with toddler class and continued to her second year of intro to Ballet. Ms. Kerri is an amazing instructor, very friendly, patient and playful with the kids. Classes are for 45 minutes. Same classes are offered during week and on the weekend, so easy to do makeup classes by attending the alternative class. Tuition fees are very decent, way cheaper than some of the places we tried before. Registration and monthly tuition, all of it can be managed through website. They are also very helpful in person with any question or concern. I have been very pleased taking my daughter here for her classes over a year now. It's a wonderful facility that has a history of developing incredible Ballet performers through its classes.
